Do NOT go here if you want good food or an inviting place to eat. My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch and the buffet was picked over. The egg rolls were horrendous and the rice was dry. The food seemed like it came out of a box and was greasy and luke warm. The restaurant itself was not professional. BUCKETS of soy sauce were stacked in the corner and paper supplies were placed on shelves next to the eating area and not in a back room or somewhere were it didnt make the place look... Trashy. We were the only two customers at the time, and as we sat and ate I noticed how the tables still had dishes from who knows when strewn about, and there was a worker peeling raw shrimp with his bare hands at one of the tables. It was just offputting. When my boyfriend went to get more of a certain dish, there wasnt any left (which happens, fine) but when he asked the woman that I can only assume runs the place, she sent the guy peeling shrimp to the kitchen where he just heated up a small portion and scraped it onto my boyfriends plate like a school room cafeteria. If we hadnt been as hungry as we were that day, we would have gone to Shakopee to get chinese food, and I wish we had. On a positive note, the wontons were mediocre.

For a small town Chinese buffet it was ok. The selection was limited to your standard Chinese entrees that usually score big with MN Chinese Restaurant goers. They had Sesame Chicken(Very Good), Broccoli Chicken(Didnt Try it), the standard pork dish served with an over abundance of mushrooms(it was Ok), and of course Happy Family( this was also ok). None of it had much flavor, perhaps thats due to the local populations palette tolerance, but it was enjoyable. The price was super cheap too, $6.67 for the lunch buffet. Chicken on a stick, red chicken, or bbq chicken whatever you call it is usually a staple at these places and this place had nothing to offer, so big miss on their part. Finally the place was very clean however their was a child actually doing some of the work and he also setup shop in a booth out in the dining area. When I see that I always find it a little uncomfortable because I feel like Im intruding in someones home. Overall the experience was ok.

The food is not as quality as I was expecting. Much of it has been fried in dark oil--in other words, oil that hasnt been changed in days. When I was there waiting to order takeout, the person taking my order chatted on the phone with her friend instead of helping me. I waited for about two minutes while she chatted. Them she helped me without even getting off the phone! I know that theyre trying to cater to American tastes with the menu (and Belle Plaine isnt going to have a lot of people who want ethnic food), but I would do almost anything to have more authentic Chinese cuisine available--some duck, some fish, some feet, scallion pancakes, and lots of noodle soups. Anything but broccoli, anything but meat fried in dark used oil. They have a chance to do a good job with this food that they receive frozen from a truck. They seem to neglect it, like with the dirty oil.

It appears to me that this restaurant is floundering and the quality of the food is suffering. Nice people, very polite and helpful but the food lacks flavor and the veggies are mostly celery and/or mushrooms. The Pea pods are non existent as are the carrots, broccoli etc. Too bad it is the only Chinese food in Belle Plaine. I hope they reconsider skimping on quality ingredients and start preparing their dishes with fresh vegetables to add flavor. I have visited this establishment 4 times and tried a different entree each time.

We dont care for their buffet, there isnt enough foot traffic for the buffet to kept fresh. We LOVE to order in, though. Shrimp LoMein, Cream Cheese Wontons, General Tsaos Chicken (although they are a bit heavy on the sauce) are all winners! If you go there, you really have to pay attention to the time of day. That is why ordering for delivery is best, they make everything fresh especially for you.

Food was gross. We got the sweet and sour chicken and the kung pao chicken. The sweet and sour was soggy and almost all bread! The kung pao was almost as if the chicken was ground instead of chopped. We were so very disappointed and wont be ordering from them again. Its a bummer it is the only asian food in Belle Plaine! :-S

Very disappointed! I should have known better when there werent any cars in the parking lot. They only had a very small amount of things on the buffet. It was all leftover items from the day before. The lo mein was cold. They arent busy enough to have a buffet. I was craving Chinese too. No white rice????

Far and away the WORST chinese food in the history of mankind. We stopped there for supper on our way home from Canterbury Park. Ordered some "chicken". It shouldve been called "rubber", as we could bounce it off the table. Horrible service. Food was rotting out back door. Place should be shut down.

Service is slow, food is not very good. Not busy enough for a buffet to really work. Weve went several times and I want this place to be good, but it just doesnt seem to be working out. My kids really like it for some reason, but my wife and I try to avoid it.

I love the fact that we have a Chinese restaurant in this town and most of their food is delicious, but their chicken is always hard and dry! Example: orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, general tsos chicken, etc.

For nine years this has been my favorite Chinese Food. The family that runs it are very nice people. Love the egg rolls, egg drop soup, chicken lo mein, and beef and broccoli. We always order takeout.
