Since December 2011 this restaurant has been under new management. I am delighted to say that my experiences there have been nothing but Excellent, hence the rating. If you are looking for true, authentic Chinese food, look no further. Not even Bostons own Chinatown restaurants come close. The menu has a wide and clearly manageable selection of mainly traditional fare, but have a couple of the usual American/Chinese favorites also available. The Sichuan Palace offers a culinary adventure in salty, savory, sweet, and my favorite "spicy" delicacies, and some new takes on mainland Chinese classics. The Hot Pots are superb, the noodle soups make me want to over eat, and the Tea Smoked Duck is awesome. I can never tire of this menu, nor the staff and their excellent service.

My coworkers and I went out for a "quick" lunch and decided on Sichuan, as we are not familiar with the area. What a mistake! First, we asked for crispy noodles to munch on while we waited for our soup. They never arrived, however we did receive a weird pan fried noodle/vegetable dish AFTER we received our entrees. Speaking of entrees, I specifically asked if mine came with sauce as I did not want any. I was assured that it did not, however it came out topped with a weird gooey substance that can only be described as extraterrestrial. Furthermore, we all received our drinks, meals, etc. at different times. Bottom line: horrible eating experience.

The taste of the food is ok for some dishes, and we actually went there several times because of that. However after one meal, we have to go to ER because of vomiting and diarrhea that night. We are suspect food poisoning, but doctor said its virus, most likely norovirus. After that, we didnt bother to come there anymore. As a disclaimer, im not saying it is 100% coming from their food, but this is the only food we had outside that day. Besides that waitress is not very happy if you bring a child with you, if you want to seat close to the window or place you prefer instead of the one they want, you will notice a difference on their face.

Authentic Sichuan dishes that are good and spicy. If you come here looking for a poo poo platter you are in the wrong place. Service is always quick, drinks are affordable and complementary tea is placed on the table as you sit down. They do a nice job of the whole fish and duck dishes in particular, but Ive tried a lot of others and they were all good. The one American style thing they do really well is crispy chicken wings, which you can get normal or spicy. Someone in our party ordered crab rangoon and I felt those were pretty ordinary but I really wasnt expecting anything special there. Stick to the real dishes and youll be happy.

If you usually order General Gaus and Fried Rice, pick a different restaurant! This place serves authentic food from the Sichuan Province. It can be very spicy with lots of Sichuan Peppercorn. The fish and seafood seems very fresh. Excellent preparation and a wide range ingredients and techniques on the menu. Dishes we like include Soft Shelled Crab, Boiled Fish with Silken Tofu in Chili Sauce. Yu Hsiang Eggplant, Sauteed Pork wtih Green Chili, Shredded Potato with Green Peppers, and of course a stunning Ma Po To Fu. Shrimp with Walnuts and Mango Sauce is unique. Extremely rich, sweet thick white sauce. Tasty, but plan on sharing.

We had appetizers and drinks at the bar. Very good for a reasonable price. The bar is small but very nice! Update November 23: We returned to the Sichuan Palace last night to have a drink and an appetizer at 8:30pm. After being ignored for a few minutes, we were approached by a bartender who took our order only to say they were closing in 10 minutes, but we could get take-out. The hours on the door say they close at 9, not 8:40. 8:30 is a perfectly reasonable time to have a drink/food on the premises. We will never return there. And I will be sure to share my negative experience with others in the area.

If you like spicy this place is my favorite. Beef with hot green pepper rocks. Shredded chicken (real hot) with spicy chilli sauce will make you sweat but its not so spicy you cant eat it. Chicken with pickled pepper sauce, one of my all time favorites ( a little less spicy than the shredded chicken ). Im not a fan of the duck, not because its not prepared well...its just duck meat is not my style. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Ive tried most the stuff on the "Chef Special Stir Fry" part of the menu they are all great. its closed on Mondays.

Authentic Szechuan food- not for those looking for Americanized bland dishes. Hot dishes beautifully balanced by a delightful variety of complex flavors. Excellent dishes of note: "sliced fish with pickled cabbage etc" and " smoked duck" and "wontons with chili oil". Great and authentic food if you have a palate that extends beyond the banal and insultingly American ! Insert smiley face...

When it opened 3 years ago, it was good. We went there pretty often until we got left over ingredients from one dish in another dish about one year ago. We stop going there, Recently there are friends coming to US, we took them there again, everyone got diarrhea afterwards. By the way, we always give 18% tips every time we go.

菜式品种多,正宗的也多,上菜奇快,绝对是北麻省南NH沿海一带最好的中餐之一(或者没有之一)。别听美国人瞎评价,啥也不懂。

I went there once with my Chinese friend... he ordered in Chinese and we got real Chinese food that was excellent. I ordered the same dishes for takeout, excited for real Chinese food, and got terrible lowest quality Americanized food. Also got charged $80 - significantly more than it should have cost. Never again.

A co-worker took us there first. If you like authentic Sichuan food, this is the place to go to. Excellent food, good service, decent prices. The highlight is the hot pot with spicy broth. Only on the Chinese language menu though. Also the cooked pork in chilli sauce is worth a recommendation.

Ive eaten here countless times over the years. They never disappoint. The taste is very authentic if you know which dishes to order and the service is often impressively fast. I have never had any issue with the service. They refill your water often and have always been very polite.

It was okay, but definitely not authentic Sichuan food. We ordered Fu Qi Fei Pian, it was good. But Sichuan Cold noodles is too sweet but not spicy at all. The portion of a stir fry is small to its price. The egg drop is so greasy and salty. Three stars is a generous rating.

I just ate there lunch today - Chicken Tangerine. The dish was poor quality: the chicken parts were not clean and had tendon parts with it, the sauce was crude and sticky and the overall taste was awful.
