This is my new favorite restaurant. The garlic spread they brought with hot pita bread was creamy and had a nice garlicky bite to it. I had the crushed lentil soup, which is thick and so fragrant with spices, you simply must smell it before you taste it. My husband had the lamb vegetable, which is also fragrant, and the taste lingers and spreads in your mouth afterward. Upon tasting a spoonful, I couldnt help but exclaim, "Oh, my! This is SO GOOD!" I had the lamb and hummus. The hummus was creamy and full of flavor, and the lamb was tender and nicely seasoned. My husband had the lamb kabob, which was seasoned differently, tender, and incredibly delicious. The waitress was quick and friendly, and the manager gave us a free dessert --rice pudding-- because it was our first time. I can tell you that it will certainly not be our last time. Ill be bringing home a quart of that crushed lentil soup pretty frequently, and we will likely be back for dinner once a week or more.

While the food is a 3.5, the service and staff took this rating to a 4 for me. While waiting for our carry out meal with my 1.5 year old daughter, the staff brought her a cup of water and small piece of baklava - au gratis, and without me asking! Service like this is hard to come by and ranks high in my book. Niceties aside, the food was quite good, not too expensive and the portions were large (enough for dinner, plus left overs for the next day). Recommended: Shish Tawook, Hummus and Tabbouli, Hummus with Chicken and Shift Kafta - all excellent!

I used to love this place, food was great and staff was friendly. The last two times I have gotten carry out from here I was super disappointed. The first time I ordered the falafel plate, it wasnt cooked properly and the taste was not good. We also ordered hummus which was not fresh. The second time I ordered a chicken shawarma pita, thought that you couldnt go wrong with that. The chicken was dry and all it came with was garlic and pickles. Ive ordered this pita many times before and it came with other veggies on it. Wont be returning.

We loved this place! The Shish Tawook with lemon-oregano is fantastic. My son favors the swordfish ghallaba & my daughter likes both the baked kibbee & the lamb chops. There are extra touches, like sesame seeds on the pita, & a kind of Mediterranean salsa for dipping..The owners are very kind & if you become repeat customers, they are amazing at remember who you brought last & what people like. Once when my daughter was sick, he made soup to send home with us, without our ordering it. We are glad to have discovered it.

Last weekend I had Shish Paace cater the food for my sons high school graduation open house. The party was a great success, guests were raving about how delicious the food was. The presentation (of the food) was top notch, very creative. All I had to do was lay the trays out. And abundant! Lots of food. Great value for sure. All in all a wonderful catering experience. I would not hesitate to use Shish Palace on Livernois to to cater my next sons grad party in 2018. Thank you.

The food is consistently good here. However, the service is inconsistent and has disappointed several times. My colleague and I frequently come on our lunch hour. Today we sat down for lunch and were not acknowledged by any member of the staff for ten minutes. Since we were on our lunch break and dont have much time, we left. Disappointing since we come frequently and our business puts large lunch orders in with this restaurant. If youre in a rush, I wouldnt risk coming here.

First time ordering lunch for myself and coworkers. AMAZING. We were all very satisfied with our lunch orders...the bread is awesome, they gave us garlic sauce for each meal ordered, good portions (more than enough), it was very nice that for the salads that were ordered, they kept the meat separate. Everything was very professional and the inside of the restaurant was really nice looking! Very clean. Glad we found this place, will be going back!

This is my favorite Mediterranean food restaurant in the area! The garlic sauce is very tasty and creamy, and on the house when you dine in. Schwarma wraps are delicious, lots of meat and only $5. The owner is very friendly and appreciates his customers! The wait staff is always open and can describe the menu items for anyone new to the cuisine. Smoothies are top notch and carry out service has always been less than 15 minutes.

I like bringing my family here for a special treat. The food is reasonable for this style of entrée. The quality is good. The five stars come from the fact that after coming for some years they treat you with familiarity and smiles. Not that they,werent nice from the get but Japanese are not the most gregarious of people. Feels comfortable with great food.

I was very upset about the service of the waitress, very slow and they forgot my order, I was sitting there for 30 min because nobody type my name on the order, when I arrived at home I forgot this bad episode because the food its suuuuuppeeerrr goood!!!!! Please improve the service because the food its fantastic.

Been to the Shish Palace several times and had carry-out many times. Always a great experience. Well-cooked food, great portions, friendly staff. I have eaten at many Middle Eastern restaurants in metro Detroit. This is one of the best. Dont be fooled by the strip mall location - good food comes out of here!

Worst restaurant ever I have never eaten food that disgusting. This is not a Mediterranean food. To be honest it was not my first time there I have been there three times, I didnt want to judge from the first time or the second but today was my third try. My friends and I hated it so bad. I usually dont write reviews for places unless i really enjoy them. And this is no exception. I just dropped in here since it is one of the few Mediterranean places around my work. I was not disappointed. Great value for money, excellent food, outstanding staff. Cant wait to go back.

Absolutely delicious! Super smooth hummus, the best baba ganoush weve ever had, fresh pita and rich and tasty lentil soup. Smoothies were a hit with our kids - just fresh fruit and honey, so a nice healthy treat. Great service as well. All around fabulous meal, highly recommend!
