"Michael, who says hes 90, is one of the greatest people Ive ever talked to. It takes awhile to understand his style of English, but it is well worth figuring out. The Mongolian Beef is incredible, Ive been getting it for 4+ years now. Empress Chicken is another good buy. Other people have rated it poorly because of "food quality". I have seen where and how often he orders as well as his raw materials, and I can assure you that they are fresh and VERY high quality cuts. Im assuming the reason people think that the food quality is low is because they are used to artificially loaded flavors from Hy-Vee and the like. tl;dr The place is great, the prices are incredibly cheap, and the owner is one hell of a guy.

Absolutely incredible value. I started going to Kirkwood Community College about 10 years ago, when I first discovered this place. As a college student, I needed cheap food that would fill me up. Not only did the vegetable fried rice do the job, it was delicious, and it was only $4. In 10 years, Ive never found a better deal on such great food ever since. I moved away from Cedar Rapids after graduating, unfortunately, so I havent been able to get my fix. But I just stopped by today, and the same friendly guys behind the counter, the foods the same price, and just as awesome all these years later.

Ive always loved going here! The egg rolls and crab Rangoon are absolutely delicious!! The man who owns this store is sweet and funny. Always love the service... To those of you with bad reviews of this place... the bathroom is NOT public and for a reason. You can thank the college kids for that one! He does not do delivery as hes the only one that works there and has ever worked there. He busts his ass alone to keep the food prices as low as they are...

I wish I could rate this with no stars the a**holes didnt answer till right before the last ring and I said "Id like to make an order for delivery" a man answered and hung up on my phone call also hung up on my husband a few minutes later ..... they dont know how to run a business and now we will NEVER EVER eat or order from there again Also heard right after we called from plenty of friends that they are very unsanitary and serve bugs in their food

I tried calling this place 15 times. A man answered the phone and I was in the middle of telling him I wanted to place an order for delivery when he hung up on me. I tried calling back another 5 times and no answer. I see this has happened to other people as well. Dont think Ill ever get anything from this place considering they obviously dont know how to properly answer the phone.

In town for the night and tried making a delivery order! Phone would constantly ring until finally some computer would answer and say some weird crap and then hang up! 4 times someone would pick up the phone and would immediately hang up! I drive a semi and stuck here for the night and its not exactly easy getting into places with it or I would drive there! So disappointed!

Excellent Chinese food at dirt cheap prices. $3.15 for a generous plate full of most entrees on the list and a scoop of white rice. Ive eaten there about a dozen times and food is always fresh and made to order. The vegetables have a crisp crunch and you can tell theyre fresh. This is one of the best deals in the CR area.

Waited 5 minutes before the 1 guy working here stopped cooking and came up and helped. Left food on counter. Paid with $20 and the guy put it in his pocket. Double charged me for my drink. Locked bathroom so you can not use it. Worst place to eat in Cedar Rapids!!

The braised beef noodle soup is amazing! The cook / owner / chief bottle washer is one spatula short of a kitchen set (a bit off his rocker), but his food is VERY good. Not a fancy place by any measure, but he doesnt seem to mind if you bring your own beer.

Best Chinese food hands down. The owner, Mr. Miyagi, is a black belt of the kitchen. This is a man who has dedicated over 20 years of his life to his craft, and it is reflected by the blast of flavor one gets after each bite of his cooking.

I love this restaurant! The food is amazing and the owner is super friendly. It is also open until 11pm...contrary to what Google says. Probably my favorite chinese restaurant in Cedar Rapids. Would definitely recommend going here
