A friendly mom-and-pop place with good food, good prices, and kind owners, this is one my favorite Chinese restaurants in this hemisphere. Coming here, Im always reminded of my favorite neighborhood restaurant from when I lived in Beijing, so this is a rare find and an exceptional treat. Everything is cheaply priced, but by no means is it cheaply made. This is some seriously good food, whether youre looking for authentic Chinese (try the eggplant with garlic sauce, ma po tofu, and double cooked pork) or the more familiar westernized standards (the sesame beef will make you swoon). The appetizers are worth a look, too!

I am new to the area and love asian cuisine. I read the reviews for Sui Yep Cafe and decided to give it a try. This place is a perfect example of "Dont judge a book by its cover." The restaurant is one of those hole-in-the-wall places and the inside is somewhat disorganized due to what looks like some remodeling. But you will definitely be glad you looked past that to give the food a try. It is delicious and you can tell they use very fresh ingredients. I will definitely be a regular here!

I had dinner here last night. I have so many fond memories of their delicious chowmein and egg foo young. There were 4 of us and we all heartily agreed, it was delicious! The wait staff was so friendly and accommodating. The menu has expanded quite a bit to include some of the "newer" Chinese items, such as General Tsaos Chicken, which one in our group had ordered and she was not disappointed. Im going back on Monday and will be back several more times.

If you are willing to sit and wait over an hour for your Chinese food, you will not be disappointed. The food is, indeed, delicious, but the incredibly long wait and subpar service mean that I will never patronize this establishment again. Though I have been eating here for over two years, tonight was the final offense in a line of unreasonable wait times. Two stars ONLY for the quality of the food (if you ever get it).

Ive tried just about everything on the menu by now. Everything is good - especially the chow mein and sesame chicken. The combos are the best value. Everyone working there is friendly also. I order takeout at least every week or two and Ill keep coming back as long as I live in the neighborhood. This place is pretty much the best thing about living in the east side. Best food for the money in the Twin Cities!

I love this place. Ive been eating here with my Grandma since I was a child. We always take the back booth. The owners are great and know who I am. I have tried just about everything!!! Nothing on the menu I dont like. Great portions. And not too expensive. Must try. All time favorite of course is their Chow mein. I tried Pho for the 1st time and it was delicious.

I stopped by here between clients to satisfy my chow mein craving. I ordered my food to go and didnt check my items before leaving the restaurant. Instead of chow mein, I had a soupy celery and beef something. It tasted good mixed with the rice but I find it hard to believe this wasnt intentional and it certainly was not worth what I had paid for.

sooooo long story short Ive been wanting Chinese food for soooo long. But not just any Chinese food. The kind that reminds me of home and when I was a kid and my mom would bring home take out. And I finally found it! the fried rice and chicken is my go to! LOVE LOVE LOVE! And its so close to home. Customer for life for sure <3

Not worth the $20. The chicken wings were so tiny, I think they came from a Cornish game hen. The sweet n sour pork was nothing but grissel. The cream cheese wonton were small and burnt, very hard. The worst Chinese food Ive ever had.

Havent been there in several years the chicken was not chicken, it taste like a rodent, and yes Ive eaten rabbit and squirrel and it was similar. Last time the entire restaurant was falling apart, I hope its been fixed.

Food was great. Waitress seemed annoyed when mom asked for a coffee cup instead of those small tea cups. Short haired waitress came in to start work and was smiling at the customers. She is a bit friendlier.

Very Yummy food Xié Xié! Love the Lo Mein here, they have chicken lo mein, shrimp lo mein, cant remember the other one but their food is make delicately thats why u might wait 7-9 minutes for your food.

The food dose not have much flavor at all, lo main was almost tasteless. Also the egg rolls had dry meat, and they just did not tast very good at all. Would not recommend! Sorry not sorry....

Decent for a quick bite. Sodium level was just right. Real only complaint would be that their Lo mein was made with spaghetti noodles and not authentic lo mein noodles.
