Ive always enjoyed Indian Palace until today. Came in alone for the first time without my co-workers and after my second serving was brought my check. It wasnt overly crowded like some days when I have frequented the restaurant. So remembering the lady who held the door for me, who I observed visiting the buffet more than once...I decided to take a stroll around the restaurant to see if I was overreacting; and, I wasnt at all. I was the only patron who had been given there check ahead of time. Of course, I asked the manager, who was the individual that provided me with the check...why I was given my check before I was finished with my meal? And he replied, Im not trying to rush you, please take your time. So I asked differently, why was I the only payron provided with a check ahead of completing my meal? And he replied, I have given other patrons there check ahead of time too? I asked what patrons...and he look baffled and tried to assure me it was no mal intent behind it. I thanked him and paid for my meal. However, I will not be returing because I quickly realized there was a subconscious culture at this location of prejudice.

Is there an option to give no Stars or BLACK STAR to say how horrible the food is here and the person who manages this place . It was my friends birthday and we ordered food worth $200. We did not have the food for a couple of hours as we waited for our guests to join. We were shocked when we opened the food to see it was already giving out foul odor. And when we tasted the food it was rotten. It seemed as I was eating the Gross Rotten Walkers from "The Walking Dead". When we called the restaurant they responded they do not care about the quality of the food and it is not their responsibility if anyone has food poisoning. Such lame management and I would suggest everyone not to visit this place. And if someone reading this review knows a Quality/Health/Food Inspecting authorities please report to them against these inhuman beings.

Love this place. One suggestion, go during the lunch buffet. You would get more choices (and amount) for your dollars, especially if you are a first timer. Staff is friendly, clean, a bit tight place, and the variety of food during buffet for indian food is great as well. The only negative thing during the lunch buffet ......it could be packed with people, and you have to wait in line. Not only to wait in line to be seated, but to wait in line to get food. I have to say is the size/space is increased by another 25-50%, i think it would beneficial. More cost for rent, but they could accommodate more people, and faster service. Imagine placing the food in the middle and people can grab food from left and right instead of from one side only. Faster service, more customers, and more income ??? hahaha.... Great food! recommended !

Im an extremely picky eater. I mean, if it looks questionable, or smells different than what I am used to, I wont eat it. That being said, I believe that everyone should experience India Palace. The restaurant is very small, and probably only seats 40 people at a time. Its very warm and cozy and looks very fancy, but is quite laid back. The waiters are extremely attentive, and very kind. My first time there I chose the Chicken Mahkani, which is a fancy word for Buttered Chicken. It is delicious. I ate all of it, which is a lot of food. You also are able to chose your spice level, and the waiter talked be out of a level 3 to a 2, stating that the 3 was hot. Had I not been so hungry, the 3 would have a been fine. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, picky or not.

Great Indian food, beautiful restaurant, convenient location! Theres a variety of veggie, chicken, beef, and lamb based dishes. I believe the food is South Indian in origin, but am not sure. Very nice interior inside the building. Not a whole lot of space, yet I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes for a table (even on Friday/Saturday night). Dishes are moderately priced, around $10 for veggie dish and a few dollars more for meat. Try the lunch buffet if you want to get the most bang for your buck, or youd like to test a few dishes.

Pretty good for the money.....great variety on the menu. Wi85sh they offered more spicy dishes but not many will risk curry burn in the MN. (Do many in MN like spicy food?) The buffet for lunch could be bigger with more offerings but its inexpensive so what else can you ask for? Its still pretty darn good. If you can afford it go for dinner and try everything, it can get pricey this way but OH SO GOOD. Weve been back a few times....it might be worth it to find a coupon and go for dinner next time. Their naan is excellent...!

Love Love LOVE this family owned and operated restaurant!! I frequently eat here on my way to Woodbury. Its conveniently located, easy to park and even easier to order. I highly recommend the lunch buffet (flavorful but not spicy) for a first timer to get a broad idea of Indian cusine. Having said that the lamb biryani, shrimp vindaloo, chicken josh, garlic naan, mango chutney are simply delicious. Try it!! You wont be disappointed!!

I asked for a biryani dish that the waiter said could include prawns as well as chicken. The chicken in the dish tasted old, as though the dish had been reheated from a previous day, and I found a potatoe with a rotten eye still in it. This is NOT what one would expect from such a pricey and upscale restaurant. I told the manager and was comped on the cost of the meal, however I will not eat there again.

Delicious food here! There are always tasty vegetarian options for me. The waiter was polite and not overly intrusive but kept our water full and got our orders perfect. They can do spicy, they can do mild, but its all flavorful and delicious! I couldnt finish my entree and the waiter brought me a to go box with extra rice in it, without me even asking! So nice! This place is amazing.

Weve eaten at India Palace (Woodbury) for years. Ever since the kids were little and one or two orders of chicken makhani did the trick. Now we usually get five. Weve had the buffet, eaten in, and taken out likely more than a hundred times and weve always been very happy with the food and our experience.

Bland, boring buffet. Indian food for whitebread Americans who live in places like Woodbury. The only meat was chicken, the palak paneer tasted like baby food. Not even the pickles had any flavor, if you can believe it. I thought Indian food was supposed to contain spices.

Just had lunch at this place. While eating a chicken piece something hard I felt and thought a bone piece. But to my horror it is a piece of iron in the chicken! When showed that yo restaurant manager they are just normal, took the iron away and did not turn again!
