I wanted to like this place is cozy and comfortable but the first thing I noticed was a football game playing loud enough to be distracting away from the nice jazz music that was playing a tad too loud over the speakers. Then 25 herbs in the olive oil and another 15 on the bread with a bit much salt. The bread by it self was really nice. But plain olive oil would have been better or just balsamic. The red sauce I had was just OK it was rich and creamy but lacked any reason to not put my fork down. My meat balls were way too much like a swedish meat ball with a red sauce on them by them selves nice just no reason to finish them really. I would say that if pay $8 for this but at $15 a plate you feel a bit ripped off. I would say as a good effort for the stark landscape of restaurants in Bloomington this is OK in fact a tad better than most. But good Italian restaurant food wise your better off going to fat Lorenzos on 60 th and ceader. Im sure I wont be back here.

My family visited Minneapolis and we checked the reviews for restaurants near the Mall of America and found that the reviews for this restaurant were very good. We wanted a meal that was not "fast food" and family friendly. This restaurant was excellent in service, atmosphere, and the food was great. Limited menu but had all the main Italian dishes. My husband had the Luna Di Luna Special of chicken, shrimp, artichokes over cheese tortellini while I had the Quatro Fromage Pasta dish of 4 cheeses on tortellini. My son and his girlfriend had the Chicken Parmagiana. All meals were made with homemade sauces and delicious. The bread was fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant and would come back again when I visit this area again.

Have waited quite awhile for this restaurant to open up... It was well worth the wait! Everything is great, the food is delicious, everything looks and taste like it was home grown and/or home made, the atmosphere lends to having great conversation (no tvs really helps that!). Im not a wine drinker, but my wife said the wine is very good. Everything from the bread/salad starter to the chocolate amaretto cake for dessert was/is fantastic (I had the Chefs Special). It is a great little gem in Bloomington that we hope to frequent for years to come, it would be great if this place catches so we can do just that. Highly recommended!

I have been a fan of Chef Alexs food since the first night he opened Giuseppes in Burnsville during a snowstorm! Anyone who is reading this, that has ever been to Chef Alexs restaurants, knows what Im about to say. He is the most welcoming and humble owner that I have ever met. He welcomes every guest in with open arms, and makes them feel like theyre part of his family. The food is amazing and his complimentary bread and homemade dipping oil could win awards! If you could only eat at one Italian restaurant in all of Minnesota, this is the one that you want to try. I promise, you will not be disappointed.

Such a cute, quaint little authentic, family-owned Italian restaurant!! It makes you feel like you are in Italy, literally (as long as you dont look out the window onto the ugly city surroundings). The bread and olive oil dip is to die for! Literally the best Ive ever had, and better than some Ive had in Italy! Its baked and delivered fresh for each table. They have a small menu selection, but thats understandable for a small family-owned restaurant. Makes it all the more famliar. The pasta is delicious! Proportion is large and sauce is fragant and flavorful. More people need to know about this place!

Charming little place, small authentic Italian menu, wonderful food. Their freshly baked bread is always warm and crispy outside and soft on the inside. Ordered to go numerous times now as well as dined in. The mom (friendly hostess/waitress) & pop (chef) place is wonderful and is getting busier. The quality of the food is consistent and wonderful. They really give you great taste and great value. This is not a typical place. The food is authentic and fresh as you get. Its bread, a few variable appetizers of the day, about 10 pasta dishes, and a daily dessert such as heavenly Amaretto cake.

The four cheese tortellini was fantastic. The menu is small, but its clear they aim for quality, not quantity. Maybe 8 entree choices, and all come with a salad and bread. Let me just say, the salad and bread were like no other. I dont think Ive ever raved about a side salad, but this one deserves some attention! The bread was truly the best of any complimentary bread Ive ever received at a restaurant. The prices were also reasonable. The service and atmosphere were great. Im glad to have found this gem, and Ill definitely be back.

My wife and I ate there tonight. Our waitress was Ok but made no attempt at making us feel welcome. The food was good. The atmosphere was nice but we think Italian music would have brightened the room. I think the owner was there. At least the man in the white tshirt appeared to be the owner or at least the manager. Although he was making conversation with others never even said hi. We live very close and will try again. I have heard many good things about Luna di Luna and were surprised at our experience.

I ate here tonight with my wife and we thought we had died and gone to heaven. Wow. Its all I have to say. I am so happy we checked this place out, We will be going back with friends and family soon. Cozy atmosphere, hospitality here is bar none. I felt like family. Its was great to finally eat some place where you could tell everything was made in house and not just a warmed up package meal. I would highly recommend this place. I love it and will become a regular.

My wife and I decided to give this place a shot after seeing all of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. The food was good, but the service was below average, even though they didnt seem particularly busy. We ended up waiting a very long time to order, and then of course even longer for our meals to arrive. A pretty average experience over all. Will maybe give them a second chance in a few months to see if anything has changed. The sangria was very good.

My daughter and I decided to stop by tonight and was so impressed with this lovely place! Very charming and relaxing atmosphere with flavorful dishes and dessert. it was fun to see more new people come in saying it was their first time as well. the owners were attentive to what everyone thought of the dishes and the waitress was fantastic. We will definitely be back! Prices were very reasonable for the portions and how good they were!! Yum!

Luna Di Luna, a new Italian restaurant in Bloomington (88th and Lyndale)!!! Atmosphere is super cute and cozy! Meals are perfectly cooked, delicious, and very reasonably priced. Owners, Alex and Sana (Alex is also the chef) are unbelievably sweet and very gracious hosts! We will be going there and bringing friends there very frequently. Stop by and enjoy the best bread, seasoned dipping sauce, salad and pasta youve ever had!
