Zuppa Cucina is not a chain restauraunt which makes it unique for us. Sure the food is great but I would like to start with the staff. There is such a kind crew working at this place, they almost make you feel like youre stepping into your own kitchen to grab a bite. Something that always entertains me is there are still people from Shakopee I know that have never even heard of the place.
Next thing is the food in how simple but delicious everything is there. they basically make for things very well. Sandwiches, salads, pizza, and soup. They are not trying to stockpile orders, they are trying to make things fresh for everybody as soon as they walk in the door. Funny thing about the door is sometimes that is about as far as you get because the line can be back that far at lunch time. I am a regular customer here so I like to go there often and tend to get the same thing over and over. But I still get different things on the menu from time to time and surprise myself at all the delicious things there are on it. I think it is all mood food. If you want something light and fresh you can get in there and get out with it and feel lite with a crisp salad or chicken wraps. If you want something warm and rich, there are things like the 3 onion potato soup or a pizza, to get something to settle you and make feel all comfy and cozy. Thats just my experience. Everything there is very well seasoned, even the bread and the pizza crust. The meat is by far bland and The greens are nice and crisp. Overall I think it is a top notch experience for being a little hole in the wall. You can call in order takeout and they also cater for parties and work. Now if you don't mind I will be enjoying mine right now, thank you!

I stopped in today for lunch and had terrible customer service. I go and try and get some lemonade from the fountain there and its out so I asked the lady who was serving food to other customers if she could help me and she checked it, told me it was out and said pick something else out. I asked if she could change it and she said "No!! We are busy and it wont be for awhile until we do!!" In a very rude manner. Then I have my mother go up to her and this lady was very rude once again and gave my mom a nasty look and raised her voice and yelled "We are out!!!" Then my mom asked if she could refill it and she said "No! pick something else out we are busy!" My mom told her we didnt want anything else and the lady turned away and left my mom standing there and ignored her. Which let me remind you this lady heard my mom. Then the cook who was back there I think he was a manager told us the same thing, threw his hands up and said he couldnt help us. We then became angry and once again said we dont want anything else and he said "well what do you want from me then?" After all this we finally got a refund and a rude look from both of them. Not to mention when this lady brought our food out she gave my mother and I nasty looks. I work at a restaurant myself and the way I would have handled that is tell the customer in a nice and gentle manner that I apologize about the lemonade being out, we will be able to change it in about half an hour but for right now we are very busy and that they could try picking something else out or we could give them a refund. (In a nice manner vs rude) Instead of getting yelled at, being ignored and getting nasty looks.

11/11/16 Very dissapointing experience today. Came in to have lunch as we always do but brought my daughter with us this time and we were treated horribly. Im a business owner and customer service is everything, I dont care how busy you are. Update: 12/10/16 Wow! I came in to talk to the owner hoping to positively rectify the terrible customer service we received on our last visit. I was really wanting to give this restaurant a 2nd chance but now I see where the terrible customer service stems from. Unbeknownst to me, Chris is the owner and was apart of the terrible service that we received last time. Chris was the one who was rude and hostile to my youngest daughter. His reply in an arrogant tone was "They were busy, he is the owner so he cant fire himself hahaha and I should get over it" I sure hope that he does NOT treat his employees like he treats his customers because without good customers and loyal employees he will not last long. Besides all this, this resturant offers a nice selection of tasty gluten-free food for allergy sufferers and there are some wonderful employees.

So Amazing, I dream of Zuppas food, when i lived in shakopee it was a near daily meal, now i drive 30 miles every other week (or if i i find myself in the area) the chopped salad is so good, and HUGE so you can share,or keep it all to yourself for a few meals, all the soups are fantastic but if you are a fan of tomato, you have to try the tomato basil feta, never tasted anything that could even come close to as good. if you ever see the Southwest Chicken wrap on special (not an everyday menu item) get it! it is my all time favorite! pizzas are pretty good, very fresh tasting, different than what you would get at a pizza hut. if you are thinking of trying it just do it! you cannot go wrong everything is really good.

One of my favorite sandwich places. The menu has great options - everything from gourmet sandwiches and bagels, to soup or pizza. I have trialed a new item almost every time and have never been disappointing. The value for money is phenomenal, they could easily charge more for the food the quality of food they provide. The staff is helpful and friendly, going as far as to remove garbage and trays from my table during downtime. The only downside is the size of the restaurant - during lunch or dinner hours the line can get near the door and you cant find a spot to eat; this just speaks volumes to the popularity of this local wonder.

These are some of the best sandwiches i Have ever have. I always get the half sandwich and still arent always able to finish it! The Turkey sandwich on ciabatta is my go to, and I hardly ever venture away from that sandwich. They also have some of the best chicken wild rice soup I have ever tried as well! The staff is always extremely friendly there, as well! Its only a couple minutes away from my house so I will continue to come back to Zuppa! Highly recommend

I made my first visit today and enjoyed a soup and salad combo. The Italian chicken noodle soup was flavorful and full of good things. (Note: It is typically served in a bread bowl, which looked delicious, but I opted for a regular cup.) The Greek salad was generously sized, fresh and delicious. Bonus: Their soda fountain dispenses Diet Mountain Dew. I will definitely be back!
