130 mile round trip for a birthday dinner for my better half that was tantamount to a candidate for a reality TV show restaurant rescue. I had never eaten at an Olive Garden but the misses had and for 11 years I kept hearing from her about how wonderful it was, well I think a fast food fish sandwich would have been better. I had a fettuccini alfredo with grilled chicken that had a fantastic sauce flavor and the pasta was cooked to perfection, thus the 2 star rating. Now for the down side, the sauce was very dry and the chicken was overcooked on the outside causing it to have a splintery bark like texture to it. The birthday girl ordered spaghetti with meatballs in a red sauce, it came with two nice sized meatballs that had a consistency similar to that of a canned meat and a taste that would make "Chef Boyardee" a Five star Michelin chef. Moving on to the service, our server must have been dehydrated because he had that pastie milky thing going on his lips that was very noticeable when he spoke so maintaining an appetite was not easy, when it came time to order dessert which we decided to take home because the misses did manage to get full on salad and breadsticks and I on the same along with the pasta I had ordered, like I said, the sauce tasted great and the pasta was cooked to perfection, with that and because of the both of us being on disability I had used every bit of the money we had left for the month after paying our bills in order to take her to the place she spoke of so highly so I didnt have enough left for a dollar menu sandwich at a drive through. Anyway, back to the ordering of dessert, I had decided to order an item that came in three little glasses and asked they be put in something else (I was not buying the glasses after all) but our server said he didnt think he could do that so I selected another item and he decided to talk me out of that item, I insisted at that point even though I knew the scoop of ice cream on top of that dish would be melted after the 65 mile trip back home, funny thing is, even though it was melted it was the best part of that meal other than the company I was with, she was great and handled the entire night with poise and grace. Note: We also brought home the spaghetti with meatballs because we wanted to show our friends how bad it was and considering I had cut the meatballs in 4 pieces each for the misses, she ate 2 and I 1 so there was plenty left for providing taste samples. Although we were not very greatfull I still left a gratuity because I just dont feel right not doing so.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I originally had got a gift card from my Aunt for Christmas because I work close to the restaurant. I ordered my to-go order online so I just go pick it up on my lunch break. When I got there the order wasnt even put through yet. And yes I should have checked before I left but I was already cutting it close considering they hadnt even started the order. I get it back to work and the whole entire thing is wrong and terrible. I call back to see if I can bring it all back when I got off at five and was rudely told no. I eventually talked to the general manager who proceeded to give me another gift card so I would come back and give it a chance. What a TERRIBLE idea. I placed my order online and went to pick it up. I got there a little early which I was okay to wait, not a big deal at all. During my fifteen minute wait, four people had requested the manager due to poor service and food. As they are bringing out my order to go, whoever bagged it had bagged everything sideways and the entire thing almost fell out of the container. Instead of the waitress helping me, she stood there and laughed. This is with the manager being within a three foot radius. I finally get back to work and the bread sticks you absolutely cannot eat unless you want to break a tooth. Once again it has been a terrible experience. I decided not to call this time because it is obvious the manager has no clue how to handle or run a company and how to train his employees.Im hoping the actual owner may see this and decide to make some serious changes to this place. I will never return to this restaurant, which is sad cause i have such good memories with my grandmother at this place. Whoever is in charge, is running Olive Garden of Springfield into the ground.

My husband and I went to Olive Garden last night. We were not impressed at all, and we have eat at many different Olive Gardens in the past, and its one of our favorite places to go. What they told us was only a 25 min wait turned into a 40 min wait, while we watch two groups of people walk in and walk right up and sit down at the tables near the bar. We were never asked if we would want to sit there. Once we were seated it took a while before our waiter showed up to take our drink order, a budlight and a water. We did not see our drinks for at least 10 mins. When he came with our drinks we quickly placed our order, hoping that we could speed up the process. We did the 2 for 25. He never asked if we wanted soup or salad, so finally I told him as he was leaving our table that we would like salad and bread stickes. When the appetizer came, the fried mozzarella, the cheese inside was cool like it had been sitting in the window for a while. We have ordered this before and every time its so hot we have to wait a min or two for it to cool down. We had also asked for another salad, when he brought it he never offered to put cheese on it, he just dropped it off and ran. When our dinner finally came it was ok, nothing to brag about. The waiter never came by to ask if our food was ok. I dont know if we will be back to this olive garden after this or not.

I ate at this location with my parents on Thursday, 22 June 2017. We arrived sometime around 11:45 AM. The food was good (consistent with what I expect from the Olive Garden brand), and the friendly, professional service was appreciated. Our server was attentive---unlike I was, because I forgot to note anyones name. She had shorter blond hair and purple glasses frames. She was friendly and professional, and took the time to explain things in a friendly and respectful manner (what came with each order, why the breadsticks were taking a while [we didnt ask, she volunteered], and that we actually had included a tip when we were paying the bill using that Ziosk device. I ordered a create-your-own pasta plate from the lunch menu, and had quite a bit left over after salad and breadsticks (included with my dads order). My dad noted that it would be at least a few hours before we returned home, and we didnt have a cooler or ice. On our way out the door, I explained my situation to the bartender, a nice gentleman with blond hair, and asked if I might possibly receive some ice in a bag. He generously procured a bag of ice for me suitable for travel. There was still ice in the bag when we returned home later than expected. My mom and I split the leftovers for dinner, effectively getting 2.5 meals out of the single lunch order and breadsticks.
