My girlfriend and I loved this place!! We had a fabulous young lady serving us too - didnt hover, didnt ignore, answered our questions thoughtfully and thoroughly, and didnt ramble. We are both big fans of crepes anyway, so we chose to share an entrée, add a side of sweet potato fries, and each order a dessert--that way, we could sample three crepes. Lunch was Crepe Lorraine - I ordered Hollandaise too but it went virtually untouched because the mornay was divine. The order of fries wasnt big, we definitely wanted more. Dessert was Bananas Foster crepes and Lemoncello crepes. Tough call on which was better. Both had the most delicious crème sauce. Neither of us could taste very much lemon, if at all, but the berry puree was so flavorful, it would likely be difficult to distinguish by itself. This restaurant was darling in design and charm. It was all about birds and cages but very unique and fun to look around, including the ladies restroom. Please open an Aviary Café in St. Louis!

Ate at the Farmers Market Aviary for the first time. Nice staff, prompt service. Im not a big breakfast fan but for breakfast it was nice, except for the maple syrup. I was hoping for the Vermont 100% maple syrup treat but this was the same synthetic, overly sweet stuff you can get anywhere. Other than that the food was good. Im giving it a 3 star because of the fake syrup and the chairs and table. The chairs are metal and narrow. Im a size 10 and the seats were tight around my hips. My husband said the same thing. As for the tables they are very cute, for now. Rough wood with holes and cracks that are never going to be able to be cleaned properly. Already has lint in the deep cracks. I dont like to put lemon slices in my tea so they went on the table. Just little things that might improve the experience. Well try it again for lunch and see how that goes.

If I could give it six stars, I would. Not the person who writes reviews often but this place is awesome. Ordered the Is It Morning? and it was one of the best breakfasts and crepes I ever had. Everything was crisp, delicious, and service was so fast - I felt like the second I sat down, I already had my food. While specializing in crepes theyve got good variety, one of those places where you look at the menu and think, "Oh, I could order like 10 of these things and be perfectly fine." Waitress was awesome, had a smile on her face the whole time and the atmosphere was just super positive. They serve your check in between a French dictionary which is a nice touch, too... only in Springfield for work about once a year but will definitely be back every time Im around!

Let me start by saying, Aviary downtown is one of our favorite places to go. Their staff is always friendly & helpful. We love their pomme frites with the garlic aioli. We pretty much always get their steak frites, and its cooked perfectly. However, last night we tried out the one at Farmers Park, and it was a big let down. Our Bloody Mary was undrinkable. It tasted like straight celery salt. When we ordered, we specifically asked for a rare steak. When it came out, the steak was way overcooked, and even charred on the bottoms. Luckily, they still have great pomme frites, so the dinner wasnt a complete bust. Dont get me wrong. Aviary is a delicious restaurant, but last night at the Farmers Park location was way under parr.

Cute little cafe with a nice corner spot and windows looking out to the street. Lots of natural light and bird-inspired decor. The menu has a ton of delicious options, including sweet and savory crepes. My friend got the crepe Benedict. She says it never disappoints and she would give it the highest number of stars possible. She also had the pomme frites with a kind of herbed mayo dip (Shes obsessed). I had the Vegetarian omelette (really delicious veggies and sauce and the eggs were cooked to perfection) and the Lemoncello crepe (lemon curd, marshmallow sauce, and berry compote - to die for). I highly recommend the Walnut and Jefferson location. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

The Aviary is an absolutely lovely place for a date. My partner and I love the atmosphere, their food is fanciful French-style cafe-fair, and the servers were very professional. This is the sort of place that tempts me to run a restaurant when I retire one day. Its not super-cheap but with the quality of food that they bring to the table, it is very reasonably priced. It would make a good anniversary date for a college student to save up for, and is upscale enough that it wouldnt feel strange to see someone proposing marriage there. I couldnt recommend this place more highly. It is a breath of fresh-air!

Savory: Crepes Benedict -- perfectly poached eggs, excellent Hollandaise sauce (not overpowering), simply delicious and surprisingly filling. Sweet crepe: Funky Monkey -- how can you go wrong with bananas, Nutella and creme fraiche? Its not too sweet, just delicious. Service was excellent! We had Madison wait on us, and she was sweet, attentive, personable, and "on it" keeping our coffee hot and water filled. The atmosphere is awesome - warm, friendly, bright and quirky - just the way we like!

I couldnt decide on a savory crepe or sweet crepe, so she encouraged me to indulge in both! Lol. My kinda gal! So I enjoyed TWO gluten free crepes, starting with he sweet Nutella with charred marshmallow fluff on top. Yum!!!! Hen they made Mae a gluten free savory crepe, filling it with he Cuban sandwich ingredients! So good! Stuffed!

I enjoyed dinner in this lovely cafe with my wife. The service was personal and professional. The cajun crepe was prepared perfectly, shrimp and chicken cooked tender wirh a robust cajun creme sauce that was absolutely spot on. My wife raved about her shrimp and cheddar crepe as we enjoyed dinner and a bottle of wine. I expect to see the Avairy Cafe soon listed as one of the top ten dining experiences in Springfield. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

I went here for a business breakfast. I had the "French Bread" (what they call the French toast). Some of the best I ever had. Most places dont cook French toast thoroughly, this was cooked very well. The berry compote was just delicious. The presentation was very nice, as well.I enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere a lot. Our server was great at her job. I am quite impressed! Id recommend The Aviary to any friend or family member.

Just on the border of downtown Springfield, this gem beckons with charm and vintage appeal. Theyre small, so you may have a bit of a wait if you dont have reservations. Dont get discouraged, its worth the wait! The Black & Blue Crepes are light, savory, and flavorful. The French Onion soup is perfectly made. The atmosphere is enchanting. This is a must stop if you are in Springfield for any length of time.
