My friends and I (13 total) went to the restaurant in Minneapolis on May 14. Our reservation was for 1:00pm which we were on time for. I am sad to say that I had a very poor experience there. When we arrived it took more than 20 mins to get our table drinks. They took appetizer requests right away but then disappeared and didnt take meal orders for another 20+ mins. They were very slow with drink orders, specialty drinks were filled only 1/2 full, and the food was sub par. I understand that for groups larger than 8 that they automatically charge 18% gratuity but for the two younger waitresses we had we should have been a very easy table. It wasnt as if we were ordering things at all separate times, when one person ordered a drink we all basically ordered one. If it had not been a party for one of my friends I would have made a scene about the gratuity and how I dont think I would have tipped 10% if at all. If your staff cant handle serving 6 people each they would have a hard time at busier restaurants (at the time of day CRAVE was not too packed). 1p.m on a Saturday afternoon, the lunch crowd was wrapping up. I used to work in customer service and when I had a party I worked my tail off for that group. I didnt do a half ass job because I know Im getting the tip regardless. **Note to anyone with large party...make your reservations in groups of less than 8 so you can determine yourself the amount you tip based on the quality you receive.**

My wife and I went to Crave in Minneapolis for our four year anniversary. We ordered sushi and drinks and had a good experience at the restaurant. On the drive home I began to feel nausea. These feelings continued through the night. My wife began to feel sick about three hours after leaving the restaurant. She had a terrible night in the bathroom. Both of us felt better the next day. We sent Crave a message through their website. The manager called the next day, but I missed the call. She left a message and I called her back. I had to leave a message because she was not there. We waited over a week for a call back. Eventually, I emailed back stating my displeasure. She proceeded to email back asking me to call her...again. I emailed back saying this will be better resolved through email and that I will answer any questions. I never heard back. Needless to say, the problem was never resolved and we will not be going back. Clearly, Craves food handling is not done in a safe matter and they do not care about their customers concerns.

Disappointed in Crave tonight. I was a single and got seated in a pretty dead spot on the way to the bathroom...no one else seated over there. I was ok with that as long as I got served. I got water and a menu pretty quick, but nothing else. After more than 20 minutes, with no waiters in sight in the area except 2 setting up a large table, I left. Could I have asked for a waiter...sure, but do I really need to do that? They knew I was there... four different staff people interacted with me upon arrival. As a Crave member I invest a few dollars there. My single bill would have been more then $30. I just expected more. Went downstairs to Rock Bottom and got waited on, ordered and my cocktail in less than 5 minutes. Advice to Crave...you have a space that can easily be out if sight, out of mind. That means you need to pay special attention to anyone seated there. Next time, I will reject a table in that space.

Place was nasty!! We had a server named Jason who has terrible service from the start. Waited way too long to order, we were never really checked on, and had the bill with my payment sitting for him to take for over 20 minutes. Touching our food in the window, letting food fall and he placed it back on the plate, almost every plate of food we had I was hesitant to start eating. Sitting at the tables directly next to the bar and it smelt like old garbage. The cups for our drinks were dirty. It seemed like we were almost a burden to be there for him and we did not feel welcome. Finally to top it off, as he is bringing my card back, he drops it on the ground and doesnt even notice. I could of even picked it up myself before he was told that it was laying on the ground. Terrible atmosphere and will not be attending this place for any sorts of refreshments or food. Would NOT recommend!

I went there with a table of 7 last week. We just wanted to relax and chat so we took our time and looked at the menu then ordered. It was a Sunday night hardly any tables on the roof top ordering food. It took over an hour and a half before we were served! I ordered the Brisket and Waffles for 18.99. I got two little slices of meat and a waffle with BBQ Syrup that was just like BBQ sauce. I think the split the meat portion between the two of us that ordered it at our table. She hated the Brisket and Waffles too. If we hadnt already spent 18.99 each, we would have split a sandwich. Others at the table enjoyed their menu selection. They did offer us free dessert, which made it a little better since I was still very hungry after my brisket slice. The desserts were very yummy! Do not go there if you are crunched for time. Eating there takes the whole evening.

Made reservations for my birthday and ended up waiting at my reserved table for more than 15 minutes with no service on the rooftop. After seeing about six servers pass us by and two tables that got service after a minute of them being sat, we went downstairs to the dining room for a table. Again, sat there for about 10-15 minutes until we got service. Fourty minutes of us being here, we finally got to order our food. My friend ordered the Crab Over Filet and her filet mignon was not tender at all..even at medium rare! Finally, we asked for the manager because of the disappointment and as we explained to him how our night went, he kept cutting us off and not letting us finish. Our server finally came back again and explained that the manager is buying us dessert, which we didnt ask for anything free, we just wanted better accommodation.

Service Left Much To Be Desired. I was on the rooftop with a group and we were literally one of three tables there - it was completely empty for after work. The hosteses sat us after they finished their conversation with each other. Then we waited 15 minutes until we finally had to ask who our waiter was - again, only 3 other tables were being used and there were about 5 waitstaff hovering around the bar. Finally our waiter arrived, without a personality. We asked if they had cidar beers and it took him another 5 minutes to figure it out. I dont know where they hire their staff, but it was the worst service I have had in a while. The other Crave locations are not as bad, but something about downtown Crave brings out the snotty, skanky and stupid.
