My husband and I went out 3/6/15 before 7 PM for what we thought would be a reasonably nice steak dinner. We had eaten there before and werent expecting such disappointment. We both ordered the 10 oz. ribeye @ $17.99 each to find out all we would get was steak, potato, Texas toast and dessert bar; no salad, no drink. OK, we accepted that. We were then told that they were out of baked potatoes (at 7 PM on a Friday night????). We had a choice of fries or onion rings to substitute; still no offer of a side salad unless we wanted to pay extra for the salad bar. The steak was cold and unchewable, the toast was untoasted bread and soaked (dripping) with margarine. There was nothing on the dessert bar but runny ice cream and stale cookies that tasted like fatty catfish. I will never patronize this establishment again. We paid almost $45 for horrible food. We left a nice tip because the wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. The next time we want steak, well go to the Village Steak House in Star City.

My husband and I, craving a steak, went to Western Sizzlin in Monticello. We both ordered an 8 oz NY strip cooked medium and baked potato and found our way to a booth. The booth seats were all cracked and need replacement. When our order came, we got a baked potato that wasnt quite done, a piece of Texas toast that was toasted on one side and a very well-done piece of steak that would have fit in the palm of my hand. We sent the steaks back, as we wanted medium cooked steaks. When our replacement steaks came back, we got an 8 oz NY strip steak that was, again, well done and a piece of Texas toast that was toasted on one side. A steak place that cant cook steaks, baked potatoes, or even toast a piece of bread! We didnt send the steaks back again or we may have been there all night. The reason Im giving two stars is because our waitress, between her corny jokes, did actually bring our plates.

Horrible! The place was filthy and flies were everywhere! The buffet (at dinnertime) was old and many of the trays were empty with leftover baked on food! Staff was basically walking around like zombies and yard to get their attention. This was certainly not like Western Sizzlins I went to in Oklahoma. Actually was so disgusted I left my food and walked out, you pay 1st the you get your food. Just wanted out of there so wasnt even going to attempt to get a refund!

Im a truck driver. Was just passing through and was hungry. There were very few people here and I soon found out why. Very poor quality food. Mostly imitation junk. The cheese was like rubber. Almost everything taste very poor quality. The ice cream was like it was made with water. Horrible, just horrible! I dont mind paying for good quality food, but when you pay a good price and get imitation junk it is pretty disappointing and disgusting.

This place does not deserve any star. The mash potatoes were cold! My fiance told them and they brought out more and well those were cold too. Manager even tested them and said they were cold. The food was gross. Waste of money. They didnt even say they were sorry for the inconvenience. Didnt care. Never again will we eat there!

The service was terrible....our waitress didnt check on us at all so there was no refill on our drinks. They made me and my family uncomfortable by following us as we got our food. It just overall a bad experience....would recommend this location to anybody for any reason...

Way overpriced seafood buffet. Everything fried, most of it overcooked and dry. Fried fish was decent. I am used to taking a clean plate for every trip to the buffet but to get one, you needed to ask for one. Questionable sanitation.

Well the food was good. The little lady was not too nice when we ordered my total was 31.13. I gave her the .13cents and she couldnt get it together with my debit and cash...The computer s mess up the kids on these registers. LoL

Food tasted like it was fresh out of a freezer that quit working years ago. Management seemed mad I told him how i was unhappy with the food. No variety ,no flavor, ranch wasnt real ranch,and just overall disgusting .

Yeah, not very good. Too expensive for a buffet that had old and cold food. And the only meat selection was dried up fried chicken. Cant say that I was very impressed. Only thing good about it was nice staff.

If you eat here on Friday and are allergic to seafood know ALL fried foods are fried in the same grease as seafood. So all you can eat is salad!
