Ive only been to like 4 different restaurants at this exact address. Needless to say, the future is rarely bright for occupants of this part of the building at 16605 County Road 24. Decided to check this place out on a Friday night with some friends. It was pretty hoppin, I gotta say. For a city that seems to have an unspoken rule about going lights out at 7pm, this was surprising. So we had to wait, they said 20 minutes. Free appetizers at the door, but probably wont be a thing forever. Wait was a bit uncomfortable due to there only being like 2 tiny couches. Anyway to the important part: Service was fast, attentive, knowledgeable, and answering questions I didnt even ask yet. All good signs. Menu has some really great looking stuff on it, maybe a little highbrow compared to my normal chipotle or subway or microwaveable dinner, but Im splurging so what the heck. My Order: Appetizer: The Badger. 5*, awesome appetizer. Really good mix of cheeses and flavors. Entree: Bourbon BBQ. 4*, was really good, felt like it could use a little more of a kick though Dessert: State Fair Cheesecake: 4*, basically a fancy toaster strudel/mini donut with filling. Good. Yeah, not 5* across the board, but overall I have to say I was thoroughly impressed seeing as how sometimes it seems like the bulk of the restaurants in Plymouth are below-par and hardly competing with Arbys in terms of menu/food quality.

My husband and I went to lunch at Rock Elm Tavern for the first time. We were a little skeptical since all the restaurants that go that location end up going out of business, but we figured wed give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised from the first step in the door. The interior design and decorating is very pleasing to the eye and felt warm and welcoming. Great atmosphere. The outside patio looked very cute and Im sure it would be nice to sit out there during the warmer months. The menu was very easy to understand and the prices are good for what youre getting. The staff was very nice and efficient. Everything down to the bathroom was nice. Very cute womens bathroom, clean and well kept. I Id definitely eat at Rock Elm Tavern again and will be recommending it to people in the area. We had the Crispy Artichokes for an appetizer- delicious. For my meal I had the Safety Adam. Its a plain burger, add cheese. Perfectly cooked with a warm buttery bun. Id definitely order it again because I prefer simple burgers. Overall, I was very impressed by Rock Elm Tavern and will be returning in the future. Hope this restaurant stays around longer than the others that were in that location!

Its been years since Ive been pleasantly surprised by a restaurant. I went to Rock Elm for the first time tonight. I had a chance to speak with Tim, the General Manager. He was knowledgeable and helpful as was our waitress, KC. We had less than a 20 minute wait to be seated. We ordered drinks and dinner everything was fantastic. Their steak and salads were very good. I had their specialty Makers Mark Manhattan - which was on of the best cocktails Id ever had. Last month my wife and I went downtown to a high end restaurant. It was 2.5x the cost and wasnt all that good. We are thrilled that Plymouth has a restaurant that offers good food, is reasonably prices and is so close to home. Way to go!! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I thought we would try something different than our usual Maple Grove dinner scene. Even though it was a Friday night and the place was very busy we were seated quickly. For an appetizer we ordered onion rings, but was a little disappointed they dont make their own as our waitress confirmed. For dinner my wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich which she said was very good. I had the bourbon burger and fries, but the burger lacked any flavor as my wife agreed. The fries were even a bigger disappointment as they were the wimpiest fries I ever had. Although, we did not have a great first experience Ill give them another try this summer as they must be doing something right being so busy.

This place took my by total surprise! The aesthetic is modern, slick and clean but steeping with tasteful charm and friendly staff. There is outdoor seating, a bar and a dining room. The beer selection is excellent - especially if you are into the local MN / WI craft scene. The menu is grade-A; there is something for every palette. I ordered the guacamole appetizer, salmon chowder and the bourbon BBQ burger with a side of tots and let me tell you - it was all phenomenal! The service was outstanding and the vibe was friendly and authentic. I will most certainly be a return customer! I highly recommend Rock Elm Tavern!

Boy, I dont know about anyone who said the food was tasteless, they either had a cold or their taste buds arent functional. We went there tonight for a family birthday gathering, I was a bit skeptical looking at the menu because I usually dont care for "trendy dishes. I ordered the steak salad and my mother had the chicken club and all I can say is DANG that was terrific! I was really pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend going there. It can be a little pricey and it was a bit loud but hey, it was on a Saturday evening. Staff was friendly and attentive so yes, a nice experience!

The restaurant had a great selection of beers, including a Berliner Weisse, which is harder to find, so I was pretty impressed. The food selection is great, and the turkey avocado club was delicious! The staff was very friendly, but almost every time we ordered more drinks, one thing was missing. It wasnt a huge problem, because they fixed it right away with a great attitude. Id come back again to try more. It was a hard choice between four items, so I want to come and try the other three!

Met friends here for drinks one summer evening. We wanted to sit outside on the patio, there were several tables open, but they made us wait about 30 minutes before seating us out there. Service was good. We ordered appetizers and they were good, just not what we were expecting. The apps are fancy and you dont get much, not what I would expect at a place with "tavern" in its name. Good place, not sure why we had to wait as it wasnt busy inside the restaurant either.

Solid joint for the west metro, nice to have some interesting food and excellent cocktails. They have a great beer selection as well with lots of beers rotating in and out. Service is great as well. This is the same outfit that owns the red cow restaurants so you know the burgers are great. Definitely try the house made tots, which are more like croquettes and must have gruyère cheese in them. The skirt steak is also fantastic. Great bar and always busy.

Went here over lunch during the week. Service was prompt & courteous. After ordered, we noticed a fruit fly, then another, and then when our food came they were flying all over. We were seated in a booth along a wood planked wall. My friend mentioned it being off-putting& the server said they were aware of the issue & had an exterminator coming. The food was good, server was kind, but the fruit flies were a BIG problem. I hope they resolve it soon.
