Like being abused? I have eaten here many times & like the food but the last three times I went I had 1. a plate literally thrown at me by what other reviewers call the guy with the earring 2. the greeter refused to seat me until all the men in line were seated and 3. the guy with the earring started a fight with my father-in-law who was taking a group of 12 of us out for a birthday (really people, at $18 each you want to start calling a customer names because YOU didn’t serve the tea for 45 minutes?). I didnt understand the comments regarding the guy with the earring but after having to clean a plate of saag off my coat I get it! Why Im taking time to write this I dont know because I know the restaurant could care less. Good food if you dont mind being ignored, treated like a second-class citizen and assaulted.

The food here is really good, which I didnt expect to find way out in the suburbs. I have been here several times now and have not had a bad dish. The Mixed Pakora is a great appetizer with a very good mint chutney. My favorite dishes have been the Bangan Bharta (spelling?) which is an eggplant dish, and the Lamb Rogan Josh. The Shrimp Balti was also quite good, and I could name others! My favorite naan is their Peshawari naan (stuffed with cashews and raisins) and they have delicious rice pudding for desert. They have a nice selection of wines and beers and also have delicious chai tea. Or if you want something a bit sweeter, I would recommend the Mango Lassi. If you feel like eating at home, they also do take-out :)

Not typically a fan of Indian food and I was part of the crowd that instantly turns their nose up when spicy curry is mentioned and weird flavors as well as goat. I do identify as having an open mind to food so when one of my friends invited me to meet him here for their lunch buffet I obliged. The food here is genuine, absolutely delicious and pairs great with a Taj Mahal beer. Each dish contains savory spices and flavor to boot. Not once in my (now many) visits did any of the buffet dishes taste like they came from a buffet line. High quality Delicious Authentic Its on its way to be coming one of my favorite lunch spots.

I was just looking for a big lunch since i woke up late for work and skipped breakfast. Big surprise for me when i tried the food and it was amazing! I dont eat Indian food often so i cant really compare it to any others but i loved it. Waiter recommended i go there on a weekend and try some of their dinners they have, needless to say Ill be going back. If people give it low ratings because of customer service its probably because they think they deserve to be treated like Kings and Queens and are completely full of themselves. Staff was friendly to me and i was friendly to them and i felt there was no lack in customer service.

Absolute disgrace to the name of Indian food and service... Not only did many items on the menu feel like the same gravy was recycled for them, the food tastes nothing like true representations of Indian cuisine... This restaurant is a joke at the prospect of Indian food and should never be eaten at for a true Indian food experience. I am personally Indian and have lived in India for multiple years... I know what Indian cuisine should be like and this place gives a very, very wrong image about it to the public. Not to mention it sucks a lot out of the wallet too for such mediocre quality.

I could have rated it no star but the option is not available. I am surprised how can people rate this restaurant with more than 1 star. I agree the food is good, but its not at all value for money. Also the service and hospitality is pathetic. It feels like this place is run by goons. They have no respect for their customers, they dont listen if you request, they make such a silly face while serving you. There are so many good places to eat in Minneapolis, please do not waste your money for getting yourself humiliated by visiting this place.

The place does not serve any fresh food. The oil used to cook is of substandard quality. We took mix pakora and lentil soup. The pakora is just ball of chana batter .the pakora isnot hot. The chutney u get with it is from the supermarket not fresh. The lentil soup was pathetic tasting like it has been kept in the refrigerator for 8 days then reheated and served. We ordered Naan and paneer tikka for main course . looks like these people do not have salt in their pantry. Not even a average resturant ... Waste of your top dollar earned.

Customer service is pathetic.. The guy who is usually at the counter does not even understand that he is in service industry. When I asked him a few questions he handed me owners card and told us to call the owner. He seemed pretty irritatated beforehand and may god have peace on him.. But sad to say, this guy is going to ruin their business. I used to be at this restaurant like twice every month. I am not going there ever again. Food is good but I think it's important to be treated right too.

Im a sucker for Indian buffet. I think Ive been to almost all of them around the Twin Cities. India Palace is great but this particular location, for some reason, is absolutely the best. Its unassuming in a strip mall, but the spread is amazing, they have extra stuff that others dont, and the food is DE-LIC-IOUS.. like crazy. I never even write reviews and I took the time to come here and write this, because I want them to stay busy and stay in business! This place is the best!

I am a curry and Indian food enthusiast and had been long without my fix; on a whim I figured Id give this place a try. Immediately upon walking into the restaurant I was struck by how clean, simple, and elegant the decor was. I was immediately seated by a very courteous host. The service was prompt and professional. The food was excellent and had the flavor of authenticity. Delicious! Would come back and bring friends!

Excellent service and food. If you are looking for authentic Indian food this place is great. My wife had the chicken biriyani which the serving size was huge. She also had the garlic Naan which she enjoyed as well. I had the beef curry along with regular Naan and found there was more than I could eat. The service was great and the people very personable. I would highly recommend it.

It was very hard to believe that I wouldnt like lamb. We made very safe choice - grilled lamb and ask no spicy. The result was so hot... even ketchup coldnt help. To much onion with a few slices of green pepper and tomatoes as a vegi aside. Additional vegi meal was just very mushed potato, carrots and peas-pure starch. No refund or appology after complains. Never come back.

I used to go to their location in Roseville but the quality had suffered as of late. I asked the waiter why the quality of the food had declined and he sheepishly told me that the cook that had been there had moved to their Plymouth location. I believe it. The food here is the best Indian Ive had outside of India and Im glad I made the trip.
