On our way out of town from Minneapolis, we had a hankering for some Dim Sum. Yelp to the rescue for recommending this gem on the way down South! To start, they open at 10 AM on weekend days, which gives all interested an additional hour of dim sum delight! The digs here are nothing super impressive, but did have that "ah, this may have been a pizza place at some point" allure. The large goldfish in the tank up entering are lovely and gave our little dude something to check on periodically through the meal. Now to the food. The tea was legit, free range loose leaf, crap in the bottom of your cup tea. Our waiter made sure that was okay and, of course, it was. Since we showed up at the equivalent of a 4 pm grandparents special, we were greeted with sweets to begin. The egg tarts and custard rolls were amazingly good. Just a little warmth on the custard roll was perfect. Next, we were greeted with a host of favorites. Shrimp balls with crunchy wonton strips on the outside. These were boss! Great stuff to munch on before you get to the good stuff. Id never seen these previously, but theyre something Ill order again. The Char Siu Bao was solid, though a bit on the drier side from a bread perspective, though it was made up for by the baked version which was perfectly done! The shumai was lovely as well and came in a group of 4. The best part of the meal however was a the congee - this was as good as I remember having in Shanghai. Perfect amount of flavor, a good amount of pork and egg and served at a perfect temperature - nothing worse than leaving most of your mouth skin with the first bite! All in all, this was a great find. The variety was excellent and the only thing keeping it from a 5 was the lack of soup dumplings. The service, food and availability were excellent as was the price! We got out for ~$30 with tip and fed three of us as much as we wanted. Worth checking out if your going up to Minneapolis, leaving town to go south or just looking for a solid Dim Sum spot that opens a little earlier than youre used to!

Came here to try their dimsum. Arrived before 10:30 on Saturday and we were the only ones in the entire place (by the time we left at 11:30 there were only three other tables). Grateful that the tables were generously spaced since we had a baby in a stroller. And they have a private parking lot which is great. We ordered quite a few things. My favorite was the "salty dumpling" (咸水餃), which had a generous amount of filling. The egg tarts, congee, and shrimp in tofu were good as well. I didnt like their deep fried shrimp with wonton strips (too oily), pan fried pork buns (bun was weirdly sweet), hargow (tough??), or changfeng. Sesame balls and lotus wrapped sweet rice were okay. *shrug* To me, my dimsum staples werent good enough that I would drive all the way out here if I didnt have a baby in tow. I prefer the dimsum at either Mandarin Kitchen or Yangtze Restaurant, which are equally spaced from where I live.

Ive been looking for a dim sum place lately and a few Cantonese restaraunts in the Twin Cities stopped serving it. This was my first dine in dim sim experience (ordering from the cart) ever. My dim sum was warm, delicious, and hit the heart like comfort food should. If you live in St.Paul or Woodbury + dont want to drive out to Minneapolis ( that was me), give this place a try. Friendly service too. Will be back. P.s. their tea is refreshinggg because there were actual tea leaves floating in the tea pot. It doesnt taste like cheap tea. It has a slight sweetness. It helps to wash down the saltiness and oiliness from the dim sum, making more room for dim sum

If you are looking for a QUIET place to stop and have a quick meal, look no further! Yes, the Buffet is pretty standard, the food is "ok" and the price is standard for the most part. I have personally been bother by the mega buffets and their annoying MASSES of people. It seems like the food is better in a way, but for all the noise that gets brought in from "that one lady" with her 25+ kids from the streets it never seems to blend in well with these places. So, bottom line...if you are looking for the most food you can eat for a reasonable price while dinning out or taking lunch out while been clocked in at work, this is the place to go.

My wife and I went there to enjoy a nice buffet, only to find out that they do not have one anymore. You can still order the, all you can eat, off the menu and instead of going up to get your food they will bring you the different things that you request. I think this is better then a buffet because all of the food is fresh and hot. They also have a family meal that you can order that includes 4 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 2 bowls of white rice for a good price. The food there is by far the best Chinese that I have ever had. A big step up from when they were a buffet.

This was the WORST experience ever... My husband and I desided to stop here for lunch today and not only was there NO food in the buffet. My husband and I didnt want to be rude so we found what we could to eat.. Not only did my husband find hair in his chicken I also had hair in my broccoli. After complaining and telling them we wanted our money back. The Owner/cook came out from the back with out her hair net on with JET back hair.. funny it was the same hair as was found in our food.. I decided to try Walnut chicken as I have never seen this before. I ordered the lunch special for $6.xx for takeout. I figured I would not be full after a $6 meal. Boy was I wrong. Great food and lots of it. The pieces of walnut in the chicken were like candy. The egg rolls are some of the best I have ever had. Fried rice is run of the mill, but that is not what you go here for. Thanks again A&L for the great lunch.

My family and I had been looking for a good decently priced Dim sum in the twin cities, and this place was wonderful. The selection was exactly what i was looking for and the waiter was very nice. I would definitely recommend this place. We were a group of 5 and we only paid about $20 each which is really good for MN considering we usually end up paying $30+ for other places, plus we ordered more than enough food.

Ordered General Tsoe chicken to go and It was soggy. My husband refused to eat it. Also ordered Kung Poe Chicken and was disappointed. They did not put any peanuts in the meal. Really, isnt that one of the main ingredients of the meal?#$!F@c......... I wont go back.
