I stopped by on my lunch break for the advertised "11-2 Lunch Buffet," only to find out food is not on the buffet table until 11:30. I walked into a completely empty dining room (no food or staff) at 11:00, and waited almost 10 minutes before a cook finally noticed, and came out to greet me. His extremely broken English took him 5 times to tell me the food isnt out until 11:30. When I pointed at the sign right next to me that said "11-2 Lunch Buffet," he responded with, "Eh...11...11:30." Between that and the decor being so cheap and outdated, OP ended up getting my business today. Sorry guys, be on time next time. People have schedules.

I went here not long after it first opened. I was surprised that there were not more Indian options downtown. Mirch has filled that role quite well. You do pay the "downtown premium" here, but its not terribly expensive compared to other places. The lamb masala--and lamb is one of the more difficult dishes to get right--was downright delicious. Highly recommend next time youre on State Street.

The naan was a little more chewy than Ive had elsewhere in town. Fantastic service, much better than Ive had at Maharani (nearby, comparable menu) Food a little more bland than Maharani, but cheaper. Good deal if you go for the lunch buffet, would suggest other places for a dinner date. If you order off the menu you may want to be pretty descriptive with your preferred spice/heat level.

Traveling through from northern WI to Lake Geneva, I found Mirch Masala on Yelp. Our 3 year old had wet his pants 3-4 times, making a 3 hour drive into a 5 hour multiple stop escapade. The short drive from 94 was worth it. Best Indian good Ive had in quite a while. Maybe the best saag paneer Ive had!

Food was neither tasty nor representable. Service was very bad they served soup bowl without plate. We ordered paneer bhuna but they served something look alike chilly paneer with lots of vegetables in it and vegetables were not even 10% cooked. And they served naan 15 min before gravy and rice

9.99 for buffet with goat curry , samosas and mango ice cream. Thats awesome. The place looks shady but the food us great. They had only chicken biryani on buffet so they accomdated a vegetarian customer by giving them a plate of vegi biryani. Thats good service.

Service was subpar along with the quality of the food. I ordered tikka masala and samosas, but found the tikka masala contained too much butter and heavy cream and the samosas lacked flavor. Highly recommend Dhaba in Middleton if you want tasty Indian food!

Charming little hole-in-the-wall overlooking State Street. You cant go wrong with the chicken Madras or the super secret off-menu Garlic Cheese Naan. Our waiter was fantastic, greeted us at the door and was extremely enthusiastic about the menu.

Well we ordered dosa ,matar paneer and naan.Too be honest the food was not upto the mark.Dosa was extremely cold.The sambhar had no taste at all and yes the matar paneer tasted horrible.Only the mango milk shake was good.

I got the shrimp masala and it was cooked to perfection. If you want a fast and easy lunch, go to their buffet, and you can get all you need including an appetizer and dessert!! Their mango ice cream is also super yummy!
