I have been going here for years, and then not for some time. A few weeks ago we went mid-week, and it was nice to be in a familiar place. But we were surprised when handed a menu several pages of small print long. I wondered how can any place this size stay afloat offering so much on a weeknight? The answer is that things slide. The sauce was exactly the same on both the coq au vin and the pork loin, and we agreed that there was probably nothing fresh in it. I know its a tough thing to say, but I was embarrassed - my husband is in school and it was a big thing for him to take me out for a fancy dinner. The wine, though good, was several years younger than stated, and though we ordered two different desserts, they were essentially the same, just placed on the plate differently with another kind of fruit. I love Gerards cooking - he is a top world class chef, and this makes me very sad. Maybe it is different on weekends, I dont know. I will try again, but I hope next time we go the menu is more like 5-8 entrees that the chef is excited about. His sublime skill is wasted on a million menu items and being open in non-peak times. Please do what you love - we miss the you in your cooking!

Good food and cozy atmosphere, yet overpriced. Sides are always the same, disappointed with rice (most likely instant from a packet) and half boiled/ steam potatoes. The meat was great, fish was more on a dry side, so order it in a crepe that will come covered in sauce. Had a 3 hr dinner with my husband. We had a very long wait, (~1 hr) before our salad and first drink to come out. And we came only about 20 min after the opening time. Also, was disappointed with the waitress. I specifically asked her to have my meal leftover wrapped to go (I purposely did not finish lamb, because I cannot eat large portions). I reminded her once more before the desert about it; and she agreed. And then at the end of the night she told us that she simply forgot and tossed everything away :( We were not impressed how they handled this situation. For this upscale home-owned restaurant, one would expect a better care of their customers.

English: I eat the best salmon ever. This salmon is very very delicate, soft and delicious. Very good service, the staff is very good and all the restaurant is very cleaned. I love this real france restaurant. Italiano: Miglior salmone di sempre. Delicato, soffice e sopratutto gustosissimo. Lo staff è gentile e simpatico, locale pulito e posto perfettamente arredato in stile retrò. Lo consiglio davvero a tutti, questo si che è un vero locale francese.

Had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant recently and dont know why Ive waited so long to check it out. Theres something pretty cool about eating the Salad Gérard, prepared and served to you by Gérard himself. Dont go here if youre looking for a 15 minute lunch grab and go from the $5.99 special menu. Do go here to sit and sip wine and eat slowly and laugh and have a brilliant time. Thats what I did, and for that I say merci monsieur.

Our first time here and it was "Really Good". The entire evening was awesome starting with the greeting from the waitress/hostess and the owner/chef. The sauces were the highlight. It took this place being in business for 43 years before we finally found it, and we will be back soon. Well done!

The best Coq au Vin around. This restaurant has great staff with awesome personality. They really care about their customers. I will definitely tell all my friends. Its amazing how a small restaurant can make such a big impact.

This is a classic French restaurent. If you are looking for the French dining experience, this is a great place with excellent food. Just remember that the French dining experience is NOT fast.

Its a fancy french place, which is not my kind of restaurant, but my GF likes it. The food is good, but over-priced. The waiters can be slow to come around if it is busy.
