Wonderful place! Very friendly people greeted us as we walked in, and the lady was exceedingly patient with my 6yo as she struggled to order her own "pitta" sandwich. The lady was so kind and encouraging, telling her, "Go ahead. We will make your sandwich! [Together.]" My daughter felt happy and proud she was able to do this, and I was relieved to have a person who clearly loves little kids helping to bolster her confidence. As a bonus, she loved the chicken pita! (And she is very, very picky, more times than not finding she cant eat food shes ordered.) And my gyro meat (the #5) was soft, moist, flavorful, and delicious. Fresh crispy veggies, and a soft yummy pita bread. 10 of 10! I love this place! Also has a beautiful patio, with so many petunias, in planters and elsewhere--theyre literally growing out of the asphalt in the parking lot. Awesome!

Im fortunate enough to work near the deli, and wouldnt have known about it if I didnt. I eat there every week now despite multiple other fast food options near by . The food is homemade and delicious; great subtle flavors, great quality products, lots of good choices - now if I could get myself to stop ordering the beef gyro (every time I go, I plan to try something else but when I get there I start thinking about it and my mouth starts watering...). If you are near the U campus or the Quarry shopping center (Home Depot/Rainbow/Target) in "Northeast", do yourself a favor; skip the McDs or Burger King - get the beef gyro (with extra sauce) you wont be sorry!

The food here is to die for! Their gyros far surpass Pappys (and dont even get me started on Dinos) and their specialty sandwiches are just delicious. The staff are all courteous and friendly, the owner is almost always there and talking to customers, and the place is bright and comfortable. All of my friends love the place and my boyfriend and I are fast becoming regulars. The best part of all, though, is the cost. No more expensive than Subway, with food that is easy ten times more delicious. If you are considering eating somewhere outside of your living facility, eat here. No questions. You will not regret it. Ever.

I love this place. Ive been going here for about 2 solid years and I have yet to receive anything less than outstanding food. Hands down the best dish is the Friday Tilapia special, with roasted almonds, carmelized onions, red peppers over a bed of rice topped with tahini sauce. It is honestly to DIE FOR. All of this comes at a very reasonable price in a family owned, cozy establishment. The owners are amazing people, please support local businesses and cuisine!

9$ for a gyro plate. Medium portion of meat on a bed of shredded lettuce. Tomato and onion, plus your choice of cucumber sauce or tahini sauce. And then two sides. I got the chicken, really tasty. M got the beef-lamb, and he said it tasted just like a normal lamb gyro. We had a coupon for 1/2 off a special plate with a purchase of a special plate, which made each one roughly 6-7$, and I thought that was a pretty good deal.

My dad has been going to this place, since it was in "Joes Deli" on Como. He got me to start coming here about 3 years ago, and now, I just cant stop. The food is FABULOUS! I would recommend the Gyros, the Daily Specials, and just about EVERYTHING in the (sides) display. So many wonderful things that i had never tried before, and now, cant imagine without. Great people too!

As good a falafel sandwich as one could hope for, and great breakfast menu as well which was surprising to me (though Im not sure why). Mediterranean food is quite easy to find around Minneapolis, especially the dinkytown / NE areas, so obviously a lot of it is fairly similar, but Zakias distinguishes itself from the rest with its fresh pita and moist falafels. Ill be back.

Used to be fabulous, might still be, but they just cant handle being busy. The "new" people behind the counter dont seem to know how to make anything on the menu. The line stacked up so bad due to VERY slow checkout that I couldnt see the food and my order was both completely WRONG and the food was bad. Its a shame, this used to be a good place.

I really love this restaurant. Great authentic food and very fresh. Quick service. Some indoor and outdoor seating,it is pretty cramped inside but outside is ok. The ambiance isnt that great... I usually do take out. I first visited about a month ago and today was my 7th time back. It is my new favorite place for take out lunch!!!

Given all of the rave reviews I was expecting the food to taste a lot better. Best word I can come up with to describe what I had (Felafel plate) is "meh". An adequate amount of food for an average amount of $... Also, I would rather not be inundated with crappy pop music while eating "Mediterranean" food, but hey, thats me.

had the Monday special, which is the chicken & almond rice. tried the cucumber sauce which was a good surprise of flavor. a wide array of sides to choose from. I had the Lebanese salad and vegetarian grape leaves (unsure of the name, I just chose something) as my side choices. Ill definitely be visiting again.

After reading all the good reviews I decided I had to try it out for lunch. All the food looked great; I had a lot of trouble picking out my 2 side dishes because they all looked so good. The staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. Im looking forward to trying something new when I go back!

Great food, live the authenticity in Lebanese food. Only reason I put 4 stars is that sometimes portions are not consistent. Last time I ordered dinner plate and I got half what my money is worth (in my opinion) but my wife got the right portion. But again the food is great and friendly people.

I have been to this place probably 40 times, easy. Great Lebanese/Greekish food and the owner is super nice. I really like their red pepper hummus, majadra, (gyros are good but I ate too many), etc. Mondays they have an omelet that is amazing. For sure a good place to go.

The best Lebanese and Eastern Mediterranean food in the area. Ive gone a few times with coworkers and honestly, trying to think about recommendations, I am literally coming up with half of the menu. Choose anything and I promise it will be good.

Fantastic whole food & preparation that allows the flavor to be the fullest possible. Vegetarian & gluten free options, sides to order by half pound, & more than reasonable prices for such tasty food! My favorite for many neighborhoods.

Honestly, three stars probably isnt fair. The food is pretty good, but the staff always seems confused about whats going on. My opinions are definitely colored by the fact that I always go with my mother-in-law who I dont get along with.

Friendly staff, really good philly. I tried the quinoa salad to just to be adventurous, but its not my game. The philly is a little pricey on its own (doesnt come with a side), but it was a good stop. Id go back and try more.

Decent fare - gyros, hummus, etc. - not too much special about most of it but nothing bad to say either. The surprise standout dish for me is the eggplant salad - probably the most delicious flavor of anything there.
