We came in somewhat indecisive on whether to stay or take-out, and staff were very patient and polite as we decided. We settled on a booth near the window overlooking the intersection of Dale and University, a unique and interesting view for a meal. The food was good and prices were reasonable. The Elote was okay, but not the best weve had (sorry Los Ocampo - Homi has you beat there :) ) The margarita my wife ordered was enjoyable, and happy hour prices helped. One item that really helped contribute to a positive experience was the friendliness of our waitress (I really wish I remembered her name...) She was very enjoyable to talk to and we really appreciated her taking a few minutes to converse with us and make sure we were having a good time.

I would not give this restaurant even 1 star, I came and dine in, and I was sat down but for 5 minutes straight, no one came to my service or offered me water until a woman in blonde came and took my order, she brought out my salad to me but i had no forks or spoons to eat my salad with, so I waited like 3 mins just looking at my salad to see how I am going to eat it, finally she brought me a fork, my other food came out and i finished my food, but my water was not refilled, and my check took forever to get to me, i had to walk up to the entrance to ask one of the servers but it seems like none of the servers knew what they were doing...i paid for my food and left without a tip. I WILL NEVER RETURN BACK!

I literally just walked out. I sat there forever no one came and took my order several people came in after me were brought drinks etc. I get up to ask them how long Ive been in here I here 2 employees a young lady and I guy arguing over serving 2 other women. I guess I didnt look like a tipper lol wow!! SO I started expressing how thats what you were doing with me, trying to see who would take me. He looks very guilt tried to argued the admitted they were wrong. I would never step door in this establishment again. I should have followed my first mind and went to my usual location in lake street.

We came in and were told we could sit where we wanted to. We had to ask for the table and seats to be wiped off, we had to go ask for menus, after our food came, we had to go ask for silverware. If you have questions about menu items, it seemed like the couldnt barely understand what we were asking...simply, "how much/large is the burrito bowl and how large is the burrito". The burrito says Champion making you think it is large for 12.99 but Chipotle burrito ran circles around their!!! My friend was not happy with his meal.

Ive only lived in Minneapolis for a year, but my mission has been to find an amazing Mexican restaurant since I am obsessed with Mexican food. Ive tried about 10 places before this, and Id have to say hands down this is the best Ive had. The food tasted really good, extensive meat options, excellent vegetarian options, and good prices! If you love Mexican food you will not be disappointed!

Pretty nice place here actually. Architecturally pleasing. good food with a flavor you cant find here in Mn. However there were a few issues.. bones in my quesadillas is never too exciting to find. Told the waiter about biting though some chicken bones and he said that happens quite a bit. Well in my opinion, thats disgusting. sorry. other than that though its a pretty nice place.

Nice atmosphere, staff was nice. I ordered tamales to go. I hated them. Cheese does not go on tamales, they were not in the corn husk and the green salsa was way to salty. They did not taste like tamales. I also had flan. It was terrible and tasted old. I have had flan in Spain, Morocco and other places here in the U.S. And this is by far the worse. I would not go back.

This was my first time. Their service was slow but the food was pretty good. I had Menudo and it was still good, but I have had better at a competitors. I do like the idea of them serving alcoholic beverages (something the competitor does not do). I think I would have given it a 5 star if their Menudo had more flavor, but this does not discourage me from going again.

So maybe you dont need a full pitcher of Horchata if theres just 2 of you but man it is tasty. Good Food, I like it better than some of the mom & pop shops. Very polished atmosphere compared to the hole in the wall competition. I liked it. A great place to go if you want to have a beer and burritos while watching a soccer game with other people that like soccer.

The food was not horrible, everything else was horrible. Our server couldnt speak english, it was disgusting in the restaurant and our food took FOREVER. Not to mention I asked for cheese for my fajitas 3 different times for our server to bring me out a hot bowl of queso and charge me 4.50 for it. Needless to say I dont think I will be back!

The worst Mexican meal Ive had. The chicken enchiladas had few shreds of chicken and were full of onions. I didnt order an onion enchilada. The chicken that was there tasted rancid. The server never checked on us, never filled beverages, and didnt inquire about the meal. Run from this place.

I used to be a trainer for Apple and its refreshing to see a staff as dedicated as one of the top companies in the world. I cant express how impressed ive been with the staff and especially the management. Every time i go here Im am surprised. Yall are awesome! Cheers! Brandon

I had been looking for a place that offers Horchata for some time and I happened to find this place. It does not disappoint. Great food as well as the Horchata. Update 12-4-16: Ive been back a few times since my initial review and everything is still great at this spot.

Overall its a really good restaurant, good service and pretty good food. I tried the huarochazo, a fried Masa cake with spicy refried beans and spicy chicken. Although it wasnt the spiciest in the world, it was still really good, and the price was decent as well.

Friendly atmosphere servers are polite and friendly. Havent tried all the food on the menu but what I have tasted is good. They do Serve American breakfast. I eat there every Sunday from day one. Im served with coffee and they know Im waiting for the group

Great lunch options. Their lunch special is tasty, well portioned, and reasonably priced. They have free parking in the lot off of Sherburne. Only thing to watch out for is the food takes a little time to come out. Expect a 30-40 minute lunch.

Good atmosphere, clean and friendly staff. Service was a little on the slower side. We ordered a Los Ocampo burrito and tacos. The burrito was mediocre at best. Tacos were pretty good but a little on the pricy side at $2.75 each.
