Solo doy 3 estrellas por que no fue de mi agrado darme cuenta que los restaurantes IHOP de el área de Saint Paul, no están abiertos las 24 horas, excepto el del área del aeropuerto MSP, yo me moví de San Antonio, Texas y estaba acostumbrado a ir por las madrugadas a cenar a IHOP, y aquí no es lo mismo, en una ocasión llegue a cenar al de Maplewood a las 9 de la noche y cené pero como a los 30 minutos la mesera me dijo que cerraban a las 10 de la noche, así que no disfrute mi cena, espero esto puedan cambiarlo en un futuro próximo!!!! Los domingos voy a almorzar a este IHOP, y me ha estado atendiendo una mesera muy atenta, amable y muy trabajadora, su nombre es Rozaura, hace dos domingos le di una propina de $ 20.00 y le dejé una nota en el recibo donde firme mi cuenta, dándole las gracias por su buena atención y su buen trabajo, al final de la nota le escribí que era orgullo hispano, se lo merece la merece la muchacha y mucho más!!!! Solo por eso le daré una estrella más a este restaurante!!!!

DO NOT EAT HERE! Safe yourself from the crap services at this restaurant. We were there Sunday, 1/31/2010 for my sons birthday. There were nine of us. First, we waited 15 minutes to be seated, because it takes that long to put to tables together. Then, once we sat down, it was the last we would see of anyone. No one came to take our drink orders, our food orders, or to tell us that someone will be with us soon. NOTHING!!! Another waitress went back and forth to the other tables around us but never stopped by. It was as if we were invisible to all of them. Finally, after 20 minutes, my brother told that waitress that we were ready to order as shes walking by. She said shes not our waitress but will go get her. Another 15 minutes and no one...nothing. We left! On the way out, some of the restaurant staff just stared at us, as we were leaving. I told the hostess, Yvonne, that their service sucks and customers should be treated like that. Her responds, "Sorry, we dont have a manager working today." What, there has to be a manager working for the rest of the staff to provide customers with decent service?!?! DONT EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont EVER visit on a cold day!! We wont go back! We visited two days before Christmas for my granddaughters birthday breakfast. It was -8 degrees outside, and near freezing INSIDE. The waitress seated the family ahead of us, then made us wait and wait in the freezing doorway while she took their order and brought their drinks. The place was almost empty - how many seconds would it have taken her to get us away from the doorway before serving them? Then the waitress warned us that it was a "little chilly" because the heater was slow warming up. We tried it anyway, thinking once we were away from the doorway it would be better, and that the heater would warm up soon. It didnt. I wore long underwear, a shirt, sweater, and leather coat, and shivered non-stop until we gave up and left. What really ticked us off was the waitress LYING to us (and to everyone else), implying the heater had just started and that it would get warmer. It was 10AM and we thought IHOP had just opened - but we checked and found out it had been open for THREE HOURS before we got there!!!! There was NO CHANCE the heater would ever have warmed up enough to handle the -8 weather.

Just ok nothing special about the food. Our server was the worst. Well to start off the coffee is bad. Its like they keep brewing the same grounds over and over very weak and no flavor. We ordered our food nothing complicated a smokehouse combo (two eggs two smoked sausage hashbrown two pancakes) and a 2x2x2 (two eggs two bacon two pancakes) Two other couples were seated and ordered their food after us, But some how received their food before us ? (Different server) When our food did get to the table the server slammed the plates on the table. She did this to other table also. The food was just above room temp. The pancakes are rubbery and cold not even melting the butter on top of them. The smoked sausage is very salty and did not taste like smoked sausage more like a hotdog. Wife had one bite and that was it for the sausage. How can a IHOP mess up pancakes. Pancakes should be light fluffy and hot. Not cold and rubbery.

For a restaurant named the "International House of Pancakes" the food experience was extremely disappointing. The pancakes were tough and hard to cut. It appeared that they had been previously cooked and then slightly heated up before they were served. The short stack I ordered was three pancakes that were stuck together so I wasnt even able to spread the butter on the bottom two pancakes and the top cake was not warm enough to melt the butter. I had to use a knife to cut the pancakes and was only able to eat a portion of the middle of the stack as the outside edges were tough and hard. The servers were friendly, but the cooking technique was sorely lacking. I will never return to this restaurant again to waste my money on cold, unappetizing and food that had no flavor. Even all four different kinds of syrup just tasted like sugar water with chemical flavorings added to the mixtures-very nasty!

We had a gift card that we used. I ordered a blueberry short stack and they were horrible. I sent them back and Rozie, our waitress brought me another pancake. Rozie was awesome. She was very attentive. She needs to change jobs and work at a restaurant that she can be proud to serve their food. I cant image having to deal with what she does.. We left her a nice tip since she handled things amazingly. It wasnt her fault the food was terrible. The second pancake was ok, for having pancake in their name I expected a fantastic pancake, not so much. The restaurant appeared dirty. The food took a long time to get. We will not be visiting IHOP again. It was expensive for what we got. Whoever put a single dollar sign for price must have done it years ago or they got their meal free. We saw one couple talk to the manager and walked out without ordering and they already had their water.

Awesome service, awesome food. Saw the overall rating and became a little nervous, but my wife and I gave it a shot. Not sure what anyone could possibly be complaining about here- it was great. EDIT: My wife and I think we may have gotten food poisoning with no other explanation than the food here. Its a shame, because we really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately there must be something unsanitary going on in the kitchen, or perhaps some cross contamination happening. We called the restaurant trying to get to the bottom of it, and in attempt to provide them with some feedback about how we were feeling after eating there. We were told a manager was going to contact us after getting our information, but that hasnt happened. In summary, if youd like to eat food that tastes great, but risk food poisoning, you might try this IHOP.
