I wasnt quite sure what to expect from a small, somewhat out-of-the-way restaurant like this one. I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised. The service was very good. Ours was a larger party because we were celebrating a special event. Our table was ready when we arrived at our reserved time and we were seated immediately. Our server was very attentive, but not pushy. She had great timing for drinks, refills, taking orders and delivering what we asked for. The decor was very nice. I love the Sistine Chapel reproductions on the ceiling. The food was amazing. I had the Veal Parmesan. It was cooked just right and had a lot of great flavors. I had spaghetti on the side, and was expecting something with just some noodles with a dab of meat-flavored sauce. What I got was a very generous helping of pasta with a delicious sauce and meatballs. It was very, very good. One downside to this place: They dont serve liquor of any kind right now. Apparently they are in the process of working on getting the proper licenses in place. Thats not a deal breaker to me, but it might be to you. I highly recommend Magdaleno. Next time Im in the area, it is certainly on my list of places to visit.

Worst dining experience ever. After being seated we waited 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. Once we ordered we waited patiently for our soup and salad. After another 15 minutes passed, a group of 12 was sat. They ordered their drinks, got their drinks and we were still waiting for our soup and salad. There was only 3 of us. We did get our bread and whatever the white dipping sauce was. However, I will never know what that white dipping sauce was because it was pretty obvious by the filthy spoon and crumbs in the dipping sauce that this was taken from a previous table that used it and was given to us! The place is small with 20 waitress running around but yet they obviously could not keep up with the leas than 12 tables that were occupied. I was very disappointed. U remember coming here when it was Sammy Vs and enjoyed it then. I was hoping for an equal experience with this new place. We walked out. I was not spending my hard earned money in a place that very obviously does not appreciate it. Its too bad because the place does look beautiful. If only they cared as much for their patrons.

Downward spiral cant see them staying open much longer,,,,SERVICE IS A DISASTER 07/13/14 • DOESNT LIKE IT EDIT DINER FROM DETROIT • Ms Becca • 21 Reviews What a joke over the last 6 months this place has went to the dump,,,a wasted experience not once but twice no one gets a third chance I assure you. This lady who calls herself a manager needs to find a new career she cant handle it, spends way to much time gabbing with so called friends. The out of control non caring wait staff is the blame of a lazy manager,,,since the Chef Ernesto has taken on a partner the quality of the food has gone down hill, many review sites have turned on the once popular eating spot which I blame the manager and owner partner for ruining a great thing. I give them 6 months as the word gets out about the service,,,the manager needs to be removed ASAP to give the place at least a chance since she doesnt have a clue. Food now is just ok,,prices way up since opening and Wyandotte has 10 new eating spots open in a year,,,only the strong will survive and sadly this one wont

My favorite Italian restaurant. Tonight, I had one of their specials, Roasted Branzino, a sea bass served in a delicate white wine, butter, lemon sauce with capers and grape tomatoes. I savored every bite and Im remembering it again with delight. The vegetable side was roasted potatoes, summer squash and asparagus spears. I started the night with my usual glass of the Valpolicella by Luigi Righetti, an Italian red with a wonderful earthy bouquet that goes with much of their menu. A Pinot Grigio would have worked with the Branzino, but I love reds. The chef creates great puree soups; tonights roasted vegetable puree met that standard. My wife had the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken. She noted how generous they were with the chicken. Speaking of generous, we took home four boxes. In addition to the two of us, my wifes parents enjoyed their Veal Piccata. Bottom line, Magdelanos will not disappoint. Buon appetito!

This restaurant is a pleasant surprise. This building formerly was known as Michaelangelos but their menu is a lot different now. New owners, new chef, etc. I have had their Chicken Parmesan twice now and it is wonderful. Their bolognese meat sauce is excellent and tastes so home made. My husband had the lasagna and loved it!! Their dipping sauce for their bread is really good. Their house salad is chopped and the house dressing is great! The house Merlot hit the spot also. It is a really comfortable place to dine and the service is great. I wouldnt hesitate to book a party in their private party room. Would be nice for a small shower or a retirement dinner. Hope to try more of their menu items soon.

Exquisite dining at an comfortable price. Magdaleno owner and chef, out-performed himself with precision. Food was "top-notch" and perfectly seasoned with every bite that was just as appealing as it was immensely savory. From the decor to the impeccable service, Magdaleno provides a bold yet sensational taste to Italian cuisine. I would deeply recommend Magdeleno to others as they would clearly miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime. My personal compliments to the server Julie, whos exceptional service is recommended above all. The lavatories are crisp and Clean, and the women will definitely love the complimentary lotion from bath and body works after their wash.

The food was very delicious the hospitality was also very friendly. The only one downside I had to my experience was the bill. When I change my chicken parmesan to have alfredo sauce instead of a red sauce There was a $4 charge. I think that sauce regardless if its red or a white sauce should not have an additional charge just for changing it. Adding extra toppings also was a little more expensive $3 for each additional topping like the mushrooms I ordered with it. Because of these differences and how they decide to Bill I will not be coming back.

My husband took me here for our 2-year anniversary on a Sunday night in August. We sat outside which is decorated beautifully. The hostess gave us a number of great recommendations and the food was spectacular. My only hesitation giving this place 5 stars was the cleanliness. They did not bust tables in a timely manner which attracted bees and the silverware and cups were not that clean. I chalk all of this up to being outside but I would really LOVE to see them up their game a little bit.

The food was okay but the booths are very tight and everything was very salty. The shrimp and calamari appetizer only had two small shrimp and the bread basket had two thin slices of bread. The salad was chopped as if it was shredded for tacos. The service was fine but my plate was smothered in so much runny sauce that I couldnt even see the pasta under the chicken. It was okay but I can imagine going again. The prices are reasonable.
