FIRST TIME AND I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER RETURN! I AM PERSONALLY EMBARRASSED TO HAVE A RESTAURANT THIS BAD SERVING TOURISTS IN MY CITY! ON BEHALF OF MY CITY I APOLOGIZE! This place is disgusting in every way. When you walk in there are dead roasted ducks hanging by the neck in the front. It smells and the lae just looks old and unkept and unclean. We were seated right away but there were not many people inside and at 5:30p that should have been my first sign. The waiter was very disinterested and not attentive at all. I felt we were rushed and got a sense that since were were not their own kind that they want to make us feel welcomed so we do not come back. Really I felt this way. No water was provided and when I asked for it we got tiny orange juice size glasses as if to send the message that you are not welcome to drink water with your meal. Buy a drink! The food was served by another waiter sliding a single dish at a time on the end of the table and walking away. I mean it he just dropped it off and walked away. He did not ask who the food was for! There were three of us and he did this each time! Forget about understanding what they were even saying. Their English was non existent. My friends liked their food but my food was not good at all and I am not a picky eater. The waiter paid no more attention to us until it time to pay the check. I laid out my American Express card and I got a rude CASH ONLY! I was in shock! In Las Vegas, in China Town in a big restaurant. I asked the waiter if he knew what century we were in and he said "we have sign say cash only". I looked around and there among the many signs and tacky pictures were two small signs that said CASH ONLY. There was no sign on the front door when you walk in. This was just a joke and an insult, how cheap can the owners of this restaurant be! How insensitive can you be to the locals and tourists this place is near the strip. A cab driver friend of mine says that he drops tourists off there all the time what a surprise when they are expected to pay cash. What if you cam with a part of 8 or more. Who these days carries that much cash on them! Thank god my friend has an extra $20.00 on him. The water glasses were never refilled and the waiter had bad teeth and stuck his thumb in the plate when serving to another table. I deducted 3.00 from his tip. I came home and pulled up Yelp and no surprise, this place only had two stars and nothing but complaints. Not only will I never come back to this place but I will go out of my way to tell people to stay away from this dump! I get better service at a McDonalds in the Drive Thru than I did at this place. They have so many negative postings I am sure they are aware of how people feel about their food and service yet they have done nothing to make improvements. They deserve to go out of business. This is really my fault for not checking with Yelp and other online sources. Save your money and stay away from this DUMP-A-RAMA!

I have been to Sam Woo BBQ for years because I LOVE their food, but their service has always been AWFUL! They do not care about customer service at all and now they add the tip to your bill because they know they dont deserve one. On one occasion, after eating lunch, I ordered additional food to go and put some of their chili oil in my to go container. The cashier saw me do it and got very upset and told me that it costs 25. Cents to take some chili oil home with me, it was just 2 spoonfuls that I added to my to go container. I couldnt believe she would be so rude over 25. Cents after I spent $50 on my meal and I was purchasing food to go and she knew that. They really need new management and new waiters that will make people want to keep coming back. It used to be full when I would go eat there a few years ago and now it is just a few tables with customers. I will still keep coming back there because it is my Dads favorite restaurant (Because of the food only), but I will definitely tell them to remove the tip if they do not deserve it. Especially when I ask them for water and they dont bring any at all. They expect you to just drink their complimentary tea.

You go here, because its where your Chinese neighbor likes to eat. In my case, it was a tour group of 80 Chinese. I enjoy duck, and they offered a wonton soup with roast duck that appealed to me. It was as delicious as I expected! Later, I learned that half my tour group ordered the same dish for lunch! Why? Because its authentic, and the duck is cooked right, according the them, and I could not agree more. Total including tip was $12. As for service and decor? Same as you would expect in a real Chinese eatery anywhere else in the U.S. hence why I rated it good. Its good service for the type of restaurant (Im not talking about the asian buffet in the mall, but the real chinese places that hangs roasted ducks and pork in the window - as does the Woo.) I will be back!

We were there on 11/14/2016. We arrived at noon time, ordered a plate of 3 kinds BBQ and 2 kinds of BBQ on rice. They gave us BBQ pork which was days old..meat texture was hard and blacken, the chicken breast was very very dry and hard as well. Seems like the chicken has been sitting under the warmer overnight. The waiter just brought us the foods and never came back once to check on us how was the food nor to fill our teapot. They would have the guts to add the tips onto our bill. We actually left the restaurant without tipping them. They dont deserve anying. They provide NO customer service there. It was the worst BBQ food...BAD FOOD AND CUSTOMER SERVICE....NEVER EVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN.

--The cashier lady tried to over charge you!!!-- My family wen to this place few times. The last one, on 08/23/2016, was really really bad! Food is not tested good like before, small portion, pricey and slow service. The worst part is: the cashier lady tried to over charge you!!! She printed our a credit card receipt with amount $58.35. Then, she stapled another small sticker on top of it with another $7.00 item, so the amount became $65.35. If I didnt pay attention, I may paid $58.35 + $7.00 + Tip! I asked her what is that? She took it off and said it was for another customer! Big liar! Be careful people!

Is there a way to put no star at all? I cannot remember when is the last time I left a dish almost untouched, maybe never in my life. Im a chinese myself and they thought I dont know anything about these food? This is not roasted pork, its leftover pork! And the wonton, its one of the lousiest Ive ever tried. I bring a Spanish friend today and I feel ashamed, he visited the restroom and he almost fainted in there. And most important is, nobody from the boss to the servers seems to care. I think this restaurant still in business because they are in the heart of Chinatown, good location.
