I decided to treat the family to some donuts this morning. Since the prices for donuts are climbing at the gas stations and supermarkets, I decided to drive the extra few miles and give Harter Bakery a try for the first time. The price is right. Unfortunately, the compliments end there. I ordered an assorted dozen. I have to say I was very disappointed. I expected better tasting donuts from a bakery. I cut donuts in half, so the kids wont waste em, plus you get to try more this way ;) They were all bad. The cake donut was bad. The white icing tasted weird. My jelly donut had a strange aftertaste. My kids were even saying they werent good. The chocolate long john was o.k., but I have had MANY that taste better. My review is simply for donuts. I havent tried any other Harter Bakery goods. It was a disappointment to have good-looking donuts from a bakery, that tasted so bad. Did I mention that they tasted bad? :) Not average....bad.

We got our wedding cake through Harter. The cake turned out beautifully, and exactly what I wanted. They were pretty patient with me, I struggled with making up my mind. But it couldnt have turned out more perfectly. The only drawback was that anyone other than the person who dealt with the wedding cakes, sucked. They were rude and unhelpful every time. I always felt like I was a pain and they just wanted me to leave. Thankfully the woman who does the cake was very nice and patient and never made me feel like I was bothering her. Which really bothered me about the other workers - wedding cakes are far from cheap and I felt like my business wasnt valued by them, rather it was an annoyance to them.

We oredered a cake from HARTER BAKERY and we picked it up the colors were wrong. We asked the lady if the ticket had the specific colors on it and it did. The lady behind the counter said sorry but the baker has already gone home for the day and they could not fix it. When we expressed our displeasure and asked for the owners name the lady got very upset and said they do not like rude customers. We still paid for the cake because we needed it for our daughters birthday. DO NOT PATRONIZE HARTER BAKERY!

We ordered a birthday cake from Harter. It looked nice, but we thought it was dry. After taking it back to explain, they took the cake and cut it up and said that it wasnt dry. They tried to keep the cake and only gave a $10 refund for a $30 cake. Had to ask for the cake back and over half of it was mutilated and they had their hands in it! This seems like terrible customer service to me. Were never going back again. What a waste of money.

Made an appointment at the last minute for my wedding cake when other plans fell through. Met with a consultant less than a week before my wedding, and let them know that we were on a very tight budget. They talked us through different options for pricing and flovor. I am convinced we got the best looking and tasting cake for the money, not to mention great service. I would highly recommend them for any event

Ordered a "Christmas" cake and it looks like a birthday cake! The red frosting on the roses (which doesnt look like Christmas) are an orangish/red and doesnt go with any Christmas decorations. Total clash of color! The writing was all wrong too! Total waste of effort on my part to have a special cake made for the party! Prayers it tastes alright. At this point Id have to say question EVERYTHING your order!!!!

Used them for my wedding day. They made 100 cupcakes and my 7inch cake. We did a taste testing and loved it. Even got compliments from guest at wedding wondering where I went. They even delivered them to my reception an hour before everyone arrived which I was very thankfully for. They even decorate it for you if you bring in the items you want on the cake. And also Great prices. Definatly recommend!

We LOVE Harters bakery. I grew up going to this bakery and now every chance we get back to Arnold, we go in. Their donuts, pastries, cookies and cakes are all good but my favorite and now my familys favorite is the Chocolate Chew Cake/cupcake. Sometimes we drive into Arnold just because we have been craving those decadent chocolate chews.

I have used Harters for more events than I can count.....I have NEVER been disappointed! Love their products and I have never been treated poorly! Even on last minute orders they have come through for me!!! We saved our top tier of our wedding cake and I was positive it would be horrible, tasted the same as on our wedding night!!!

The cake was great. However, I paid for an extra tier and one of the younger women working there did not take note of it. They offered to give me the money back or to have a store credit. I took the store credit because the cake was totally awesome and everyone enjoyed it. Just make sure if you change something you get it in writing!
