It is a regular stomping ground for me, friends, family.....basically because it is close to home. Usually a great place to visit. This morning we thought we would go for breakfast. We were looking forward to the bloody mary bar. Service was friendly, only brought us one breakfast menu. Guess they thought we like to share! I always order a cup of the " soup of the day" no matter where or what time of day. She told me what it was and what was in it.....corn.....ok. I got a cup of corn, in corn. Horrible to say the least. We order, I order the omelet, something between the Denver and something else according to the menu, more like the something with hashbrowns and toast. I got American fries instead....dumtadumdum. Do I send it back knowing now the rest of the food will be cold when it is returned? I hate American fries so I tell the guy and he is quick to grab my plate and said he will fix that, why didnt he just leave it there and go get the hashbrowns?????? not surprised my breakfast comes back cold and the toast like a rock. I did have a very cold glass of milk but I think she had to milk the cow to get it....took forever! Will I go back....yes for the bloody mary, forget the food, unless you put that in your drink! Olives galore for breakfast at the Moose :) Even though it is close I will not eat there again, just stop in for the happy hour...probably what they want us neighbors to do anyway.

It was a hot day in April after a mountain bike ride at Lebanon Hills Mountain Bike Trail. My fiancé and I stopped at the Moose Country Restaurant to cool off, refresh, and have some lunch. I ordered an Arny Palmer (the quintessential refreshing warm weather drink) and I enjoyed it immensely- however- when I asked for a refill (of a drink that EVERY other place I had been to gave free refills) I was told that they dont give refills on non-alcoholic drinks. As if this wasnt bad enough, a hung-over manager (who seemed like she could care less about the customers) came to our table and told me I was lucky that they were going to offer me one refill on the drink despite the fact that it was never mentioned on the menu that there were no free refills. Poor service, Poor management, and a bad memory later, I find myself writing this blog. This is the first restaurant review I have felt compelled to write and it is solely based on the poor handling of the situation that came up. I would avoid this place. This was my first time getting a non-alcoholic drink at the establishment but it wasnt my first time getting food. Every time I have ordered food it has been cold, unflattering, or just bad. I would only go here again if truly desperate.

First time ever writing a bad review as I will go out of my way to compliment restaurants, staff, servers but this was by FAR the worst service I have ever had. My girlfriend and I had visited the Moose Country a few times and had their steak special. The previous trips went well as the service and steak were good. As is the case anywhere I had a bad steak on our next trip. Very fatty and gristly. I ate very little and informed my server who didnt want to really do anything at all. But at my request brought the steak back for the manager to look at. He came back and informed me that he was sorry but there was nothing he could do. ( no new steak or the steak taken off our bill ) He said well you ate some. I said well of course but very little and that the vast majority of the steak was still on the plate. Once again he reiterated that he would do nothing. My girlfriend and I were blown away. I asked him if I could talk to his manager and he informed me that would be his parents and that they would tell me the same thing. Im thinking his parents would not have and that they have a clue what service is. Arrogant, unprofessional, rude, etc. We are in our 50s and will never give this place a shot again.

Service was horrible! It took our waitress 15 minutes to come to our table after we sat down, and another 20 minutes just to bring us drinks. I decided to order my burger right away since things were taking so long and my friends and I also ordered waters since we were having alcohol. Well my burger came before my water which was very upsetting. I had a juicy lucy and I understand that the middle doesnt get cooked that well, the even tell you that on the menu but my burger was RAW and the top of the burger was over cooked. I was upset about it but our waitress never came around to ask how the food was so I ate the fries and just waited. About a half hour later she came by and just took the food away without asking. We wanted to get another order of drinks but she walked away right after that so my friend had to go find her and tell her that we wanted another round of drinks and our checks. Well we waited another 20 minutes before our shots were brought to us. Keep in mind this was on a Sunday night and they werent very busy. Terrible service, I will never go back. They are terrible at making drinks as well.

Slow service, apathetic waitress and a comedy of errors. I ordered a hot cocoa drink but was served something barely palatable. I had little time to spend there so I didnt send the awful tasting drink back. Since I had to be up very early the next day, I was a bit upset when I realized that I had unwittingly drank half a cup of shamelessly stale coffee crowned with a dollop of whipped cream at that hour. Our elusive waitress was indifferent, even skeptical to my plight and she never offered an apology. The manager thought he was doing me a favor when he said I didnt have to pay for it. I needed to get home to bed and was about to leave when the appetizer I ordered finally showed up 55 minutes after I had ordered it. I told the waitress it was much too late now and she again summoned the manager. It wasnt until after another uncomfortable conversation with him that I left; the appetizer untouched and unpaid for, and The Moose with a bad taste in my mouth.

The GM here is so terrible. His quote "The customer is not always right, but the customer is the customer." Terrible service, burnt food, hair in our cheese curds. Long wait times and then the manager says one thing and then the GM comes and says were liars and that contradicts the promise what the other manager told us. To top that off, as we were leaving the GM told us in a sarcastic way to have a great evening. At this point I felt completely disrespected and told one of his employees they shouldnt be working for a manager like that.(I admit I shouldnt have lost my cool and said that) What happens next was completely uncalled for, the GM then told me eff you(the explicit version). Avoid this horribly managed restaurant at all costs, unless you feel like being told the customer isnt right and like being cussed at.

My boyfriend and I live nearby and love to go here. We usually show up on Friday nights for the margarita specials and share a pizza or some of the Minnesota wings they have which are delicious. Justin, who seems to run the place always stops by to say hi and make sure we are being taken care of and David who is one of the newer managers is also very friendly. Most of the bartenders are also pretty good, but a few could be a bit nicer but I understand they are busy. Besides the food and the specials I have to say that we try to get Ashley as our server because she is very fast and always is dancing around and in a great mood! The music is fun, typical top forty stuff, and the only real knock is some of the drunks that seem to occupy the place as the night gets late so we usually leave by 1.
