I dont know if its the timing, but I have to to say its one of the worst Indian restaurants Ive been to. Ive had Indian all across North America. We went on a Saturday evening and only 2 tables were occupied (the restaurant has at least 15 full tables). All the dishes were bland eventhough we asked for spicy. The vegetables were all McCain frozen veggies (the signature carrot ripple gave that away + some of the veggies were frozen inside). The naan bread was decent and so was the mango lassi. The owner and the waiter would look outside the window every ten minutes to check up on their car (I asked why and they said its because of the area, they need to keep an eye for thugs breaking into the cars). The paycheque was already at our table before we even finished our main course (maybe they wanted to close early? But it was only 8pm .. on a Saturday). They brought us empty containers for us to pack our own food. We didnt have the heart to send everything back so we packed it all and threw it out in the parking lot. All in all .. not recommended. Taco Bell would have been more appealing.

First time we planned to go to this restaurant on my friend’s birthday treat. But it was really very bad experience. I will never go again to this restaurant, never ever… There only few items are good like naan and plain rice, rest all items are not made for Indians taste buds. They server beef also (be careful), I do not prefer any Indians (especially Hindus) to go to this place for Indian food. Though every other aspects of this restaurant are ok, but the taste is not at all good as other Indian restaurants in the city. Even I found for few dishes the quality is also very poor. Usually we go out to have tasty food, but this Indian restaurant is below expectation. There are very few (1 or 2) entries for starter, not many verities in the main dishes and dessert are just for name sake. Finally I felt this restaurant is not meant for Indian food lovers and also not for Indians…I guess the RED stars are because of people those who are new to Indian foods...

I didnt expect something in Brooklyn Park to sweep me off my feet, but it did. We went twice, and its so good. The naan is soft puffy and delicious. I got tikka masala, and its the second-best Ive had (the first best cost $70, so this one wins overall). Our food came piping hot and very fresh. My dish was perfectly spicy without adding any heat (as is optional). Each dish weve had is enough for two meals. I love the pakora and the samosas, both are savory and rich. The only thing is that I can see why some diners feel pressured to eat fast and leave. The wait staff is very attentive and at night when theyre not busy, this might come off as pushy. I think, though, this is really their attempt to provide good, fast service. And the food does come out very quickly. When we went, we lounged around for a bit after eating, and nobody seemed to mind. This is a great restaurant, and Id love to see its tables fill up

Chicken tanduri, chicken kabob and lamb dumphakh are my favorite. I come from really far away every week. wish this was closer to where I live... i must say bad location and i dont see that many customers. hope this place survives sand would be sad to see such a great restaurant go away.. I dont know why people are complaining. I saw one person reviewed the restaurant bad just because she didnt get the south indian taste. ummm... India is a diverse place with different taste in different region and the item they made is probably from different region than yours and if you didnt like the raisins why didnt you tell the waiter to note that...

Apr 18, 2015 Decent food, nice size portions. Ive been in town for a couple of weeks. This place is down the street from the hotel. I am tough to please where Indian food is concerned. Ive eaten at some of the best Indian restaurants in the world-and not all Indian restaurants are created equal. This is definitely not one of the best Ive eaten at. But the food is decently seasoned, nicely prepared, and has nice size portions. The price is comparable to most Indian restaurants. I really have no complaints about this place. I have not eaten the buffet. I have ordered only dinner take out.

Worst food ever! Cold buffet and no taste at all. These people are insulting the meaning of authentic Indian cuisine. Restaurant is covered with real dusty, old and torned draperies. Muddy carpet, brass serving bowls still had soap stains on them and I can go on and on. Poor mangement, the reason I say this is because people were replacing their cold food from their to go box into the fresh buffet trays that just came out of the kitchen. How unhygienic and ridiculous is that? And management failed to catch that. All in all, it was the worst experience I could ever have. Food was NASTY.

Bad service! I didnt even get to try any of the items on their menu because it took 10 minutes to get a waiter to take my order, another 10 minutes to get water and what measures up to a cracker to munch on. And after another 40 minutes of waiting, I finally approached the manager to find out what is going on with the food and service. I was told "Sorry", and to wait another 15 minutes and my meal would be free. I left instead, and I wont be back for dinner. Perhaps down the road I might give them another try with the lunch buffet thats being praised.

For all the shitty, bad reviews under 3 stars , go sell your soul to hell, all the times my husband and I came here , everything was amazing and still is . Food , wow ! Like no other place , Ive tried in Minneapolis, Maple Grove and no thank you :( , but here I can eat my one plate and be full. Its so delicious , the place is spacey, quiet and quite loving especially when I came on Valentines Day ❤ , my husband loves their food too. I give this place a 10 if I could. :) , the kind sir , who helps us all the time , always with a smile and polite .

I was in the mood for something a little more exotic, and had a friend with me that really liked Indian food. I did a little research and hoped to find a place close by--lo, and behold Great India! I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Great food, attentive service, glasses always full, and clean, ambient environment. Spice is fixed to your preference. A third person came with us--hes a VERY picky eater, and doesnt handle spicy foods well--even he liked the food!

Ive driven by this place like 100 times going to target always thinking "why is there an Indian place in Brooklyn Center". But lately Ive been eating Indian food downtown and now sometimes I crave it so I decided to give this place a shot. Its actually really good. I get the Beef Vindaloo usually and thats awesome. The garlic naan is incredible. I usually get it to go and the service is very fast. Now its just my go to place for Indian food if I am short on time.
