Ive been eating here since 1999 when I moved to NJ and have never been disappointed. The staff gets to know the regulars (of which there are many), pays attention; the food is fresh and aplenty (especially w/ fruit thats on top of pancakes -yummy and plenty of strawberries and bananas), and they have a lot of vegetarian options and happily modify if you ask. For the best, look at the daily specials during the weekday, and on the weekends, look at the specials on the stand-alone sheet at the table (not the menu).

open for breakfast and lunch. the food, atmosphere and service are all excellent. the omelettes are delicious ... and there are so many to choose from, with so many add-ins from asparagus to goat cheese. the lunch wraps, sandwiches and pininis are also wonderful ... with delicious veggie burgers or chicken in great combinations It has been a weekend staple for me! entrees range from $6-9 dollars ... slightly more expensive than your average jersey diner, but the food quality is well worth it.

Food didnt impress me all that much, but I do think its a decent cafe. The service here is pretty darn good, I usually get my food about ten minutes after ordering. Out of the few choices I have tried I think I like the french toast the most. Coffee is just okay, wish they had a bit more variety in that department. Still a good choice for breakfast nonetheless, would give it closer to 3.5 stars probably.

Ive been coming here weekly for close to a year now. Its a wonderful breakfast / lunch spot, with very friendly staff. The food is well priced, and always good. Even when crowded, its fairly quiet, and a great spot whether you want to have lunch with 15 people, or grab a 7am breakfast bagel and coffee for a spot of peace and quiet before work.

This is a great little place that I passed by for years before finally trying. I wish I had went in sooner! The location is quite convenient. Diner food at good prices, all the staff are warm and friendly. My only complaint is that their hours arent longer; Id really love to have a diner properly in Highland Park that I can walk to.

Amazing breakfast! watery coffee. I dont have the heart to tell them how bad their coffee is. I suppose they prefer to not compete with the coffee shop a few doors away. Despite the watery lame coffee, I still enjoy their breakfast frequently. The omelettes are incredible!

More interesting menu than a typical diner. Has some healthy choices too. Portions are large and prices reasonable for the volume of food. I would prefer smaller portions and lower prices. Shows community art works. Staff seems to stay a while.

Homey little restaurant in downtown Highland Park...my husband & I have eaten breakfast here often, which is always good. Prices are reasonable. They get busy on weekend mornings, fyi. Street parking available.

Wow... not much more can be said. The Ham, Mushroom, Pepper, Onion, and Cheese omelet was phenominal. Coffee was never close to empty, and tasted great. Great service and great food.

They have great breakfast specials on weekdays and weekends. I love the omelets, theyre enormous and full of fresh ingredients. Wraps are also good and many veg options.

My dad and I are regulars here at the dish. The staff is always friendly and everything is at least good. I would suggest the blackened salmon salad. Truly delicious.
