Food is amazing and service is great as well... if you think that the food is not authentic, no one said it had to be authentic or there is no huge sign saying " WE HAVE REAL AUTHENTIC FOOD" so as long if the food is good, why does it matter? You still go to chipotle or Taco Bell but thats not authentic. And if you are feeling that the service is bad and you have to wait forever to get your order taken, you need to know that many employees there can only speak a little English so they can only give you a menu and chips, or give you your food or drinks... but when they do take your order it wont be like its so much better for you cause if you are so impatient you cant wait for a few minutes to get your order taken, you are not going to like to wait for your server trying to understand your order and you might as well wait for someone who can understand English. Ok now Im done preaching, and you can take my advice saying that the food and service is great

First of all, the website is deceiving if youre trying to check out what the place looks like. Its in a strip mall. Not usually a problem, but when my friends and I arrived, the only outdoor table was taken by extremely rowdy, smoking guests. Get inside - very small place. Flies everywhere, tables werent clean, and the wait staff looked extremely bored and inattentive. My friends and I ordered the chimichangas. Right away, I was really disappointed. Besides the plate being scalding hot (they clearly reheated it), the Mexican rice was super dried out and flavorless, and the lettuce was soggy and completely inedible. Plus, the chimis just werent something to write home about. After hearing SO MANY good reviews about this place, I was excited to try it out. Sadly, all of us left pretty disappointed.

Ive been here a few times now for lunch with co-workers. Ive always ate something from their lunch menu so cannot say much about the rest of it. The portion size for their lunch menu items is just perfect.... I can still go back to work and do some work instead of being in a food coma. Their service is good and quick. When we started going there it never used to be busy but these days its starting to get pretty busy, but their service is still good and fast. For being a mexican restaurant in a strip mall in a suburb, I wasnt expecting much from it taste-wise but I was pleasantly surprised. The food is not tex-mex, its authentic mexican and they will adjust the spice level for you. Their default spice level is pretty low. I would definitely suggest trying this place at least once.

Last Friday July 28th I was there and waited standing there, the waitres just turn around and didnt even greet me. Some other waiter came from the patio and just passed by so I felt stupid so I just took a menu card and started flipping through the pages to see what they offered and another waiter came and drop some menu cards on top of the menu card I had, I felt very upset and left. I dont know how this people work but I have work customer service for like 2 years and I like to greet and meet people. I feel like they dont have the experience Tht this business needs. In order to create a great Clientele you need to treat people great, be enthusiastic and friendly but they lack off toooo many things, in conclusion I will never EVER recommend or go back to this place.

Regarding the NEW "El Parian" RESTAURANT IN LONG LAKE MN on my visit dated 01-31-13: Oh my gosh, talk about CLEAN & BRIGHT surroundings, all NEW decor, super-fresh tasting food, great icy Margaritas, cold beer, welcoming bar area, and excellent service; and Ill be going there once a week for sure. Unfortunately blows away the only local Mexican offering we have here in Mound, there is just no comparison to excellent presentation and taste of food. Take an example from this restaurant. The huge menu takes awhile to peruse, but once I found what I was looking for, it was perfectly cooked and very satisfying. I want to go back tonight.

The owner of this restaurant has become a dear friend of our family because we are such regulars. He is so dedicated to having the best restaurant possible. The food is a no-brainer - you cant order a bad item on the menu. The chips and salsa, and the guacamole are the best in town (and its awfully hard to compete with El Loro in that department), and the prices are unbelievable low. Head in for a delicious margarita - the blended peach margarita is spectacular! There are always good deals on beers as well. You will go back once you go one time!

Tucked away among the myriad of Cliff Lake Centre shops, El Parian is an unassuming treasure waiting to be discovered. In search for some tasty Mexican food, we stopped by and were glad we did. Everything from the chips and salsa to the large, inexpensive selection of entrees satisfies the taste buds. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is quick. The owner is especially pleasant and even followed us into the parking lot on one occasion to make sure we didnt leave without our forgotten leftovers. We cant wait to get back.

The food was absolutely amazing, I really have never had Mexican that was so perfect-and Im a Mexican food fanatic!. The chips and salsa w white sauce, unbelievable.. the Texas Fajitas had the best flavor, smoking hot, perfection and to die for!! The kids devoured their dishes as well. The prices were crazy low and the only complaint is not having one in our city! Thought about staying one more night in Eagan just to have it again! The staff were personable and attentive and very nice too! Loved it!

We have been regulars for almost 4 years. We LOVE this place. After eating here for the first time we have never gone back to El Loro. The food is awesome and cheap. The service is quick and the servers are friendly. If I had one suggestion, it would be to make it bigger. The first couple years it was our hidden treasure but now lots of people know of this place and it tends to fill up quick. Good thing is the service is quick so the tables turn quickly.

I have to admit, I was not that excited to eat here at first - its a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant in a strip mall. But, their fajitas are the best Ive ever had! Ive tried the chicken, steak & shrimp, and all of them are just fantastic. I dont know what they use for seasoning, but it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The white & red salsas are wonderful, and the portions are HUGE. You wont go away hungry. Great place in Eagan. Love it.

I would have to say its pretty outstanding food and the margaritas are very very good. Food may not be 100% authentic but judged against what else in MN? I mean really, if your expectations are fair, the atmosphere is a very small operation (quaint), food has never let us down, and make sure to get one of their medium margaritas with grand marnier and Herradura silver. Itll blow your hair back.
