I went with my 2 sons age 5 and 2 on 3/24/15 at around 2:30 for a late lunch. Found out they will reopen at 4:30 so we hang out at Costco to try the free samples. When we get back at 4:30, were the first ones in the door. Long story short, even though there were about 6 customers in the entire restaurant, the service was horrible! Seriously, I can have some sympathy if the store is swamped, but to not be waited on for many minutes and not have my water glass refilled occasionally, to have to go to the bar and ask for a knife is ridiculous when there are so few customers in the restaurant. The food was average for the hibachi entree that we ordered from the dining area. We ordered a tempura shrimp sushi roll that was sort of bland. Rice in the sushi was off and I definitely make better sushi. Just be cautioned about subpar service and average Japanese food. I wont be going back anytime soon. Perhaps youll have a different experience, but I didnt have a good time here.

Stopped in today as they were opening to order 2 rolls and some noodles to go. Looked like it was going to take more than a few minutes so I ran to the drugstore nearby and when I came back, food was still not ready. More than 30 minutes elapsed from the time I placed my order til the time it was in hand. The cashier was inept "just coming back from time off" and had seemingly forgotten how to run a credit card. Could the delay be because of the three employees we saw walk into the restaurant more than 5 minutes after you opened -- guys who looked like they perhaps were going to be making our order? Will not go to this location again. Sushi was tasty but a bit mushy tho the rolls were large and well-presented. The noodles were pretty much flavorless.

This was the worst customer service and restaurant I have ever been to. I ordered the Hibachi Steak & Chicken with extra steak that was $3 more and extra chicken for $2 more no zucchini because Im allergic to it, with Hitachi chicken meal and Hitachi kid chicken that came out to be $60, when I got home I had about 4 peaces of steak and about as much chicken as the kids meal. I called them to report there mess up they said sorry and hung up. After a few calls they offered a $5 credit on my next visit and the owner got mad and hung up on me. I Will never go to this place again and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone else I would go out my way and go to the next place or starve before I ever thing of going to this stupid horrible place again

Absolutely disgusting establishment! They smoke cigarettes in their kitchen where they prep food! I have seen various employees countless times opening the back door, which is attached to the kitchen, and throw out the butts of their cigarettes! Not only is that against the smoking laws in the state but its extremely unhealthy for consumers! I will never eat at this location again, I hope they are shut down for this incredibly inexcusable behavior.

Atrocious service. Hostess didnt acknowledge us for 5 minutes and was quite rude when she did. In that time, another group without a reservation (we had one) that was bigger than ours was sat down and served right away. We were then told that the Groupon we had wasnt valid there despite listing the address right on the print off and so we decided to go to a different hibachi grill which treated us much better. Im definitely not returning.

Usually I would rate this hibachi grill much higher. Last time we had some issues. The vegetables and fried rice were extremely salty. The meat was perfectly prepared. The cook was young but did great job entertaining. The amount prepared for our table seemed light for the $25 dinner prices. Folks next to us had groupon location issues that sounded like a common problem. This location is coon rapids riverdale.

Osaka was wonderful. We took a large group of about 40 people with special needs out for a Hibachi lunch activity. The staff was more then accommodating. They were kind, friendly, patient and most of all fun for our folks! The food was top notch and the chefs were incredibly talented, and really involved the crowd. Thank you so much for a great and easy experience! All of our folks loved it!

I love all their food so much, I lick every plate. If only it didnt cost SO much $$$. I really wish theyd hire non asians to work there. Its very frustrating how they are so cheap, have a terrible grasp of the English-language, and how ungrateful they seem to be in our country. Every visit, youll have to hear that awful birthday song several times, and good luck using any sort of coupon...

We have been going here since it opened and the service and quality of food has never let us down. We are huge sushi eaters and have sampled sushi from all over MN, Chicago, Miami, The Keys, etc. We still hold Osaks to the highest. Their special rolls are always amazing and the quality of the food is top notch. What a gem to have in the Northern suburbs!

Food was good just a little on the sweet side for hibachi. Atmosphere was nice. Good spot for the whole family or a night out with friends. The entertainment was good ..esp like the whole sake drinking competition among dinner guest via chief and a squirt bottle. Lots of laughs and will definitely be revisiting in the future.

The food here is amazing but the wait time is not. I made a reservation for 6:30 and didnt get seated until 7:15. What was even the point of making the reservation if I had to wait that long? I wouldve had to wait even longer had I not just asked to be seated at a table instead of the hibachi grill.

It says right on the Groupon that it is for the Osaka on 85th Ave ONLY. Anyone having problems with their coupon did NOT read the print. That is not a problem with this establishment, but rather the customers who purchased the Groupon not reading. Food has always been good here for me.

Was promised a 10min wait I waited for 45mins with my fiance. Also I waited about 20mins for he waiting to come by that time I had enough time to read through the entire menu twice. The food wasnt the best and the service was terrible very unhappy will not come here again

Horrible, ordered medium rare, got it well done. My wife and I both ordered rice that was totally forgotten about even after asking twice. Dont go here if you want your meal the way you want it, go to Benihanas and pay the same price and get quality food!

I went to Osaka on a whim and it was great, The fried rice was the best I have ever had, the noodles were fantastic, and the rest of meal was the best meal I have ever paid for. The Chef was skilled and funny. I defiantly will return multiple times

I went to the Coon Rapids location at Riverdale village and our experience was horrible! The waiter who was serving us was very rude and short with us! The food was not very good, the miso soup was all broth and served to us cold!
