I made post-Thanksgiving weekend dinner plans at Prima to host out-of-town relatives. I was impressed by the way Prima feels like a "nice" place to eat, but doesnt go overboard on the prices. Youd never guess such a well-conceived place was tucked in next to the video store!! My relatives gave rave reviews of the seared scallops on risotto, the house caesar salad, the reuben, and the marsala reduction chicken. I myself had an incredible butternut squash tortellacci with caramelized pears and sage that I loved so much, I was depressed when there was nothing left on my plate. The atmosphere was nicely mixed, with some local twenty-somethings, some families, some couples, and some solo diners. What can I say, I loved this place and will definitely eat there again!

My family and I visited from Colorado for star quest national dance competition. We were referred to this establishment from friends of ours. This restaurant was AMAZING! The host was extremely friendly and the food was to die for! She made us feel like home and was very knowledgeable in the food they served. I dont know about everyone else, but Ive had my share of waitresses/hosts that arent familiar with their own menu. Anyways, it was a very down to earth, refreshing experience in any restaurant. I give this place TWO THUMBS UP AND 5 STARS in my book. If Im in town again, this is my place to go. Thank you Prima staff for a great experience.

One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants - and its almost always easy to get a seat here too! Food is mostly locally sourced and high quality. Its not over-sauced and heavy like the chain Italian joints either. Its a little off the radar with all of the bigger names in this part of the city (like Broders and their monopoly of 50th/Penn), but I think the food quality is higher, staff is far friendlier and its much more family friendly. Go in the summer when you can sit at a sidewalk table and watch the sunset.

A great Italian restaurant. Weve been here countless times and have never had a bad experience. We also order food for carry-out quite often. Its usually ready within 15 min of calling, so its a great for when you want fast, good food at home without having to cook. I usually go with the Cappellini Al Pomodoro or the Linguine Alla Sorrentina, and my wifes favorite is the Rotini Con Pollo.

Went here for mothers day. The people were nice and friendly. The food was not bad but honestly not worth the price!!!!!! We spent about $50.00 for 2 dishes and a tip. We didnt even buy drinks, just water. If you want a great place for a great price I would go with Broaders any day. I am not saying the food is bad , it is good especially the bread, but not worth the hefty price tag.

The food is top-notch and reasonable. Served in a trendier space, it would be in most peoples top 5 I think. The wine selection is friendly, but beer is excessively over-priced. Park in the back lot, call ahead for "preferred walk-in" (no reservations), and get the seafood pasta. The waitress said "they dont let us try that because theres too much seafood." Always a good sign.

I enjoy the food quality and the great service at Prima. Ive been here the past four years for my birthday (in addition to other times throughout the year) and the food is consistently great! Some of my favorites are the pot roast, the butternut squash pasta, the roasted pear salad, the chocolate decadence and key lime pie desserts. But really you cant go wrong.

This is my all time favorite restaurant. One, I absolutely love Italian food. Who doesnt!? Two, everything tastes so fresh. Three, the dishes are a spin on the classics. Whatever the chef is doing, it has my taste buds jumping for joy! I also love that its such a cute & quaint space! Cant wait to have dinner here on my golden birthday next week!

Prima is a smaller sized restaurant that really cooks! I have dined here many times with my family and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Orders are whisked to your table still too hot to eat. I love that! I cannot more highly recommend a restaurant than Prima. One of my all time favorites. You wont be disappointed.

Phenomenal food. Cant be beat. We loved the whole wheat ziti, as well as the butternut squash tortacelli (sp?), the Caesar salad, the beet salad, squash soup, and the linguine. I would not go anywhere else for fancy Italian food in this city and at this price-point. If the portions were a bit bigger, that would be the absolute cherry on top.

This place has such good food, sometimes it is hard to decide what to order. The quality of the food is very high, everything is cooked just right. Staff and environment is very enjoyable. If you are going here for the first time their lunch and dinner specials are always spot on.

Fresh farm to table Italian restaurant. We go here when we want something fresh to eat! They have daily specials that reflect around whats fresh from the farm and water. Some of the pastas are homemade as well. Friendly knowledgeable staff.

Great service and food. The Pappardelle Gamberi was outstanding. The Pear Salad was also delicious. The setting is very comfortable with Picasso prints on the wall. Overall, an excellent place for outstanding Italian food.

Youre made to feel like royalty. Love the hostess Amy, and the food. The roasted garlic appetizer is to die for. Also a very nice collection of wine choices for your farm to table selections.

Expensive and oversalted. It was decent food, but not worth the price. Im still looking for a good Italian place in Minneapolis.

The food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the roasted beet salad. However, their gluten free choices were extremely limited.
