I live in Monticello and have been to this Perkins at least 10 times. I love Perkins. Food is good, service is always polite and friendly. Just like all Perkins. You know what youre going to get. I feel it important to add few things. I read some of the other reviews and they were ridiculous. People complaining about rediculous things, "the resteraunt was busy so I was slow to get my food" , " I came here during my lunch break and didnt have enough time to eat" , " they didnt seat me fast enough after a table was cleared even though they told me it was at least the twenty minute wait" " I didnt tell them to split the check and then it was too late because it was already rung up". Come on people. Learn how to rate properly. People gave this Perkins 1 and 2 stars because they are either A) Stupid B) Expect Perkins to be something its not. This is a decent Perkins. 4 Stars. I live in Monticello Ive been to this Perkins at least 10 times. I gave it 5 stars to try to unweight the stupid reviews people gave it. The food is good and the people are nice. Just a regular, normal Perkins.

We dont come here often, the following is the reason this time. 20min in, started drinking syrup, tasted better than the tap water. Just kidding I have issues with high fructose corn syrup! The water is gross for real though. Didnt want to but talked to a manager. $11 for a kid sized portion of a "popular" meal. The M.O.D. was talking so loud as to scare others out of "complaining" if they were thinking about it (my opinion/experience). Expensive (food) for quality I understand however, high price due to simply a branded name I do not. We were given a muffin to satisfy the disproportion. After the manager we went on to complete our then cold meals, which wasnt bad. It is a cookie cutter type chain though where everything is a basic as possible. That said though there is something every time that is substandard, which is why we will not be going back for a couple more years (again)! The cashier was nice and helped us with 20% off the bill after the fact. That felt better than the managers claim to not be in control of pricing or how corporate regulates the portions. Silly!

Me and my coworker went there for lunch, I told the server when she sat us we only had so much time being we were on our lunch break the sat us down and gave us menus. We sat and waited for her to come get our drink order for about 10 minutes, then when she finally brought us the drinks she walked away to help another customer, so we waited another 10 minutes to just order our food. When we got our food it was great! When we went to pay, the waitress had put our bill together and didnt split it, and the host at counter told us she "couldnt split the check, it had already been prossed " thats BS. You cant tell me you cant void the transaction and really ring it up seperetly. the service just isnt how perkins used to be. I come here offen and this is the 3rd time this has happend. My suggestion is that they train there staff a little better before throwing them on the floor. P.s. this is coming from a past server.

Had a great experience tonight. Was greeted by a really nice server, and almost immediately my kids noticed the balloon artists. They were really funny. My kids were so enchanted (even when they werent at our table), that I got to relax and enjoy myself for a change. When it was our turn, these two were so silly, that my kids just giggled, and before we knew it, our food arrived, and it was perfect. I was also impressed that they noticed I had a 2 year old and let me know about the safety policy and not giving choking items to toddlers. Were planning to come back for his 3rd birthday to celebrate! The food was great as usual, and I appreciate the kids menu choices. Thanks for being a geat place for families.

We walked in around 10:45 for breakfast, were told the wait was going to be around 20 min. There were probably 30 people waiting to be seated. As we all stood there waiting and waiting and waiting, I could see 4 open tables, two of which were already clean. And still no party of any size was being seated. We watched multiple families pay their bill and leave and still no one was seated. When we finally were seated we asked to place our order right away. The server never came back to check on us or refill drinks. We saw her 3 times, when she seated us, delivered our food and when she put the bill on the table before asking if we were even finished or wanted dessert or anything.

Okay food, although I wish the sausage was more cooked. The restroom door was oddly sticky and so was just about most things inside that place. That place had like a greasy feel to it; like the menus, the table, the seats, etc. Not sure if thats because they dont vent maybe thier kitchen or ??? I can understand how the wait staff "appears rude" it is just the way these Minnesota ladys are... They dont know the real kindness of the South! Plus they are trying to serve "Southern" cooking for breakfast without GRITS! OMG... NO GRITS! Dont call it Southern cooking unless you guys get the real stuff!

Bad Mangement: waited over an hour after ordering to ask the manger when we will be getting our food (after seeing multiple tables sitting after us and being served their order) manger had every excuse in the book. All I was looking for is a sorry and let me check on your order, so lets just say we walk out. I believe the mangers name was Tim and he needs to be replaced.

Minnesota, we need to sit down and have an intervention about your weird Perkins obsession. Perkins food is dreadful and they cant even cook breakfast right. It seems to be popular with drunks at 2am, old people, and families with young children. So yeah, all across the board with its appeal. If you fall into one of those categories, perhaps youd enjoy it. I dont get it.

My family and I walked out of this Perkins location. Once we got there and was seating we were sitting for about 20min and no wait staff came over to even offer us drinks. After sitting for about 30min and still no wait staff came by we left. We do not plan on ever going back to this location, we went to another restaurant where there was better service.

Ive never had bad pancakes from Perkins before until I visited this restaurant. Ive been to many Perkins and they were all what youd expect. This one however, had stale pancakes. I had a scramble bowl and it was good. However, all 4 of us at the table were disappointed with our pancakes. On the plus, the service was good and the restaurant was clean.

Wonderful service. Delightful staff. Last two visits a disappointment. Food wonderful but all our servings were skimpy. Potato side was only a tablespoon on all six orders, both visits.. Though we could order from senior menu ,didnt for larger servings. Left hungry. Too bad.
