So disappointed. Wasnt going to go here (because my mom got food poisoning here a while back) but I had won a gift certificate. Food was drowning in grease, and the appetizer came out after the entree. Then when we went up to pay, they REFUSED to honor the gift certificate and forced me to pay straight up. I wouldnt have even gone if it wasnt for the gift certificate, and if as a business they need to cheat broke college kids out of money thats pretty pathetic. Dont visit this restaurant unless you want bad service or food poisoning...new prague has a lot of other great options and there are other Mexican places not too far away that are exponentially better. Drive the extra 20 minutes and go to Teresas.

The food is great, and the service is good. Margaritas on the other hand... no bueno. My question is this: why is it called "El Tequila" when tequila is a feminine noun? Shouldnt it be "La Tequila"? I Googled "La Tequila" and a super fancy restaurant in California popped up. Maybe thats what they were going after... Either way, I love this place and go often when Im in town.

Greeted with a smile, seated right away. Waiter was at our table promptly. Of course o spilled salsa on my shirt and without having to ask for napkins our waiter noticed and brought some to me ASAP. Drinks were refilled promptly. Wait staff was excellent!! Food was delicious, and reasonably priced!! Definitely coming back!!

We were served water that had BLEACH in it. Upon taking a sip it was very strong and burned our mouth and throat. They handled it poorly and even admitted that they accidentally pour our water from the wrong pitchers and there actually was bleach in the water we were served!!!

Decent food. Environment is not bad, but forgettable. Food was good for MN standards, but not great as far as mexican food goes. Service was decent, but we had to wait a few minutes while the waitress got to us. Casual dining...forgettable.

Food is nothing special, service leaves something to be desired, their fried rice is not made to order or fresh, and they will charge you $3 for free chips and salsa depending on your order without a warning.

Competitive with the best in the twin cities. Similar to the el toro loro chain but better food although a buck higher per dish. Casual swift and attentive service. An excellent find in its local

Large menu of choices. Decent burritos. Not exactly the freshest, authentic mex. But not bad. Order take out and sit at the bar for a quick margarita. Very friendly staff and good service.

I ordered a chicken salad and meat had gone bad. And then the staff gave grief cuz i wanted to send it back. The fajitas were covered in sugar sauce that just wasnt good.
