Love this place. for a $21/lunch or $31/dinner (i think that was the pricing) this is a Japanese buffet. All you can eat Sushi/Sashimi (the only reason i come here) Oysters (dinner only) and other seafood. It is not the best variety of Sushi at the buffet but they do have some creative pieces, however, its pretty good. It is all fresh and made right there in front of you. Not all rolls are available for lunch, the higher value rolls may be only for dinner. Either way its good. The atmosphere is casual, very busy large place (buffet). May want to call ahead for seating on Friday or Saturday night, especially if you have more than 2 people. Even if you dont call ahead the wait is rarely more than 20 minutes. The food is very good. Half the buffet is cooked japanese food, the other half is a Sushi buffet. Everyone has something to eat here. They even have a crepe station for deserts that they can make with fruit toppings. The price fits the menu well, so no complaints there... you can ask them for their free rewards card... every time you spend $200, you get $10 off your next bill. However, if you have points on your card for the $10/off you MUST tell them to use that $10... otherwise they will just add more points for the meal youre paying for and let that $10 sit there... the waiter told us that they were told by their supers to not use the $10 unless specifically told by the customer (kind of shady)... Anyway, Im not here to judge their shadiness... only their food and wait staff. Waiters are usually very nice and there when you need them (refills?)

The place is over rated and over priced. The sushi there is far from fresh actually the least fresh I have had in the area. Osaka at white city in Shrewsbury and tomato in Allison slaughters this place in freshness.the two things that says the fish is fresh abd made right is if the tuna does not taste flat and the Dragon roll is crispy at Manado the Dragon roll was not crispy and the tuna was very flat like as if it was over a day old out of the freezer. For the price of 24 to 30 on a weekend it should never taste like that. At Osaka you can get 4 to 6 good rolls at that price. And unlimited amounts at yamato which is 5 stars in my book. Maybe yamato is 4 in service due to having to eat everything but at least its a real sushi experience. I grew up near Northampton mass they have an ask you can eat buffet sushi place there to called sakura. Its the same quality as Manado and same design. That place is 12 to 16 dollars all you can eat. It is also known just a place for quantity far from quality. I think people here dont know good sushi enough abd that style all you can eat is getting every one and they are missing how bad quality it is. Its way over priced. Manado due to location maybe worth 2 dollars more so 14 to 18 dollars. Other wise way over priced. I would go to a good place and get 3 to 4good rolls for 22 dollars instead of eating the least fresh sushi in the area at mass quantity for 22 to 30. So I give this place 2 stars only because it is sushi and lots. Thats it. Your near the water people get your self fresh sushi.

Not quite sure how I feel, after reading the glowing 5 star reviews- I had hoped that I would have a 5 star experience, well I was duped, lol - I’ve been to the Minado in Lodi, NJ which that one is awesome, massive selection, perhaps 3x more food choices than Natick,MA and the same price. Selection here is very limited in my opinion, Sushi is limited to the common styles, the sashimi is served in little indi. Plates, the seared sashimi is far away/ the miso soup was never replenished (it was just broth) the soup bowls were with the rice, the cooked food was good, but there was no shrimp in the tempura basket (again no one replenishes), everything in the serving area seemed cramped, now the place is clean, bathrooms are clean/ as is the other Minado- I can’t justify $34 per head for this skimpy AYCE place, I felt robbed.

Not friendly to anyone with dietary constraints. The manager, Guss, was very professional and tried to accommodate but his workers didnt care. I have a dairy allergy and only go for non dairy dishes. A few non dairy dishes had dairy contamination (enough that I would feel ill if ingested) so I mentioned this to the workers. They told me they cant do anything about it. I talked to the manager and he had new dishes made up. The new dishes came with dairy contamination -_-. I told this once I received the dish (Guss had left by this point). After I told the work who brought me the new dish his response, "Youre at a buffet. This is what you get." Nope, not me. I immediately found Guss and told him I want to pay for what I had eaten but I no longer wish to dine here.

This company is now flagging negative reviews in an attempt to have google remove them. That alone is shady business practices!!! My original review basically stated that the food is passable, some decent choices. I appreciate the variety of sushi, but much of it is average. My main gripe is that the lines are out of control here and the company has done nothing to alleviate that. All they need to do is re-arrange the serving stations so that people cant form lines similar to other buffets. Im not going to pay money so I can sit in a line for food. Expect to wait a while too because everyone is slow, and they dont understand the concept of a buffet so they just window shop while they hold up the line.

For what it is, Minado is a pretty good restaurant. It advertises itself as a "Japanese Seafood Buffet", and this is a mostly accurate description. The entire venue is very spacious and well set-up, and while the buffet selection isnt the largest, items are of high quality and consistently refreshed. While I dont particularly enjoy seafood, I did find the hibachi stations and the cold salads to be very good, particularly the teriyaki proteins (chicken and beef) and seaweed salads. The dessert station features fresh fruit, a few assorted pastries, and green tea soft serve as well. Lunch is a good deal at under $20 a head, but it can get pricier and more packed over the weekend.

Ya know, I dont hate Minado, in fact it isnt bad to go say once or twice a year with a bunch of people cause it is a fun experience. However, for dinner its really pricey ($30 pp) - the selection is obviously great since its a buffet, but the quality is so-so. The warm food is ok, but nothing is that special and the sushi borders between OK - to meh - to sketchy. Dont get me wrong I eat tons of sushi when I go there and have never been sick from it, but would I be surprised if I didnt feel great afterwards - not really. In the end think of it this way you go with 6 people each pay $30 for the buffet, thats $160 which is like 3 sushi boats at a normal sushi restaurant.
