A friend raved about this place so much that we decided to make the trip out to visit him and grab some Five Guys food. As we approached the restaurant I thought it looked sorta tiny and lack luster, but when inside the smell of burgers fries and peanuts made me forget my worries, and the seating area is quite a bit larger than in looks from the outside. We ordered the burgers, service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was amazingly clean especially for a fast food joint. I didnt even look at the price cause I was so hungry, but some people complain that it is expensive (I didnt find it to be that bad myself after looking at the menu online) and some say the menu is small, and it is, but then again, its called Five Guys Burgers and Fries. They do have a hot dog option, and a veggie option, but if you dont like the above dont go. The fries are cooked in peanut oil, and they give free peanuts as an appetizer, and I love peanut oil fries. They also put your burger and fries in a bag, and then dump more fries on top of it all in the bag for kicks. All in all, it may not have been classy, but I thought it was great! You should see for yourself.

I have always been a fan of Five Guys Burgers and Fries, but I have come to realize that the service and staff at the Swampscott, Massachusetts location is absolutely terrible. I am not one to complain much, but they have consistently messed up my orders. To give you a better idea, I would confidently say that 4 out of 5 times, they mess up my order, charge me for an extra sandwich, and or are rude on the phone. I have been to other Five Guys locations and have not had a problem. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SMART STAFF, GREAT SERVICE AND OVERALL GOOD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE, EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE.

We dont have In n Out in Massachusetts, but we do have 5 Guys, and without the hype and hooplah, you just get a great fast food burger. Yes In n Out has better fries, but the 5 guys burger is better and if you know how to order it, it can hold its own agains the proverbial $20 burger. If you are watching your carbs, get the burger in a lettuce wrap, its even better that way. Staff is always friendly and they work hard to get orders out quick, which is good as its a made to order place.

I just came from DC, where Five Guys reigns supreme in the food industry. I got back to Salem to realize that I can still go to a Five Guys right down the street. If you go in while theyre not extremely busy, the man at the register is very friendly. If theres a line out the door, hes not. Big deal. The only thing thats keeping this review from being 5 stars is the fact that they never have any Pibb. I also dont get as many fries as I remember, but thats okay.

If it takes five guys to make a hamburger there must be a problem. Weve ordered from them for lunch and the burgers were just awful they wrap them in aluminum foil and with all that extra heat made the whole burger soggy. Maybe it would taste better if you ate there. Maybe if I go back there and give it another try Ill change my post.

Five Guys Burgers are the best. The fries are great too if you like homemade, fresh cut style. The only thing keeping this from a 5-star review is the value. Prices are fair but theyre definitely not cheap.

Fries were undercooked and the guy working the grill squeezed every ounce of juice out of the burger with his Spatula. The Pattie was dry and had zero flavor. I cant see myself coming back here again

My boys regular order: Hot dog with ketchup & Oreo-vanilla milkshake. He says, "best milkshake ever!" A bit pricey for fast food but you really do get what you pay for.
