I have been to Maya few times for dinner and once for a weekend lunch buffet. The food is tasty and the ambience is pretty good. one of the appetizers i like in this place is the Chicken 777 for its unique taste. However the last 2 times i placed an order for this item - i find myself spending a lot of time in the rest room the following day. Last night - i ordered for a chicken 777 and one tandoori roti to eat with. The chicken 777 was tasty aswell but i find the chicken pieces being very tough - they must be serving the old chicken taken fresh out of the freezers. I have been ill for the past 24 hours and i can bet the reason is chicken 777 from this reataurant. I am usually oretty good on diet - and never had these issues. I have known the owner of the restaurant too. He is a very nice oerson and well receiving. With this incident i am never returning back to Maya. Please make sure to ask them if they are using fresh chicken before placing order otherwise you might end up in the restroom for the next 2 days and with a lot of pain.

Food - 5 Presentation - 4 Service - 4 Wait - 5 Ambiance - 4.5 Price 4.5 Two bites in and my husband said "this is the best Indian food Ive ever had". The dishes were amazing. The paneer tikka anardana dish was full of flavor, and the vegetables and cheese were cooked to perfection -- the veggies were slightly charred and the cheese had a crispy outside and smooth texture inside. The saag was also cooked perfectly; normally the spinach and onions are overcooked to the point that they form one mushy mixture, but here the spinach and onions still have their individual forms. We ordered a unique type of naan, kulcha -- bread stuffed with fruit and nuts. This was an excellent compliment. We were very impressed with the quality of food and we cant wait to come back.

The Buffet is well worth $10 dollars. Being half Indian and from Hong Kong, lived in India, trust me when I say, its quite decent. Im giving it 5 stars for numerous reasons. The wait staff was excellent and very attentive for handling 5 tables tops at once. I was impressed with how clean the establishment was. The General Manager was engaging. The décor was on point. And the last point is that its easily accessible and in my home town. I would absolutely invite my relatives from out of this country. Mind you my Indian side is predominantly Vegetarians. Please do try it to enjoy for yourself!

Went for buffet. The goods: Variety of food was good. Mutton curry was awesome. Chowmein and Saag Paneer were good too. Best part they serve Naan on the table made fresh. We got 15% off for our next dinner visit. Next to commuter station. Very convenient if coming by commuter. Nice to see train while having dinner. The not so goods: Little on the expensive side, we got a place next to the kitchen and can hear all kinds on noise coming from there. Needs more soundproofing for the tables near kitchen. U may have to wait for naan as they make n server fresh n hot.

Review based on my first impression here. Im happy to finally see an Indian restaurant in Wakefield! To be clear, this is the fancier kind of Indian place, not the $8 styrofoam takeout kind; both have their merits to be fair. I got some lamb kebabs (I forget which kind) which were heavenly. The meat and spices are far better quality than Im used to, and it was cooked perfectly. The prices are a little high, but its scaling with the quality. I look forward to trying more things from here.

Did a takeout there on thursday night. Everything was excellent from the phone order to food. I loved my Daal Maharaja and Lamb samosas, rice was delicious, they do keep bulbs of spices in the sauce so be ready to bite on it*(its very soft to bite, but strong flavor) or fish it out. Overall, so far great experience, may be they even sell Kingfisher and we can stop by for a beer=)))

Great Indian food!!!They have been open two weeks and I have been twice. The owner Kanon is wonderful he is very attentive and always asks how we are and shakes our hands. I the tandoori chicken is probably the best I have every had, and the lamb samosas are great as well. Location is great right near the train in Wakefield, its great to get such a good eatery in that area.

Excellent food and service. Biriyani was just awesome and its probably the best Biriyani i had in years. Chicken wings and 777 was just amazing and great taste. Cheesecake for desert was so good and would definitely recommend it. I really liked the atmosphere/ambience and very friendly staff. Great place to have food and will definitely visit again. Bala

This place has one of the best Indian buffets that I have ever had. Dinner is excellent as well. There is a full bar and the beer selection is better than any other indian restaurant. Not because its fantastic but because most others are lame. They also have a decent wine selection. Come here for the food. It is GREAT !

So happy to have this quality Indian cuisine in Wakefield. Had fish pakora, samosa, ginger mint naan and chicken with maya special mango sauce. Amazing and attentive waitstaff. So friendly, clean and delicious! Top notch in everyway.

Great place. Nice staff. Extraordinary food. Loved the goat curry, chicken saag, fresh naan, egg biriyani, daal and everything. The best thing is they didnt overcomplicate lunch buffet with way too many items. Go for it.

Both my wife and I love the food at Maya. The food is flavorful, dishes offered at the lunch buffef change all the time. Service is excellent: fast and polite. We have taken our friends and they have all enjoyed it.

Great food (and lunch buffet) (I had veg stuff), Not sure if the meat served is Halal (they get meat from Sysco), friends mentioned that non veg was great too, friendly and courteous staff, very convenient location.

Our large party all thought the buffet was simply amazing for a great price! Very reasonable and great service! Must visit in Wakefield. Dinner on Friday night is also pretty good. Had some live music!

Best Indian food ever!! Had veggie Samosas, Madras chicken and fish Moilee with garlic naan! Great tenderness, texture and seasoning! Cant wait to go back!
