In the years since weve moved from the area, Marys continues to be the point of reference my friend and I use for breakfast. In a later neighborhood we found a pretty good cafe, with roughly similar breakfast -- though not quite as satisfying -- offerings, and we took to calling that place "Fake Marys." Every now and then when I make an acceptable egg-and-cheese sandwich, she compliments me: "Mm, almost as good as Fake Marys." But why settle for Fake Marys when you can have the original? They deliver! Only real downsides: it seems like theyre never open when you want them to be; and like most restaurants in the area its not really a place you go to. Take out, delivery; its all good. Its all about the food, not the atmosphere.

I dont know what this person was talking bout roaches in his coffee? This IS one of the cleanest places in that part of Brooklyn and belive you me, theres not a damn thing to eat in that area until I found Marys. Everybody is nice, courteous, and very generous with there portions of DELICIOUS food. I always pay them a visit if not everyday, then every other day. I know I dont have to worry bout any roaches in my coffee cause there always up to date on their inspections as Ive seen it for myself so if your in that area, I highly recomended this place!

Cool little local spot. Small diner style interior with counter seating and a few booths. The food is good, So far only been there for breakfast, but their omelettes with home fries and grits and toast and bottomless coffee goes a long way. People are chatty with their friends or family. Staff are friendly, busy and fairly cheerful. Just a proper diner.

Marys is the only breakfast in Brooklyn that suits my taste buds. I am a from NY but I live in VA. My first stop everytime is at Marys!!!! Customer service is great. Food is always piping hot & served promptly & is delicious too. Its nice to sit in as it feels like breakfast at your moms house! Please suppory local businesses. Gracias!!!

Greatest burgers ever. French toast and bacon is the best breakfast Ive tasted in a long time. All the food tastes homemade and they make it exactly how you want, while paying attention to detail. Prices are great Nothing is expensive but it tastes like it should be. I would recommend this place to all

The atmosphere is great it fits the urban neighborhood it is in. I come here all the time for their pancakes obviously cause I love it . I cant see myself ever NOT coming here, Im treated like familia :)
