Well took my daughter both of us was the first time there to the university ave shop. Its more of a coffee shop, they had a very small display case for cookies, enough to hold maybe 8 different kinds, we had the choice of 5 and not what we wanted, so that was the first disappointment, employee said well she ( tina the owner ) makes 100 different kinds but not here, at the the other shop...wonderful. I was expecting a real cookie shop, not a coffee shop with a few cookies...sigh. So I got a peanut butter and daughter got a chocolate chip, mine was burnt on the bottom and a 1/8" into the cookie while the inside was under cooked so they are baking them on a way too hot temp. So $8.50 for 2 poorly baked cookies, I will not be going back and no idea what all the hype was for ? I drove from west st.paul as well, what a waste of time, gas and cash.

This place is rad and should get your business. I was riding my back past the store about 2 minutes before they closed recently and ran into the owner loading up her car with cookies out front. While she politely told me the store was closed she proceeded to offer my wife and I a free 1/2 pound cookie each of whatever we liked (she was packing up a huge # of cookies for the next days farmers market)! She let us in to poke around the cafe and patio while they finished closing up and we just chilled for a minute and talked about all the awesomeness they have going on. This place is brightly lit with natural light, has great artwork, a lovely patio, comfortable furniture and most importantly cookies! Check. Them. Out.

Seems like it really could be an interesting place to hangout. My friend and I were out and about and in the area and stepped in for some coffee. Cookies looked good, but wasnt hungry, so I didnt buy one. Got a latte, though, which was okay - a little burnt tasting. Why did I rate this place so low, then? Well, it wasnt until I got home and took the lid off my cup that I noticed a hair in my latte... Color and length varied it wasnt mind... Sad. Probably would have stopped in to try a cookie the next time I was in the area, but Im a little hesitant now.

Without a doubt, the Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie is the best cookie Ive ever eaten. All the cookies Ive had are gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside. I visit T-Rex Cookies to try new cookies (and all are amazing!), but I always end up leaving with at least one Sea Salt Caramel Chocolate Chip. T-Rex Cookies are available in downtown Minneapolis in the Capella building on Wednesdays, and at the Minneapolis farmers market (Government Plaza) on Thursdays.

Im gluten free so I cant really speak to the cookies, but this is really a coffee shop with cookies. They source from UP Roasters which is my favorite coffee in the cities. Sizes are smaller but prices are reasonable. Cookies int he display case looked great, though perhaps limited variety and quantity for purporting to be a cookie shop. Some Sift gluten free baked options. Great for studying, work, or reading as its usually not packed and lots of natural light.

I first tried these cookies at the farmers market downtown this past summer, and loved them! Every single one Ive tried has been delicious and soft. When the farmers market closed for the season I always made sure to stop by the booth in Capella Tower, and finally made the trek to the café. Tina is always so friendly, and her and her team consistently provide excellent customer service! Will definitely keep coming back.

Friendly staff but overpriced cheap food. Paid $20 for our lunch, and $9 of it was spent on a "turkey panini." When the panini arrived it was not actually a panini, but HALF of a cold wonder bread sandwich with turkey, mayo, piece of lettuce, and swiss cheese. NOTHING comes with the HALF sandwich either, no fruit, no chips, no side of vegetable. Totally NOT worth $9. We wont be going to this place again.

Simply amazing is an understatement! These cookies are the best ones Ive had. I love the Carmel Oreo, and the Sea Salt Carmel. Delicious! I got hooked on these after the company I work for (Trinity3 Technology) bought over 50+ cookies! Ive been back several times, and continue to come back many more. Maybe Ill try something else on the menu for once besides the cookie happy hour everytime :)

So, first, the cookies: we tried the chocolate chip and chocolate ginger snap cookies and saved the PB cookie for later. The cookies tasted pretty fresh and were crisp on the outside and soft the rest of the way through. They were lacking in flavor though. So good texture but kind of bland, unfortunately. The staff seemed unfriendly to the customers and grouchy to one another - not a good vibe.

SEA. SALT. CARMEL. CHOCOLATE. CHIP. wasnt voted the #1Cookie in America by the New York Post for no reason. Best Secret Date Spot in Minneapolis for UofM students......Great coffee and ambiance. Friendly service and cool patio!! Truly a hidden gem of the neighborhood. Cookies are baked fresh daily, so the availability varies day-to-day. Check social media page to see latest Cookie Line-up.

Super fun place; they really commit to the T-Rex theme. The cookies were good and they had a lot of different flavors. I was a little surprised that all the cookies had a chocolate chip cookie base and that there werent any double chocolate cookies. The cookies are both large and very thick.

Bruh...these cookies are amazing. As the woman gave me the cookie she said " we have to go bags if you cant finish it." I didnt even know what I was in for. Literally half pound cookies. And theyre the perfect mix of crispiness, crunch, and gooey. Im gonna have dreams about these cookies.

The savory muffins and croissants are delicious. I specifically come here to purchase the "Donald" sandwich, which I do not have them prepare (as I dont like the ingredients---ha ha, it works both ways) but they donate $ to ACLU or a foundation helping immigrants.

To be quite honest I have a huge problem with the way that they treat customers after only being in the shop a couple of times. Everything I have heard about them has proven to be true- overpriced and unkind. Definitely wont be coming again.

These cookies are awesome. The sea salt caramel is my favorite; gooey inside, crisp outside. Coffee is decent too. Its a great vibe inside. I used to go to cupcake and was not a fan. I love T-rex though. Prices are super reasonable.

A bit spendy, but some of the best cookies ever. No gluten-free cookies yet, but they do carry some GF items from "Sift". Also, they currently serve coffee from the Bootstrap roasters in WI.

Amazing cookies and fun atmosphere. Had a good time looking through the antiques at Art & Architecture in the same building after getting some cookies to go. Looking forward to going back!

I am not a big sugar fan, but I did try one of the cookies that someone brought to a meeting a while back, and it was very good. My wife loves this place, and she is big on sugar.

Great friendly staff. Amazing cookies. Cute kids books. Guitar to play for everyone. Next to an antique store. Parking is only complaint. Even parking in back was full..
