I am a Mother of the Groom, I choose Buca Bi Beppo in Eden Prairie for my Rehearsal Dinner with 38 guests. Many who I spoke to said that Id be sorry and that they are a not a good choice for large group partys. I took a chance on them only because the wedding was at Grace Church which was only 5 minutes away and I did not have a lot of other choices. Since reading all the bad reviews online now I can understand why I had a terrible nightmare experience on Friday night. First, the minimum number of guest for the "Wine Room" was 35 and Max was 50. I will tell you this, if you have one more than 38 in that small room you will be eating with some one sitting on you lap!! It was all tables and no way to walk around tables and talk. Second, we only had 2 servers for 38 and refills on drinks was impossible! We were served our salad and bread in a timely manner at 5:15 pm and at 5:30 when that course was done we waited and waited for the entree to be served. Dinner didnt come till 7:00 pm. I went and complained several times, wheres the food! They said they were having trouble in the kitchen and it was coming in 2 minutes. A half hour later I was so humiliated that I had to tap a glass with a spoon to get my guests attention and apologize for the wait! The 6 children under 5 were getting impatient!! Third, when the food started coming out the server set the huge tray on a unstable stand and the stand collapsed and all the bowls of pasta fell on the floor. We had two other entrees being passed around that where very dismal looking at best. When the San Remo entree was delivered to replace the other that hit the floor, it the veggies in it werent done, the artichokes and sun dried tomatos were not chewable. Guests thought that was the end of the dinner and even though I told them the desert is coming they had to leave. When the desert arrived half my guests where gone!! I will also want to add the worst thing of all. I was wanting to impress my new daughter in laws bridal party and out of town guests with a wonderful celebration. As Mother of the Groom I had a speech prepared for the end of the meal which I didnt get a chance to give because everyone was leaving by the!!!

We have enjoyed many meals at Buca over the years, and the food has always been wonderful. What we have experienced the last few times, is an inconsistency in the wait staff. Some of the staff have been very pleasant and have really helped you enjoy your evening. Others on the other hand, not so much. There is one male waiter that we have experienced and observed over a few dinners that falls short. He could use some additional training or maybe find something else to do. He can complete the task of taking your order and delivering your food, but it takes much more than that to be a quality waiter/waitress. I hope that Buca can recognize his weaknesses and make some corrections, because the level of dining competition in Eden Prairie is very high. I would be more than happy to share his name with the management is they are interested.

First of all, this was our first visit to your restaurant. After self parking, we walked in to what we thought was a carry out only entrance, again, never having been there, we werent used to walking into a kitchen. So we walked back out and asked the Valet (a very rude man with a beard and in dire need of a haircut) if there was a front door to the restaurant, to which he said "thats the only door I see". I immediately said to my 3 dining companions, Im never coming here again, followed with a few expletives about that unkept valet, smartass being the first! Everything else after being seated was very good, Food was tasty, our server Nik was absolutely wonderful. Found out during dinner, the valet is not a restaurant employee, some third party who obviously needs a better screening process in my opinion.

Horrible service. Waited several minutes at the bar to be acknowledged and after being there for twenty minutes, the bartender never served me my beer. She did remember to charge me for it, however. My wife received her beverage after watching the bartender pour service bar drinks and chat with the other guests for over ten minutes. Can appreciate when staff are busy and earnestly doing their best but this was not the case. The calamari was inedible. We had intended to stay for dinner but after a very unpleasant thirty minutes we decided to go elsewhere. Although the manager was aware we were unhappy (we asked two different servers to talk to a manager), he/she made no effort to approach us, apologize for the lack of service or try to accommodate us in any way. We will not be back.

My wife and I got there on a Friday evening, and there are a few things to note. The parking lot was filled, and there is no parking close by. They do have a complimentary Valet service, but I personally dont like handing my car over to someone else to park. The place was packed, and despite having reservations, we were seated 15 minutes late. Make sure you have a reservation! We ordered the Ravioli with meat sauce, and the food was good but it was supposed to serve 3, which was definitely not the case. The service was not great either. I would recommend getting there on a day when the place is not as crowded and your experience will probably be a lot better than ours, because the quality of food was definitely good!

Great food, kind and courteous staff but soooooo slow. We went last night for my birthday (my husband and 3 kiddos.) We waited over 10 minutes for a table because they had large parties come in and she couldnt overwhelm her servers. Which was fine, great team, keep in mind there where plenty of open tables just didnt want too many too fast! We were seated got drinks and bread right away. We placed our order and waited over half an hour for our dinner. So my birthday dinner became very stressful quickly. My husband had to go up to the bartender to ask for our check. Food is delicious but we will not be returning for anything other than carry out.

Honestly food was okay, but unfortunately service was off there game, we waited 20 minute for a pre-made overpriced desert to be brought to us in a to-go box. Lol go figure what did I expect good service or something. I still tipped 20% tho just like they expect, hope they all enjoy it, we wont be going back to that location again! We had to remind the waitress to bring our free bread, wtf come on now thats the best part of the meal. Just expect excuse after excuse after excuse because management will make up b.s too, they think customers are dumb

DONT ORDER ONLINE! ordered/paid online at 4:45pm. Showed up at 5:15pm, no food. They tell me the order didnt "pop-up" for them. They already had my money, and my kids were already drooling thinking of the spaghetti I had told them we were having for supper... so I wasnt about to leave. 40 Minutes later, I was still waiting for our food. We finally got our food 50 minutes later. I almost swore We would never go back there ever again, except food was so good. I guess Ill call my order in next time.
