Let me start by saying I hate reviews because I feel most are written based on a single bad experience and typically out of anger. I have been to this location 3 times. I was a regular at the Cedar Rapids location, which was nothing short of spectacular. However, at this establishment, Ive gone with my special lady friend each time and it has come to the point that I will no longer try. First time we went, it was maybe 50% capacity. We were seated in the bar, my wife was pregnant, and the seating was not ideal. Service was slow, (~1.25hrs from start to finish) as there appeared to be a single server for the entire area. Food was as I remembered (if you dont know about the garlic fries, you dont know what youre missing). Second time, it was much busier and we were again seated in the bar. This was now really odd. I looked and noticed that the entire main restaurant was filled with people with children, and if you had no children, you were apparently sent to the bar. Frustrating, as my wife was still pregnant and getting up to those stools can be a pain. Service was even worse, as from start to finish it was more than an hour and a half. Third, and last time, again 50% capacity. We were yet again taken to the bar (nobody ever asked if that was okay with us), and my still pregnant wife said "we would like to sit in the main dining area." The staff seemed confused, but obliged. We sat at a table, still noticed that every other table had children, and never got so much as a drink request in 35 minutes. We walked out. Went across the street to fuddruckers. I seriously hate it that the service is the reason for me to choose alternative dining locations, but my confusion at their seating strategy and nearly invisible service has taken me beyond frustration. Food is 4/5 Service is 0/5, and this is not an exaggeration

Terrible. Dont come here with a group of kids. We had 4 adults and 5 kids. Waited 40 minutes (which was fine, I get it. Friday). We ordered out food at 6:40. Our food arrived at 7:51. It took 1 hour and 11 minutes from the time we ordred to the time our food arrived. Several of the burgers were scorched and terrible. Several were actually really good, The Mac Cheese for the kids was cold and had to be sent back and nuked. We were not happy after dealing with 5 hangrey kids for a hour. The manager Shawn (id# 431651) came over and told us his system didnt get the order for 30 minutes...??? I told him I didnt care about the money. I explained I eat at Red Robin 2 times a month and that this was the worst experience Ive ever had. I said Shawn, Do you think we should pay full price for this meal after sitting at the table for an hour and 11 minutes? He comped our bill $10. He said, do you want me to do more? I said dont worry about it. I will never go back to Red Robin again. I could care less about the price of the meal. They just lost two families as customers and everyone else that we share our negative experience with. Unless it is a Wednesday at 3:52 in the afternoon, DO NOT GO TO RED ROBIN EVER! If a manager named Shawn (ID #431651) is on duty, do not expect ANY type of customer service. Go to FUDRUCKERS. They are across the street, the food is ever bit as good, but the time and service is 1000 times better!

Came here for my husbands birthday. We had a coupon for a free birthday burger and a $10 gift card we got from the last time we went because they couldnt make our burgers right. We thought wed give it another shot. The waitress ignored us after we only ordered water & gave much more attention to tables who ordered alcohol. There was even another table we saw our waitress refill her water glass r times while my husband needed a refill. Poor service. We didnt see her until after we were almost done with our food. My husbands fries were cold, mine were burnt. Our burgers were thin and usually the burgers are much thicker. The waitress said they are the same size theyve always been, but thats not true. So I guess the customer is NOT always right at Red Robin. The burgers seemed greasy & thrown together. More bun than beef. It took forever to get our check, too. Luckily our burgers were already free. Just had to pay for my daughters kids meal, which she did not get as much mac&cheese as usual. Just disappointing all around. Wont be returning after this. Used to be a great place to eat, but has really gone downhill. Too bad.

Ordered the Buzzed Mac n Cheese Tavern Double with garlic herb steak fries and faced two problems: 1. They threw on the garlic for my fries, but not the cheese or herbs--okay, easy fix, not a big deal... But when I split my burger with my husband, there were a total of SIX elbow macaroni between us. I had yet to mention that the burgers appearance resembled McDonalds Big Mac--even tasted like it--but smushed. The double patties were torn apart and there was a lack of lettuce and tomato as well. The whole thing was falling apart as soon as I touched it. We were displeased and had the manager come talk to us. I didnt want to wait for a new burger to be made, so I went with the second option of getting a thing of mac n cheese to put on the burger myself. The manager came back with a salad dressing sized cup with said mac n cheese. I understand that pictures on the menu and food commercials are perfected to look appetizing, but the real deal was far worse than I had anticipated. Please do yourselves a favor and not order this burger.

Some of the food is good and the server was excellent. The manager didnt seem to care. My wife and I ordered burgers off their specialty menu. She ordered the Buzz Mac n Cheese and I ordered the French Onion Burger. We both ordered the garlic and herb (comes with parmesan) fries. When our food arrived, there was only garlic on my wifes fries. The server was quick to bring us out more fries. My burger was fine and I split it with my wife. They cut my wifes burger so we could split it as well. When we seperated the halves, we noticed there were two noodles in her half and a few in mine. I got up to inform the server and she brought the manager out. He informed us that there were supposed to be two ounces of mac and cheese. It was more like a big mac with fresher ingredients and they accidentally dropped some mac and cheese in the burger. They brought us out the tiniest sauce container with mac and cheese and didnt even comp us on the meal that they seemed to care so little about. This is a joke.

Today my friend and i ate here. We ate at the bar because it was a 45 min wait. While we waited for 20 mins just to get our drinks we saw 4 or 5 open table that did not get sat tell we left over a hour later. While we waited for the food we asked for some " bottomless " frys to go with our shake and were told "that our food wasnt ready and she would see if there was any" The hamburger we had looked disgusting. And looked like it came out of a box of premade hamburgers that you can get from McDonalds..... then after both my friend and Ionly had two bits of the hamburger and complain we were told that she could have the cook make another one, keep in mind we have already been there over a hour just waiting for the food. She didnt offen to take off the hamburger and we had to pay full price for a sandwhich we didnt eat and were very unhappy with. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Horrible service as well at the bar.
