Great for a party or dinner anytime! I threw my fiancé a surprise birthday party at Bennies this weekend and the food and the service made the event a huge success. Bennie himself could not have been more helpful with the reservation and the menu planning—he made sure that the combination of family-style salads (bean salad, hummus, falafel), kabobs, herbed French fries, and roasted vegetables (eggplant, cauliflower) were suitable for vegetarian and gluten-free guests. He also let me drop off wine and goodie bags (which he set out before my guests and I arrived) a few hours before the party. When I arrived with the birthday boy and two big plates of cupcakes, Bennie stashed the cupcakes in the back, and when dessert rolled around, he discovered the candles I had included (and forgotten to mention to him), placed them on the cupcakes, lit them, and brought them out while we all sang. The evening went perfectly, and the guests all went insane over the delicious food. We will be back again for dinner soon!

We tried Bennies for the first time a while ago because my boyfriend knows I am always looking for the best in authentic middle eastern quisine. Well, my search is over! I was amazed by the menu and everything we had was so delicious if I had an extra stomach Id have stayed for another hour. What I liked in particular, which is always a good sign by the way, is that as we sat eating, a constant stream of "regulars" came though the door to pick up and were greeted warmly by the waitress, who seemed to know everone by name. I will definately be one of those "regulars"! If you go, try the Hummus, its a MUST. Anything else you cant go wrong with.

Became an instant fan of Bennies as soon as I walked in. Cute romantic interior with cool ceilings and rose petal filled tables. Plus, its BYOB! Service def gets 5 stars :) heres why: My friend and I ordered the 3-app plus a kebab for $16. But our waiter messed up one side on my dish (sautéed spinach vs spinach pie) and one side on my friends (mohamara dip vs sautéed mushrooms). He immediately brought us the 2 original apps we ordered... no ifs ands or buts... ALL with a big smile :D That made the delicous food taste even more delicious. What a great neighborhood staple. Definitely will come back here!

My go to middle eastern entree is usually a combination plate of shish kabob (cubed lamb) and shish tawook (cubed chicken). This dish was very different than what Im used to at Roses of Englewood. This dish while flowing with a variety of peppers, mushrooms and cauliflower lacked that certain zing of spices on the chicken and lamb that Roses has. Id come back to try a different entree but for kabobs Id go to Roses.

The food is very authentic Lebanese and tasty ! It features a variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes and in addition they have an array of choices from burgers, to wraps, tacos to Pizzas and fresh seafood from ahi tuna, Atlantic salmon, shrimp and cod ! You cant lose here. Whats better the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is comfy cozy ! Also BYOB!

Really great food and service! I had the cranberry, blue cheese salad. The waitress suggested adding grilled chicken. It required apples which they were out of...but they were running out to get them! Now thats what I call fresh! And great service :) I loved the atmosphere too. I was with a group of friends going to the PAC and we ALL enjoyed our food.

Most worth going when weathers nice and you can sit outside, but the food is definitely super. Can get out of there as cheaply as anywhere in Englewood with the falafel and other sandwiches, or you can get a great mixture of entrees that seem really authentic.

Great food, charming decor, and good, friendly service. When the restaurant got busy service slowed because they only had one server but thats not really a big deal under the circumstances. Prices werent great but not outrageous. You get a lot of food.

This place gets pretty crowded for dinner. I would recommend coming in to reserve a table. I dont think they take online reservations, but not 100% sure on that. The food there is great. Its healthy food that tastes good. Their spicy fries are great!
