Small town gem Wife and I stopped in after a hike at whitetail woods park. Was talked into the soup (veg beef) it was great. You could see pieces of real potato with skin, obviously home made and was delicious. After that we shared the fish sandwich as we had heard this place was known for its fish fry. You could tell they meant business as it came with a whole squeeze bottle of tartar sauce. They fish was awesome. Next we shared the prime rib. Though I ordered a queen cut, it was definitely well over 20 ounces, and incredible. The waitress asked if I wanted horseradish with it, so I said I liked horsey-cream. Well even though they didnt carry horsey-cream she brought some sour cream and horseradish to the kitchen and had them mix it up for me. Excellent food and service, far more then I expected on a Saturday night.

Riding bikes on a warm Sunday afternoon out in the country we happened upon the Stein Haus. Greeted by very friendly staff who even offered to let us bring our bikes inside, we had a fantastic dinner. I had a prime rib sandwich complete with a cup of au jus and my partner had a Baja Chicken Salad. Both were more than we could eat and were fantastic. They had a nice selection of beers and a pleasant sports bar atmosphere. All in all, a great place to stop out in the country southwest of Hastings in the town of Vermillion.

I may be a bit biased because this is one of the first places I remember from my childhood, but their food is amazing! Super friendly staff, and they even have popcorn while you wait for your food! Theres a quieter dining section and a more active bar-like section that you can choose from. Cant recommend enough.

A fun place with good beer and popcorn too. The bartender was friendly. The bathrooms are updated and clean. Beer prices and selection were good. We will make the slight detour off highway 52 and stop there again when traveling through the area.

The bartender was very attentive taking care of us. Its a small cozy restaurant and bar. They have a nice menu offering Prime Rib on Saturdays, not sure about the rest of the week. Full bar and nice beer selections.

Amazing burger with fried egg. Chicken nachos were bountiful and rich and loveable. The cheese curds dance in magnificent unison down your throat, glistening your throat in graceful bliss. Give em ur business.

Awesome place to have in town! Bartenders and staff are friendly. Fish fry is great, but chicken drummies are my old standby favorite! Definately a great place to stop.

Great local pub with comfort food and warm staff. Meat raffle to support the local school was running the last time we were there and it was awesome.
