(Visited on a weekday morning in February). Great food, great customer service! I didnt have a good experience with the other customers though. There were some rude and obnoxious business coworkers that came in after me who totally ruined my experience. I went to try this place out for the first time to peacefully start my morning and plan out the week. I was the only one in the whole place until they came in and chose out of all the tables to sit at the table directly behind me. They talked really loudly and about things I didnt care to hear about (drinking, their love lives, crazy exes, lots of swearing and sexist jokes about women). This is all while wearing suits of course. However this is not the fault of the Waffle Bar, so its not counted as a factor in my rating. Hopefully it was just a one time experience and doesnt happen on the regular, but wanted to mention it in case this is part of their regular clientele. The food is fantastic!!! The waffle was SOOO good. I would give the food alone 5 stars. They had a few nondairy milks to choose from if you want a nondairy latte which was awesome. I gave it four stars because although the food is really tasty $8 for a waffle is a little expensive for me. I will go back again, but not frequently. I would definitely recommend for you waffle lovers out there!

Went this past weekend (10/29/16) to try it out. I had heard the wait for the waffles is long after youve ordered, but figured to give it a shot. The wait was long. Its a good thing we werent in a rush or starving. Probably waited a good 30 min. It was a Saturday morning and they were busy. Id be curious to go on a weekday morning when it isnt as busy and see how long the wait is. Or when they first open up on the weekend, early in the morning. The reason I think the waffles take long is because they make the waffles as theyre ordered. If they could pre-make some waffles and keep them warm in an oven or something else, it would help serve the food faster. I dont know about kitchen equipment, but there must be something they could get and not turn the into a "kitchen" since that would require other upgrades. Overall, the waffles were good and so was the coffee. Plenty of variety. Could be tough to get a table on the weekends. We sat at one of the bars, since it was just two of us. Id recommend going there if youre not in a rush. Simple and clean set decor/set up.

8:30 am on a Monday morning, the wait wasnt too long. 2-3 people in front of me. Found a seat right away. It started to pick up as we ate. Not sure if more or less traffic due to the holiday. I tried the "Naughty Waffle." It was good. Topped with granola, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas ... and plenty of whip cream, which I love. I didnt see much meat; maybe I overlooked it ... no bacon or sausage or eggs. Im a meat person, I guess. I know, its a waffle/coffee bar ... I shouldnt expect it. I was a little disappointed with the chai. It was watered down, but served in a simple cup and saucer, which was presentable. Restrooms were clean, but I was not impressed with paper towels sitting on top of the toilet or the toilet paper sitting on top of the hand rail.

We ordered a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream and one "Smores" waffle. They were both good, but not outstanding. We had espresso drinks which were both good, though one was served without the flavor syrup we ordered. I paid with plastic and was prompted to add tip to my payment, which I did. Turns out there is no table service! What is this tip for?? Pros: *lots* of fun options for waffle toppings, nice atmosphere in the restaurant, local artists work on the walls, good coffee/espresso menu Cons: pricey relative to amount/quality of food, no table service (price seems like it should go with restaurant service, but they offer counter service)

The waffles are worth the hype! And they have gluten-friendly and vegan options, too. Lots to please the palate--sweet to savory, fruit to marshmallows. The waffles themselves are crisp, light, and fluffy, a great base for putting creative stuff on top. This location is still in soft open phase, so the décor is pretty plain. Im hoping that as thy continue to develop, theyll build out their brand so the seating isnt just functional, but matches the mood of the place. Also! Even though theres a wait, its still currently less busy than their Como location, so take advantage while you can!

Have wanted to try this place for awhile. Finally got the chance to go there tonight and I was undewhelmed. The staff member who helped us was rude, and when I asked for her suggestion for lactose/dairy free options and then said they arent responsible if it was cross contaminated and made it seem like I had to know what was dairy free or not. It was overpriced for what we ordered and I did end up getting sick. If you have a sensitive food allergy be cautious here, or if you are vegan it might cross contaminate apparently.

You kind of want to walk into a place called Black Coffee and Waffle bar and be blown away. Didnt happen despite a few tries. The waffles themselves are pretty average and the prices do not match the quality. It is such a great concept (black coffee and waffles) but I wish for some substance to the waffle itself so the different toppings (way overdone) dont kill the base. Poor little waffle. He gets shown up by his louder older siblings who scream a lot but ultimately do not satisfy. Counter servers tend toward surly.

Waffles were good. Coffee was good. With drinks and waffles, the three of us ended up shelling out $45 for breakfast. Pretty steep for the quality particularly considering they dont do free refills for coffee. It took us around 20 minutes to get our food, which wasnt too bad considering they originally told us it would take 40 mins. Service was good though. Overall, Id wait a few months for them to iron out their system, and even then if youre looking for a fast, cheap breakfast go somewhere else.

Yum! Good coffee and super fun waffle combos. The ham and Swiss savory waffle is surprisingly good, and a good option for folks who dont like all sweets for breakfast, or who like a savory/sweet combo with the addition of maple syrup. Despite the waffles on the menu, this isnt a full-service diner, so dont expect eggs or other traditional breakfast dishes. There are also waffle specials that vary by season and are quite good -- e.g. a chocolate waffle with dark cherries and whipped cream for Feb.

I think we would have enjoyed it more had there not been a long hair found in the whip cream on my husbands waffle. He asked our server for a new one and was given one, and no apology given other than "Sorry about that." 3 ladies working in the kitchen and only one of them had their hair tied back, Im sure we werent the only ones who had extras that we didnt ask for in our food. Quite frankly, I expect more out of a place that charges almost &$30 for two waffles and two coffees.
