Recently I was driving through West Plains and heard an advertisement on the radio stating something about the highest rated restaurant on Trip Advisor but didnt catch the name. Being hungry, well hangry, I logged on the Trip Advisor to see if I could find out whom they were talking about. Bootleggers wasnt actually in the number one spot but their location was only 2 minutes away so I figured Id give them a try. So headed that direction the first thing I see is old rusty vehicles and I immediately got excited as I whipped in. The decor was inviting, the staff was most helpful and professional in acquainting me with their menu. Once my order was taken, my beverage in hand, I walked around looking at the decor and Ill tell you, I can really get a feel for what the owners are bringing to this town. Within minutes of finding my seat my brisket, fries and slaw were brought to my table by a young lady with a beautiful smile. She asked if I needed a refill, or anything else, and returned out of sight. Maybe 10 or so minutes later another lady came to check on me, asked if I needed a refill or anything else. Its amusing when wait staff seem to always do this right after Ive stuffed a bite into my mouth. In her defense, with that scrumptious and perfectly seasoned brisket, there was probably no moment for her to hit the table and not find my mouth full. The house slaw was spot on as well, just the right crunch and creamy goodness. Moments later the owner visited my table, greeted me and asked how my meal was. By conversation I knew they were still growing and the overall BBQ experience was at the forefront of his concern. Brian and his staff made my early lunch a perfect dining pleasure, so much so, that I picked up another order to go for dinner. Bootleggers BBQ will definitely become a dinner stop as my route brings me through town weekly. Oh, that radio add. Still havent figured out who they were talking about buy, Im glad their advertising sent me to Bootleggers. RD

Mouthwatering, delicious, satisfying, and you would have to pay way more in a larger town. Dont let the cutlery fool you, it was easier than butter to slice. Best ribs I have had in a long time. Agood selection of sauces and I barely had to use them. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable, and they made it feel like home.

Ordered BBQ ribs, mac & cheese. My wife ordered the pulled pork, and we ordered brisket for our son. This was the real deal. Great traditional bbq. Of the brisket, my wife claims it is the best brisket she has ever had. Everything was great.

Amazing burnt ends, best I have ever had! The banana pudding to die for! People were so nice and helpful in their descriptions of the food. They really cared how we felt about the food. Burger was great also.

Make sure you dont have plans after eating here because youll be stuffed and ready for a nap! The owners were very personable and fun, the interior was BEAUTIFUL and the food was incredibly delicious!

Fantastic ribs, great flavor with lots of meat on them. Green beans were delicious too! Had a great experience here with a cozy atmosphere. Even let us take our dog in to there outside eating area.

I only had the brisket sandwich & fries. Overpriced for what you get. Sauces all to sweet. Ive had better BBQ. We left with our stomachs upset.
