The first time I went there with a coworker for lunch we took the food with us. The lunch specials were a bit on the pricey side and they did not give us a drink to go, even though the menu stated our meals came with a drink (with one free refill), and they did not give us any kind of discount considering we got less product. The food was decent, though, as was the service (I had tacos). I wasnt planning on going back but did stop by the other day for lunch as I was in the area and didnt want fast food. I was glad I did as the sit down experience was much better. Great chips and salsa and the chimichanga I had was absolutely delicious. The bill came, however, and the $7.50 menu price (drink included) had been changed to $7.99. I asked about it and they said they hadnt updated their menus. Overall I would say that I may be a bit of a stickler on the pricing issues and wish I could give them four stars (based on the food and service) but I expect a bit more integrity than what I was shown on both visits. The take out experience was not revealed until we had already paid and were leaving with our food (where are the drinks?). I am not planning on going back because there are places in the area that have comparable food and service without the deceptive practices.

This was my first visit here. I had driven by several times but I had never gone in. The place is small and unassuming. We got seated promptly and we got our chips and salsa. There was green mild and red medium and hot. The salsa was homemade and tasted great. I mixed the hot and medium to make a very pleasant salsa for my chips. My wife ordered the beef chimichanga and I ordered the beef grande burrito. When our orders came out we couldnt believe how much food was on our plates. It was so much that we both ended up bringing more than half of our meals home. I really enjoyed my burrito and the rice and beans. My wife liked her chimi but she likes to have chunks of beef instead of ground beef. She also didnt care for her beans but I thought they were good. I think that we will come back and try it again.

We go the parking is full we go in its full of patrons were all geek up to eat . We be drinks salsa chips. Were eating a big roach was on our plate of cheese My daughter is screaming. I smashed it with the napkin. Another woman saw it. I went and told the front they acted like no speak English. I couldnt wait to speak to no one I was too busy chasing my pregnant daughter gagging out the door. She had the baby 3 days later and early. Thats why it took me so long to review this place.

Five star all day. One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. If you are need to the real Mexican scene I suggest starting with barbacoa tacos MEXICAN STYLE. Dont you dare come here and get American style(ok you can do it but just try Mexican style one time). Also the food is very cheap. you can eat here for the same price as taco bell and this food is 20X better. Oh and one more thing try horchata. Si eres de México, creo que te gustará este restaurante mucho. Tiene muchas opciones autenticos y los maseros son muy amables. Los tacos, los tamales. la horchata, y el resto está muy rico.

Good food, nice staff, but VERY DIRTY INSIDE. THAT their biggest down fall. I couldnt get comfortable and relax and enjoy my food because everything was dirty, the floors, walls, hot sauce and salsa bottles, I could see how dirty the kitchen is a Mexican flag tied up soaking wet, food all over the floor, a vacuume right next to vegetables. Very dirty. Please put more pride in your cleaning and I will come back other than that good food and the nicest people ever

Basic but delicious Midwest style Tex-Mex. The prices are great, the service is fast, and they give you four types of salsa. This five star rating isnt in the sense that Mexico City Restaurant deserves a Michelin star but if you want the comfort of basic the basic Mexican style food we are familiar with around here, this is a fantastic neighborhood place to scratch the itch. The weekday lunch specials are a lot of food for $7

Good little hole in the wall, and one of the few places outside of downtown Detroit that you can get a genuine Mexico food at. The place is small but the service is big, as in big on the whole good service idea. The waitresses are nice and the food is delicious. My favorite was the deep fried quesadilla I would recommend checking it out. The one downside is that it is small and parking isnt the best.

The business manager and all the other people that work in it, try their best to give people the quality meal and also quality service the best that they can. I believe that as a small business they have done really good and will continue to advance for as long as they can. They work hard so you can have a great meal and go back to work with a satiated stomach and also work as hard.

This is our favorite Mexican Restaurant. The food is always good and the quantity overwhelming. The fajitas are exceptional. $1 Taco Tuesday is a special bonus. One unique feature of this Mexican Restaurant is their Chips & Salsa -- served with four different salsa. I like to mix a few together (hot, mild and avocado). Definitely recommend to family and friends.

The salsas to start that come out with your chips are very good and authenic. I havent had a good avocado salsa since leaving Chicago. The burrito plate is massive coming with 2 burritos made out of 12" tortillas and a side of rice and beans. Service was a touch inattentive but I did come in right around open so it might have gotten in the way of setup work.

I come here from time to time and the food is always good but Ive never considered it to be great. It is some of the best food in Royal Oak, but probably wouldnt stand up to the better restaurants downtown. Depending on what they are charging per meal would determine whether I took the time to go back

“Came Here for BeatleMania” Came to see a show at the Showroom. Parking - valet or self-park, its the same price $5. We had to park towards the other end of the lot. The good thing about self-park is that we didnt have to wait for the valet after the show and were able to leave right away.

Exceeded all my expectations for a typical Mexican restaurant. Service was great and friendly, my order came extremely quick, the food was delicious and more than i expected. I havent tried other Mexican restaurants in the area, but i dont think i have to.

My FAVORITE place. I think my hubby and I are at this restaurant at least once a week. I like the fajitas, he likes the chimichangas. Their salsas are amazing - try the guacamole salsa (yes, I said guacamole salsa!!) Its REALLY good.
