Went there for the lunch buffet. Its pretty pricey for $15, but the food of the buffet has great quality. There was a mix of South and North Indian dishes, lots of vegan options. The highlight of the buffet was the goat biryani (there was also chicken and vegan biryani), and all were dum style. It was the tastiest biryani I ever had in my life, and I will definitely go back again. When we went on Sunday, it was completely full and the only people there were Indians, including myself. When you read the other reviews, saying that there were bones in the curry, too much spice, too salty, etc.... those are just coming from people that dont know indian food and want it to be made in an american style, which is wrong. The only thing wrong was that they only had custard and fruits for dessert, and i would have liked to see an authentic Indian dessert as well.

It used to be good when it was started just few years back. As of today, its the worst Indian restaurant in twin cities, particularly the Buffet because its totally bland, no authentic Indian flavor / aroma and any attempt to give suggestion to the owner will be strongly nudged off. Earlier on weekends Buffet they used to make aromatic & authentic slow cooked food & good Chicken Lollipop which feels like authentic India Chinese taste with decent quality chicken. But now they make totally bland, non aromatic, fast cooked foods & they make something called Golkunda Wings which are the most horrible wings ever in US with no taste, no spice (I am mean no aroma also, not just chilies) and no flavor also. In one world not recommended at all.

When the table was ready, after waiting for considerable time, the person behind the cash counter (may be the owner) pointed us towards the table with a finger. Twice. There is no point talking anything else, if the owner deems that basic courtesy is not necessary. Just because there were people waiting-in-line, it doesnt mean that cheque should be rushed onto the table, indirectly telling us that we need to stop eating and get out. The person behind the cash counter (may be the owner) was constantly staring at us, suggesting us to leave without completing eating. Horrible behavior. Even otherwise, no smile, disrespectful gestures, angry responses. He should be told, we are the customers and not vice-versa.

Restaurant is not always just a place to taste food, you should get a good service to enjoy the taste. We had couple of bad experience with the manager which really made us to walk out of the hotel in half way of the dining. The way how the manager treat the customers is really not fair. Doesnt know if he was really trying to make fun with his comments, but literally its not.. Personally the incident hurt me a lot as i was there with a group of friends and families. Even though we said him that the words he chose was not good, he was not even ready to admit it, by saying that he dont care about the business with us.

We ordered Cut Mirchi and Veg. Biryani. The "Cut Mirchi" gives was dry chillies cut and fried in all-purpose-flour. There is no stuffing inside the mirchi. The price of $5.99 for a deep fried mirchi in all-purpose-flour, is not worth it, or tasty enough to ignore health concern. The Veg. Biryani had a lot of white rice and visible traces of carrot. There was big pieces of potato (marinated with masala) tucked in, and masala paste. There were no other vegetables or spices, not even bay leaf. I will NOT recommend this to anyone else.

When Persis Grill was opened in Feb 2013, food was really great compared to other Indian Restaurants in Twin cities. However day-by-day the quality of food is decreased. Even the service is decreased. When you go for buffet, they never refill Naan (Indian bread) , starter and deserts. Food is becoming salt-less, tasteless. More use of Soda in food creating uneasiness after having food. Taste of Biryani is fading away which is their forte. Wish they had maintained the standard when they opened.

Best biriyani in MN. I would set that as a benchmark for Biriyanis. I would recommend visiting that place on a weekday and try a la carte . Do not go for the buffet and complain about the quality of service and food. You do not need any kind of service when you are going for the buffet. You get the best in class service on a weekday or when you going for a la carte. Dont expect more than what you pay for. I had been there more than once and I had an absolutely delightful experience.

I have been to persis today for buffet and was really disappointed. My wife was not feeling well and she was eating food slowly and after sometime all of a sudden I was given the bill for payment. I told she didnt even finish the food. Also they were charging $34 plus for 2 ppl which is the MOST expensive buffet in the cities.Given the variety of items and money they were charging it was not worth paying. The hopitality was not good.Overall it was disappointing.

I am from Hyderabad India, I know what top quality biryani tastes like. This biryani hear is not even close to good, it just appeared good. On top of that $17 for such less biryani is like charging three times more. I am from California and the normal tasting biryanis there are better tasting and more in quantity. One serving in California will serve two people. The biryani here will serve only half a person

A very solid Indian restaurant in Eagan - typical North Indian dishes and many appetizers from which to choose. I ordered chicken tikka masala, being the unadventurous American, along with garlic maam and veg samosas. All were decent - not spectacular. The samosas were too oily. The chicken was not as tender as it is at Bay Leaf. Overall this is an acceptable restaurant - I would go back.

Not that good food. Owner was like sir you have spent 2hrs on lunch. What do you mean by spent 2hrs. You should put a board that you cannot spend more than 1hr, and there were still empty tables. We are paying for the food and not asking you why are you charging so much, even thought the food is not that delicious. we did pay you that whole amount without asking any questions.

In the first few months of this place started, food was really good and went few times in a month with family and colleagues. But lately food not tasty as used to be and quality is also decreased. Recently I noticed half cooked chicken in Biryani with raw chicken smell and brought into staffs notice, again same issue after couple of weeks. Our group decided not go this again.

Truly a step above average Indian fare. You can tell they use fresh authentic ingredients, not frozen canned shortcuts. Real depth to flavors. Friendly accommodating staff. They treat regulars like family. Great addition to Eagan. This is where Id bring someone new to discover Indian cuisine. Top notch lunch buffet; they are busy for a reason!
