When I first discovered Chipotle back in 2000 while living in Chicago, I was highly impressed with the restaurant. The food was prepped fresh daily and it seemed the staff were advocates for their brand., very friendly and passionate about their product. A few years later when I moved back to Michigan, I was truly bummed out when I discovered that the burrito joint had yet to pop up in the state. It turns out that at the time, there were only a handful of restaurants scattered across the country. Today of course they are all over the place. And after a recent visit to the Chipotle in Rochester Hills, it seemed to me that Chipotle is suffering from what happens to most businesses when they get to big. Lack of quality control and an employee base that doesnt believe in what they do or who they work for. The staff didnt seem too interested in saying anything above and beyond the necessary words to get me through the line. The steak burrito I ordered didnt have a whole lot of steak on it and for whatever reason, just didnt taste like a Chipotle burrito should. It was also a bit difficult to find a clean table to sit at after to post-lunch rush, but I managed to find an acceptable one. I want to love Chipotle today as much as I did back then. Before I never would have considered going to another burrito joint, but now when Im in the mood for a big burrito, Im happy to alternate between Moes, Qdoba, Pancheros & Chipotle. To sum up, you can probably put Chipotle in the same category as a McDonalds or Subway - it is what it is. Decent food at a decent price, but theres no longer an experience or culture that sets it apart from other dining options.

This was the first terrible review Ive ever written, but well deserved. Having worked many years in customer experience and retail, I can only only describe the experience I had at. Chipotle tonight as "abysmal". While the food tasted fine and was quality, I didnt get a chance to order exactly what I wanted due to the rude, standoffish behavior, and the urgency of quickly dismissing my order as fast as possible. To start off, the female employee who was working the first part of the line acted very annoyed that I had a question about bowls vs. salads. I then tried to order two bowls, and the same woman and a man that were working the line kept moving each of the bowls, that I was trying to order items for, right through without waiting for me to finish what I wanted to add. They did this 4 times, and after the final time, I said "forget it, just package them up as is," paid for the bowls, and left. Ive never felt so rushed and unwelcomed ordering food, anywhere. The two employees working the line acted as if each customer were such burdens, and were trying to rush through work because they closed at 10p.m. (it was 9:32p.m. when I walked in the door), moreover, there was one customer behind me! I didnt catch the name of the two employees. This is the closest location to my home, but I will never go back here. I recommend the location in Rochester Village, have never had any issues there. Again, the food is good, but be very wary of the service.

Alright fellow Mexican lovers, I am going to attempt to write this from a non-biased perspective because being the knowledgeable food lover I am, I have been to a plethora of delicious fast-casual mexican restaruants. I am also going to try to write this in a brief but informative format. So lets begin. My experience began when I left work at noon for my lunch break. I hop in my car and I make my way to Chipotle. I ordered a burrito bowl and my server was a bit aggressive towards me. I do not know why. I say "Forget it Dale" he is just a low-level nobody, and I am a SOMEBODY. I am better than that. I drive a prius and I make 19 dollars an hour. My house is nice. My car is nice. I can afford nice things. I dont need somebody like that to ruin my life. I went to college MOM! WHY DO YOU THINK IM A FAILURE? I Have friends! Have you ever met scooter! SCOOTER IS A NICE GUY, YES WE ARE FRIENDS. I am NOT a looser.

The thing I love about Chipotle is their commitment to non GMO food and organic food. I read all the other reviews and I did not see this important point mentioned. I believe the value is exceptional as well. For $6 to7 you get filled up with healthy food. At a fast food drive-thru you would pay the same amount of money and get some very questionable food considering your Heather. I have not met an employee that I did not like. I thank my lucky stars that there is a good healthy place to eat. Nobody else cares if you get poisoned with pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers and hormones. I praise Chipotle for being an innovator

The food is terrible! Aweful! The staff are all teenagers...including the manager (if there is one). The soft tacos are like thin, wet, dirty rags. The veggie tacos are rice and guacamole. Really??! Who thought of that combo? We tried the online ordering system, and its just as bad as their food. You can only order one item. What if you want to order for your whole family?? Somehow we got the 1 item order to go thru since there is no SUBMIT button. We had to order the rest of our food in-store. Wont be going back! Where did you go, Baja Fresh????? They had the best fish tacos! Chipotle doesnt even have them!

this place is a joke, the staff has been high every time ive gone in. I manage a local business, every time we have done an online order we go to pick it up and we are told that they never received the order. like clockwork. this has happened multiple times. this last try i figured that by paying online it would make it go through for sure. i was wrong. now i am having to fight to get them to credit me for the food they were unable or unwilling to deliver. the food is great, its the people working there that are the problem.

Service is slow. There is almost always a wait. The staff seems to struggle to keep ingredients stocked. I cant tell you how disappointing it is to order then find out that they are out of lettuce or cheese. Of the 3 Web orders (to avoid the wait) Ive ever gotten the staff have only processed 1 correctly. Just seems like it could use some better management at this location. Spare yourself the frustration and avoid this location.

Worse service ever behind the counter. Sarah the hipster was terrible. She was so rude. God forbid you ask for something during checkout and they have to move 4 feet to the right and get you sour cream. Sarah with the gauges in her ears shouldnt be working there, its a bad representation. Terrible employees Sarah was terrible. Highly do not recommend going there. Go to the one by Oakland University.

On 7/22 my wife and I, along with a few friends grabbed some lunch. A few hours later every single one of us suffered from SEVERE food poisoning. DO NOT EAT HERE! I dont understand how this franchise continues to stay in business with people constantly getting food poisoning. Ill never eat at another Chipotle again. Its just not worth the risk.
