If I could give 0 stars, I would. Never in my life, have I been treated less like a person than when I entered this restaurant last night. I went to this restaurant with my friend, it was a little bit after 9pm, most of the places, I wanted to go were closed, so we settled on Texas Roadhouse. Ive been to Texas Roadhouse only one time before that, and the service was abysmal, but I decided to give this place a chance. BIG mistake. Upon walking in, we were not greeted, we asked for a booth to sit in, and they tried to give us a table. When we again requested a booth, they pointed to a dirty booth and told us we could sit there, our greeter then wiped the trash off of the seat with a dirty rag and left the seat wet. She left without giving us any towels or anything to dry the seat off. Did not come back for several minutes - the seat was still wet; she finally came back and wiped the seat off after I had been standing awkwardly next to my seat. Our server took 7 minutes before coming over and asking us what to drink, she did not greet us, did not introduce herself, and actually sat down at our booth while taking our order. Our drinks did not come out in the right cups, our Cesar salads did not come out with croutons, the blossomed onion that we ordered was disgusting, and our server never came back to check on us for the 15 minutes we sat there waiting for our food. Our server walked by us 6 times to check on other customers, but did not even look at us or our table. After being in the restaurant for 30 minutes with minimal interaction with our server, I was ready to walk out. I asked for the bill, the manager came over to talk to us, did not apologize for the abysmal service, and gave me a bill of $20 for 2 drinks, 2 salads, and an inedible onion blossom. Needless to say, I will be boycotting the Texas Roadhouse franchise because of the clear inequality of service given to me compared my white counterparts that were present in the restaurant.

Love the food but today was my birthday and my daughter brought me here for my birthday. she had the chicken critters the breading was kind of dried out I had the 20 ounce ribeye steak medium well NOT rare it was only browned on the outside it was gross my daughter kept trying to flag down someone but ended up having to get up and take the steak to a waiter. Then when it came out when I first cut into it there was very little pink but figured they cant uncook it but as I was eating it it just got chewy and tough and as far as the free side it was French fries which I still had French fries but was not given a choice. The both across from us was really loud I dont mind noise but when you can not even have a conversation with the person across from you that is not decent I am sure the wait staff could hear them but no one asked them to quiet down so we had to listen to that and their cussing. People do take children their. The time before my daughters steak was way under done and it had to be sent back and she had ordered it well done. If we are going to pay 25 dollars for steak I might as well go by one and I can over cook it all by my self with out all the yelling and cussing. I know that medium well means a at least a strip of pink in the center not just a little brown on the out side. Deffinaftly will be looking into some place else to eat that is a lot of money for raw then over cooked steak that is tough and when my daughter sent her steak back she got a choice of side but yeah not a great birthday and she feels bad but it was not her fault. Also floor was really dirty and places that there was not carpet was slippery going out the door was a puddle of water or something.

Family of 3 was there yesterday. Seated in a section that was absolutely filthy. Gum stuck to the wall that was clearly visible empty butter containers on the floor, several tables had not been cleaned and prepped. We had to ask for plates and silverware several times, had to ask for our salads after waiting for 20 minutes. Entrees finally arrived I had to send mine back 3 times as it was incorrect, in the mean time my husband was served the incorrect entree as well and was given a second plate immediately when the server realized he delivered the wrong on. I asked for my meal to be taken off and the check, we are now over and hour of being here. Asked for to go boxes for the remains food that was left by my husband and son. That took an additional 3 times because he forgot and then only brought one. I did speak to the manager and she was amazing comped the entire meal. I have never had such poor service here. Hopefully next time will be better. We were there at 12:30 and it wasnt busy.

We have enjoyed previous visits but when we ate dinner there this past week it was horrendous. First off, my Mom, who is 93, ordered a Virgin bloody Mary aND the waitress said they "dont do that " so Mom didnt want one. Here she comes back with 3 regular ones. Next, we ordered steaks and steak tips (which were 20.00) and they were so well done (ordered medium rare) we couldnt cut into them with a knife. Finally the Manager came over and said he would compensate for the food. He took 10 off my brother in law s bill but didnt do anything for me. Blatant sexual discrimination. We will not go back.

Poor service. The waitress was rude and confronted us when she overheard us talking about not tipping. We had to ask for another server. Replacement server never bothered to find out the story, nor did a manager visit our table to make things right. Heard the hostesses talking loudly about us on the way out. Submitted something on Texas Roadhouse website and have not received a response. Rude wait staff and no attempt by management to keep the customers happy... clearly they are not that interested in keeping my business. Im going elsewhere next time Im in Cedar Rapids.

Had the salmon with veggies butter on the side my wife had the same, lucky before we started eating my wife had a hair in her tarter sauce which Im sure can happen so we had them cook a whole new platter, so Im waiting to eat until my wife gets her food and of course examining my food, what do I find a roach in my butter, thats right a roach, needles to say we didnt eat anything, service and management did a good job, walked away with a $30 gift card, was offered food to take home....we declined

The last several times we have been here the food was bad, the service was sub par and the place was so loud I may as well have had a chainsaw next to each ear. Every time I leave here I have a headache. Today they were clearly understaffed the staff is obviously exhausted, but the food was delicious and our waitress was awesome. I am still leaving with a migraine hence the low review and also the place is normally not this good.
