The busboy finally sat us after we waited 10 minutes for a host/hostess that apparently had the night off..? We saw our server twice: once when she took our order, and once when she brought the bill (the chef served us the food). The shrimp I ordered was satisfactory. Too bad the salmon my wife ordered was cold inside and watery. Our dogs at home seemed to enjoy the slop though, as we doggy-bagged the leftover mess. After our meal, I took the little paper receipt the server gave me to the cashier. Again, waited for 10 minutes...(I even was tempted to leave not paying, as no one would have noticed or cared). A waitress finally came up and asked me how she could help. I told her I wanted to pay my bill. She said my server would take my payment, then she left. Now usually, servers give the hint that they will take your payment with a few obvious signals: 1) they present you your bill in a leather book, with a place to put your credit card, and a pen for you to sign, or 2) they say something like, "Ill take this when youre ready." I got neither, I simply got a paper receipt. I took the $8 tip I had placed on the table before this lame confusion, and left her $3 as a statement. Im kicking myself for leaving that much. Anyways, Ill never dine there again, and I am telling everyone I know not to dine there either. I will however visit other locations (as Memphis BBQ has the best sweet tea), just not the one on Eastern and Warm Springs.

Ive been going to the Memphis BBQ on Warm Springs now for more than 7 years. The food & service used to be great - worthy of a 5-star review. Not the case anymore. We still go every few weeks, as it is hit & miss now. Sometimes the food is still good, but often it is overcooked or taste like its been sitting out for a while under a heat lamp. We stopped going inside a while ago because the service inside was extremely slow, even when they werent that busy. Now we just call in and order to pickup through their drive-thru. Unfortunately, theyve managed to ruin this as well. They typically forget to put parts of your order in. Its a pain because now we have to untie their plastic bag, open each of the boxes and inspect everything before we drive off. Sometimes we just cross our fingers and hope they got it right, just to come home and see they didnt give us the bbq sauce for the bbq burger. Or one of the sides is missing. Or the cheeseburger is missing cheese and came with absolutely no toppings. The list goes on. We kept coming back because all in all, its still better than fastfood for a few extra dollars. However, we are finding ourselves ordering curbside Applebees more often than Memphis lately... that just seems wrong.

Not even Mc bbq© status here...... beyond depressing cause its bbq. I just cant believe people post these good reviews.....If you want your picture up their and "attention" at least be honest. Dont screw people looking for moderately acceptable food or better into throwing away money and just feeling bad about their meal. The food seems wrong, like maybe its not even really animal, the sauce is colored thickener, the salad dressing is half water, the "burnt ends"are gelatinous, my steamed veggies was half under cooked carrot and half broccoli stem. My girl ate 1 rib and regrets it, I ate a rack and deeply regret it. Its bbq, its fn easy! If you went to a store and bought fresh food and cooked it without seasoning youd be better off even if you didnt know how. PROS: big Togo bag, smells decent, reasonable price, nice looking place, salad was not wilting because they obviously soak it in chemicals to keep it " fresh". I feel like it was secreted from a weird creature or made from recycled waste. I just dont trust the flavor and it made me feel weird. SIMPLY EMBARRASSING!!

This is the second time we decided to try this bbq restaurant in 3 years. First time we were not impressed. Our opinion has not changed. We were hoping it would be better but disappointed again. The food portions are fair size. The okra, fries, and fried pickles are drenched in grease to the point of being shriveled up. We are from the south and love fried food but this was extreme. The bbq beef brisket taste was okay. Not much flavor. The sprinkled colored seasoning is different. Not sure what it is for? To add color? It had no taste. The bbq sauce was very watery and had little taste other than one seemed to attempt to being spicy while the other tasted like a little buffalo style sauce. Not sure exactly? Just different. The price of the food was quite expensive compared to other competitive bbq places in town. 1 appetizer, 4 entrees cost $65. The potato salad taste like grocery store deli food. The rolls were warm and fluffy. That was the only thing I ate all of though.

1st the positives: quick service, decent wings but a little pricey. I am afraid its downhill from there. Plates were dirty, and not just a little - dried food in 3 different spots on one plate and 2 spots on the other, and the waitress had to be told they were dirty after bringing them. We ordered the baby back ribs. They were old and reheated, very dry and very salty with not much other flavor, almost like beef jerky. The sides were just as bad. The mashed potatoes and gravy were worse than KFC or boston market, just a super salty gravy from a powder mix w/o meat flavor. The potatoes tasted like instant, but not as good as the instant at KFC. other side, mac and cheese was ok, not baked but ok. Save your money, our local dive bar beats this place for half the price on wings/ribs.

I was visiting Las Vegas on a trip when my friend and I decided to check this place out on a recommendation from some local friends. We went for an early dinner and were seated very quickly. Both the host and the waitress were fantastically friendly. She got us started quickly and offered great recommendations. I had the brisket and my friend had the chicken. The meat was tender and delicious, however, was not my style of barbeque. My brisket was a little drier than I like, but again, still delicious. Their barbeque sauce was very good and the sides were all very flavorful. I was especially fond of their vinegar based coleslaw! We were satisfied when we left and the price was very reasonable for what we ordered and certainly cheaper than where I live for the same meal.

Although they stopped serving ham years ago due to price increase, this place is still a favorite. Lately weve been going to (abusing?) half-price appetizers (weekdays, 4-6, does not include any app with ribs). Dont cheap out on your tip--tip on the pre-discount total, and add some...or lots. I wont get burnt ends anywhere else! Also good: pork rinds, fried pickles and onions, devilled eggs, chicken fingers, nachos (eat fast or theyll get soggy), potato skins. Half price food haS NEVER been short on quantity or quality. Eating not on the cheap? Chili is pretty outstanding. If you get the Grand Champion platter, sub hot links for the chicken (unless you like slow smoked chicken--I find it a bit off-putting).
