Whadda dump! I dislike Olive Garden - always have! Havent eaten at an Olive Garden in years... since my friends Coy and Frank were servers at the location in Meridian Township across from the Meridian Mall outside East Lansing, Michigan. Recently (and again now - August 2017) they had the have an entrée at the restaurant - take one home. DONT BE SUCKED IN BY THIS LUDICROUS OFFER AS WE WERE! First of all - this location is pretty dumpy. Not clean enough for me. The entrée I had at the restaurant absolutely sucked! The one I brought home... wasnt as good as the 99¢ frozen entrées you can buy at any supermarket. The service sucked in every regard. I wanted to leave the minute the host at the entrance made an issue of my preference for an area of the restaurant that offered some privacy and quietness. She eventually acquiesced. The first thing I noticed after being seated was how filthy and worn the booth seats were - and extremely uncomfortable. Our server was the mandatory... "I hate my job, nice!" The food was atrocious, as has always been my experience at any Olive Garden. The bill neither matched the food or the service. This particular location is especially disgusting and disappointing - even for the typically bad Olive Garden experience. The place is a definitive Meghan Trainor - "No!" One last thing - after the hubbub the greeter/seater that person caused not wanting to seat us where we requested... we were then immediately surrounded by a family with overly rambunctious undisciplined kids, and then a couple of ladies that appeared to be mother/daughter - more interested in loudly discussing personal differences that couldnt be unheard - even by Helen Keller. O(M)G! = Oh my gawd.. NEVER will I attempt to Olive Garden anywhere, ever again. Yuk-yuk... It suck-sucked.

Tonight my fiance and I went to our usual Olive Garden for dinner. The food has always been good as well as the service. Unfortunately, our meals were not as wonderful as expected. We both had the fettuccine alfredo as apart of our entrees, which neither of us enjoyed. It was very bland and tasted a bit like milk on noodles with no flavor. We explained this to our server Whitney, who was willing to offer us a specific desert, but when asked about a different dessert she tried to explain that it is a piece of cake as the other deserts were individual deserts by themselves. It was decided that the manager was to come over to talk with us. The manager Russ came over to the table, we explained the best we could about the blandness of the fettuccine and he told me and my fiance that he has not had any complaints about the fettuccine all night and it is the same batch they had been serving. In a way it seemed as if he was trying to make us feel guilty about not liking our food. He offered us new fettuccine, neither of us wanted a new plate because both us were pretty much done with our other portions. There was an awkward pause after we declined his offer, which then he said he "can just do 25% off but thats it." He did not apologize or introduce himself. Russ, was very stand offish as if we were an inconvenience to his night and took no effort, as it seemed, to make our experience more enjoyable. I have never had an encounter like this one with a restaurant manager. I do believe that the situation was not handled properly, especially by management. We will not be returning to this Olive Garden.

I have never been treated so badly where I, just wanted to enjoy a dinner alone, this is what happened .I had a seat at the bar, ordered my food and took so long .I went to step outside to have a smoke and was told if you got out. We are locking our door's, well my food just arrived, so I began to eat, & was rudely reminded .That if I steped outside that. I would be locked out making my ten dollar tip into a five dollar tip I left my $300.00 smart phone on the bar & headed to the restroom, once again the rudeness kicked "WOULD YOU PAY FOR YOUR FOOD", I responded, I'm just going to the restroom, "well pay before you go"!Thus turning my five dollar tip into a one roller tip & I was so uncomfortable when. I came back, I asked for a doggie bag payed for my food left a dollar tip, as I walked outside their where, get this five police cars waiting, I did not understand what I did, & one one officer asked the other "IS THIS THE GUY?" Like family ? Π0T true, how,And when? &never again.

The table i was seated at was dirty with used glasses and water all over the table. Server was nice and asked for my drinks and food order. The food did take a while, after i was served my meal she came by once to ask how my meal was, after that i saw her pass me by as she waited on others never asking if i wanted anything else or if i would like a refill on my drinks, I did however notice the manager take extra care of the table over from me, saw him over there at least 10 times, making sure they were very happy. Either he knew them or he favored them over others that was sitting in that area, he did glance my way and asked if i wanted anything else....water maybe, I said Yes thank you. I waited, he returned after being away only to return to table with his favorite customers with take home food asking them if they would like anything else. what happened to my water?? my sever finally came by only to ask if i would like dessert, I asked for the check. I will never return to this place, was my first and last.

Placed an order on my lunch break on Valentines Day so I could pick it up on my way home. The person who took my call was professional and friendly. When I arrived to pick it up, the manager, Jeff, very apologetically explained to me that there was a mix-up and it would be about a ten minute wait. I had already expected at least something of a wait - I mean, its only one of the busiest restaurant days of the year. What I didnt expect was that before I could even respond, Jeff comped the meal. I wasnt even frustrated or anything, but he insisted on it. I was absolutely impressed by his commitment to customer service. He took a minor inconvenience that Id have thought nothing of and turned it into a wonderful experience. It really made my day. I took it home, my wife and I enjoyed a lovely and delicious dinner, and we had a wonderful Valentines Day. Thanks for making it that much better!

Visited this Olive Garden during their all u can eat pasta fest. Not impressed. Of course they were packed; however they should have planned accordingly and had additional servers on the floor for just that reason. We had a rookie waitress. She was sweet and worked very hard but it was clear she needed help. She was overwhelmed as even any seasoned waiter would be. Hence, we waited an inordinate amount of time to be served our salads, biscuits, etc. Our meals arrived cold and the presentations of meals were tacky. We also had to wait for additional cocktails and refills on our pasta dishes. The last straw was when our waitress told us we had to "eat a little more" before we could try another dish. This restaurant is overpriced. Their food is mediocre at best. I do not recommend this restaurant.
