Food edible but extremely bland, and only have the salsa they give for the chips (thats the hot sauce) Carded everyone so my son in law couldnt have a beer (this I understand but was frustrating none the less) Place was empty but we couldnt pull up a chair to our booth (we had an infant with) fire code?? Not a single sole in there but us. Atmosphere is terrible, not even any Mexican background music. We ended up taking our food home to try to spice it up a bit, at least add some sort of flavor. We will never go back!

My wife and I discovered this hidden place (on Rice Street near University) about 10 years ago and we keep coming back as weve found this to be the absolute best, most authentic Mexican food in the twin cities. We keep trying others but none compares to El Bravo. The neighborhood isnt the best but not bad. The seating has the small family restaurant feel to it with worn booths but doesnt bother us because the food is phenomenal..

Good food but I asked for my beans on a seperate plate than my enchiladas and couldnt get it that way unless I ordered a side not when its in a meal. Dont know why alot little things like that. Good chips n salsa but u get a little amount to start when u ask for more u get charged. And the main waitess dosent smile much at all!

I have been coming to El Bravo for years, always ordering the same dish, its safe (mediocre) and I know what to expect. The chips and salsa are always great, which unfortunately does not make up for the service. I leave full but often frustrated that my requests are ignored or forgotteon. Very sad I cant give a better review

Horrible service!! Employees were crabby and bitchy. The place itself is filthy dirty, I should of walked out as soon as I walked in. The food was awful, too much salt and way too much garlic! Yuk.....Never again & I will for sure tell everyone I know to stay away....

I love El Bravo. The food is amazingly delicious and tasty. I love the chicken tacos, enchiladas and salsa; I could literally drink the salsa. The service is super nice, especially Denise. Love, love, love El Bravo!!!!!!!!

Service was great. Like others said could be slow, but friendly nonetheless. Menu items are a little limited but its good food. A little scary outside but worth the trip inside. Check it out. Good local spot.

El Bravo would have to be one of my favorite restaurants in the universe. Its an authentic restaurant with great friendly service and the prices arent too bad, even in the bad economy. Best tacos ever!

Its been slow there with nearby light rail construction, so the night I went it wasnt busy at all (early dinner on a Saturday). The food I got was hot and tasty. Seemed very authentic and homey.
