New Peking is really the best chinese restaurant for miles- possibly the entire metro Detroit area. I grew up in Livonia and would trek down to NP just for the Peking Chicken. The hot and sour soup is the best around- its actually both hot & sour, The egg rolls are fantastic, crab rangoon to die for- nothing I have tried here has been anything but fantastic. Now I live in Ypsi and I still drive out there occasionally. My friends and I got carry out there tonight and asked the owner how long they had been there... since 1983!!! If you give NP a try, it is sure to become your new go-to chinese restaurant- no matter where you live!

This restaurant has by far, the Best Chinese food anywhere within the metro area! The service is always Great. The servings are always bountiful, and the prices are within reason. Tip: Go to the back of the menu, and order from the Peking Family Dinners!! You get everything for one price!! The Sizzling Rice soup, Peking Beef, and Crab meat Ragoons are to die for!! (order the Peking dinner for two) Njoy!!

Try it yourself, the negative reviews must be from all the bad chinese restaraunts I have tried. This place is always good, everytime I have been there over the last 5 years. Tenderloin special is better than going to most steakhouses. Sesame seed chicken is great as well. Tried all their soups and prefer the wanton. Writing this review made me hungry! Medium soup bowl is as big as your head.

Ordered sweet and sour chicken, 3 minutes later they came out with it. It was cold and very hot. Which makes me believe that they cook the chicken in the morning and just reheated it. Which i went at 3 pm. The sauce tasted like BBQ sauce. The vegetables in the lo main were raw, tasted as if they picked them right from the ground and threw them into the lo main.

This place is a rip off! Thirteen dollars for less than two cups (measured) of Kung pao shrimp (mini, not jumbo) and seven (counted) peices of actual shrimp! What a joke! And they wont allow substitutions of fried rice instead of white, even though I asked to be allowed if I paid a few bucks more! I will never be returning to this greedy joke of a restaurant!

Great food, and great people. Family has been dining, and ordering, here for 20 years or so. Mike, and his wife are great people. They invested into the Garden City community, and produced exquisite cuisine. Sesame chicken here is always the best. No one else can beat their sesame chicken. No one else can beat the hot and sour soup either.

Me and my family have been going there for four generations this place is awesome never ever had anything even okay or bad its always been great no matter what Ive tried the sesame chicken is outstanding the bong bong chickens outstanding the Mandarin fried rice is my favorite go there youll never be disappointed.

The service was great! It was very nice environment clean and friendly. I love how they bring you a plate (made in china) and you serve yourself! The best Chinese food ive had in a long time! Everything was fresh and hot! The sauces for everything were right on point! Thank you, we found our new Chinese place!

Service was great. Food not so much , especially for the price. Seating is very close and crowded feeling. I always read reviews before going some where and decided to go ahead and order Sweet & Sour chicken. The sauce was more like a bright red jelly with no taste. Sorry , wont be returning.

I lived in Westland for the first 14 years of my life and saw this restaurant every time we drove down toward Garden City. I never went in until this year. The manager who greeted me was so friendly and the service was fast and the food was good. Food aside the atmosphere is really welcoming.

Been coming here for years. Their yankin chicken (I think thats how its spelt) is delicious and totally worth trying (if youre looking for something unhealthy) they have one of the best egg drop soup Ive had. Apparently its Mandarin style. Friendly staff too

I ordered the general tsos chicken and was very good.The chicken was crispy and hot. The sauce tasted like how szechuan chicken is made; Hot & Spicy like I asked. The menu says $9.95 ($10.55 tax) but was charged $11.61. Perhaps the price on-line is lunch?

Phenomenal! Ask for the "Asian menu" with authentic meals. Get the brisket or beef with chives & forget sweet n sour chicken. The waitress, Shirley, was very helpful. The style inside the restaurant is classy. Best Chinese food Ive ever had.

Rude staff, will not accommodate any special requests such as no mushrooms. I paid for a pop and asked for a to go cup and was told I couldnt have one?!? I paid for it?? So weird. Wont be back.

Food always amazing. The male server is always friendly but some of the other servers do not check back after we start eating until we are finished. If there was a problem they wouldnt know.
